In an interview not long before the game released, Yokoyama said that Han and Zhao were originally not gonna return but they added them in last minute because they didn’t want to upset fans.

Huh.. I mean I'm glad they're both here but adding them last min just makes the writing fall apart more 😭
It actually make sence consider the fact that their story end at 7. But I guess for the fanservice they gonna do it anyway, even at the last minute.
The writing team also knew that the two's actors on the JP side had busy schedules during the period they would be recording, which is part of why they were initially left out.
Joon-Gi Han doing karaoke was amazing.

Im pretty confident the reason you get him so late is the devs saw how broken joongi was in the first game, and since they buffed all retuning characters, they put him so late in the game. Leave him hitman, and he will be damage incarnate. Ps love the videos. 👍
Apparently the actual reason is that Joon-Gi (and Zhao) were originally not even gonna be in the game at all, but because they were so popular with fans they both came back
Also allegedly they didn't plan to have Zhao and Jong Gi as returning characters. It was added later on due to fans wanting then so bad.

I found Aquanaut really good with Joongi Han as well. The offensive stats are a bit worse but the Aquanaut's unique armor lets them bypass any resistances, so I inherited the knife skills that did crazy back attack damage and used charm/paralysis to guarantee he'd always get huge damage.

After finishing the game, I think you should try out all Karaoke songs in both Japanese and English. Some of them are really amazing, and some like Joon-Gi's are absolutely hilarious to hear, like what Ichiban is mumbling about... Something about a dishwasher 😂
I was presently surprised to find out that the outfit Joon-Gi wears while singing on the rooftop is actually the default outfit for him if you put him in the Host Job.
Wong Tou should have been the 5th party member of Ichiban's party, he had a reason to be, but instead no, they just kill him off, I mean they could still have Joongi be a 6th member of Ichiban's party, but that'd be unfair when Kiryu's would only have 5.
I feel like Hanawa would have been a good 6th party member for Kiryu. It's actually kinda weird that he didn't go with him since he's supposed to be his caretaker

Honestly, I think Wong Tou would have make far more sense being in Ichiban's party than Joon-Gi. The guy had so much potential and obvious reasons to be there... 😔

Joon-gi Han is no longer Joon-gi Gone (also iirc the reason he joins the party so late is bc he's still incredibly broken)

I really hope you take a gander at the English version soon. You’d have to do it with Zhao though, since auto tune was used for Joongi, which is ridiculous and makes me wonder who at SEGA thought it was a good idea

I thought this game was going to be about becoming a millionaire and then I thought it was Ichibans infinite wealth of life through good deeds and now it's some crazy revenge story I don't understand why the bad guy wants to eliminate some Yakuza but reinvent other Yakuza.
In the English dub I prefer Zhao in Japanese I prefer joongi . Also.. Joongi looks like an Fboy in that outfit... it suits him he got on the most basic fit but because he's good looking he rocks it. Chitose was supposed to make him blend in look at that man he got that chain on it doesn't matter if it's fake . That man is out here in the most basic fit but he still looks the best.

@@kingstation3148 They did really do alternate jobs better than in 7. a job's level up just boosts your stats by like 1. So switching doesn't do any harm.
