Hi, Thanks for the great reviews! Which one would you recommend for the senior citizen who plans to visit all of our National Parks in a class B RV? (Too specific?) 😊
@BlueMonkeyBicycles I'm looking at a bike rack, but was thinking a folding bike might be better to store in the rig. I'll take a recommendation on both if offered.
For a folding eBike, I would go light weight, perhaps the Lectric XP lite or the Qualisports Nemo. If you want more features, you could pick mostly anything from this video. If you're getting a bike rack for the car, I would also consider a full sized eBike. Full sized often fits better on a bike rack, and they are generally more pleasant to ride. If you haven't already, you can watch our list here: th-cam.com/video/wCwMrgPBNC0/w-d-xo.html
Great reviews. #1 Portola is what the family needs. Half of the girls need an a 27" inseam, so that makes it almost impossible to find with quality builds. I can agree with the selection and will let you know after a ride. Thank you.
Be aware of Portola code error 25, it’s generated when applying hydraulic brake levers and the safety feature braking power cut-off after releasing the brake levers is not restoring neither PAS or throttle power when continuing pedaling. So being sometimes intermittent error, it can progress to permanent power lost regardless of whatever is done including by your local bike shop. It was very unfortunate that Portola left me powerless in the middle of your trip, but this happened to me, hopefully will not happen to you?
I've been researching for like a week now. How come the Luckeep and EUY are not here. They are far cheaper and have bigger batteries. Can you please advise on them?
not quite sure what all the criteria is to rank all these bikes. how do they all compare with each other when it comes to: weight? range? single or dual motors? voltage/power? mechanical or hydraulic brakes? do they stay folded well or come apart?
what about the evercross ek6? I wish there was more reviews on it. I def want to check out a cple of the bikes mentioned though but I did just order the evercross and first e bike for me.
Many retailers, including bike companies, adjust pricing using a fake MSRP. I used my industry experience to pick bikes in the price range that will likely stay there.

Will you be traveling with a bike rack on the back of the car, or keep them folded up and stored inside?

I’m looking for a fast e bike with a storage spot where I could put a basket in the back for my stuff!
Any good ideas for a reasonable price!? 😊
