One important point to note: This exhaust has no spark arrestor, let alone a USFS approved one. I know because I just bought one and found out the hard way. Unfortunately, I'll have to pay for the shipping to send it back since I'm not trying to get fines or start forest fires here in CO. Just a heads up to those of you riding in the West!
I have been looking for a quiet aftermarket exhaust for months, came across this video about 2 or 3 weeks ago, got myself one because of this video, in stainless and not black as suggested. Im very happy. thankyou.
I’m running stock exhaust, arrow header, and stage 1.5 runs great! Sure I’m probably leaving a little power without a pipe but I like it quiet. 15k miles no issues.
SMDSR- KLX 300. I like that stock is quiet and completely legal for me to ride anywhere. Eventually I would be interested in a lighter exhaust, that complies with all EPA decibel, spark, and emission requirements that is super quiet. Right now, I can ride almost anywhere and often no one will even know that I passed through.
Excellent choice the Vince pipe system, looks fantastic as a system. However, the 'RIGG GEAR' heat shield looks ghastly, ruins the whole effort. Vince pipe looks great on its own. Why put the gaudy out-of-place heat shield on? Oh, and I'd take the baffle out and 'meat-up' the sound more. Thanks for the vid, your vid work is always great.
@@walterhaumaier9137 I remember the baffle and it seemed to lose power if anything and get really loud. I'm just keeping it stock and forget it I think
@@naturestrail2296 if I run the baffle I lose power too and it really isn’t that much quieter hopefully I don’t lose power with the Leo Vince but if I do at least it won’t give me a headache
@@walterhaumaier9137 yeah, that would really be a bummer paying all that and losing power. That's what I was worried about. I'm not sure why it loses power with the baffel out???
I put a leo silencer my 2021 cfr1100. It took about 500 miles before it sounded awesome! Baffle was taken out, only loud when accelerate hard! To be fair, stock has a great sound, Leo just emphasise the character of the engine! I may in the future get the down pipes, performance air filter and tune, but that's another £1300 and I'm not sure the difference is worth it!?
I thought I was the only one that couldn’t stand the black widow it is obnoxious I went with the Leo Vince after watching your video I have a question I didn’t see it in the video does the Leo Vince bolt to the black widow head pipe
@@adventureundone thank you for answering back I appreciate it and now that you been riding with it for a while do you notice a drastic change between the two exhaust power wise or is it about the same

Same regulations apply in South Central States. Nobody wants forest fires
Do you need one if you are street legal?

I went with a Graves exhaust system on mine, no complaints

Yeah I agree
I got the full yoshimura on stock engine. I love it. Couldn’t be happier with it 😎
How much more power with yoshimura?

I never understood the reason behind getting louder pipes. To me, the loud exhaust just ruins the enjoyment of the ride.
Another great review!
Agreed, particularly on a dual sport. If I'm going offroad, I don't want to disturb the nature. Pissing off fishermen or land owners.
In California for lane splitting. It seems safer and making yourself more heard /seen especially when lane splitting
I’m all for quiet and lighter. I’m considering the DG with the ultra quiet core for my DR. It’s nice knowing that LV has an option as well.
Anyone know how the moto x compares to the black widow?
The black widow is so loud I really regret it

Why 550 Stage 1 and not other Stages? The Stage 3 looks like it has way more torque ?
I wanted to use 87 since I ride in many remote areas
Stage 3 requires the big bore kit. Much bigger job than just a bolt on exhaust and ecu swap.
It does sound better with the new one. when SHTF you'll be able to get around with less sound 😛
I’ve always heard it pronounced Vee-neech-eee. Hope that makes sense.
Don't waste your money trying all these medium quality exhaust. Yoshimura is the best for the CRF300.
Akrapovic is better in performance and torque than yoshimura
OEM is the best.
