Well, I don't like it but it makes a lot of sense the way they did it for her character. She is iconic, but would she be as iconic if she came for another season, basically the same person. This way she kind of left on top as a character. She was able to put it together, protect herself, get revenge on Greg by killing his lover, she went out on top in a very Tanya way.

@@LayllasLocker yeah but they don't actually have evidence that he planned everything, what they have is 3 people shot dead, a gun with her fingerprints, one witness that can say that she's the one who started shooting everyone (the guy that jumped off the boat) and they know that she died by drowning, but they can assume she could've just commited suicide after killing them. Besides Portia, they can't actually prove that they tried to kill her, and Portia tbh just straight up left and didn't cared at all when she heard about the death. Another thing is that even if the police suspected, they're the mafia, they have the police on their pockets

If Tanya were to survive and come back next season she would be a caricature of herself, this way she went out in a very Tanya way, while still getting revenge on Greg. Even though, sure, he will inherit her money he lost his lover and friends.

The legendary Ms. McQuoid was the Queen of the White Lotus. Of Sicily. Im massively worried the White Lotus will never be the same without her. May she rest in peace. Coolidge is a comedic genius.
At first I was like "you couldn't have her in every season, that wouldn't be realistic" (yeah, I know it's a tv show) but then I thought as long as the other storylines were just as strong that it could work because then the show wouldn't just be focused on her
I just realized now that the reason why Tanya's husband was having a fit over Tanya's Assistant coming along on their vacation was because he didn't want the assistant to be another worry for his Murder plan that he orchrestrated with his Gay friends.

Jennifer Coolidge is a giant reason for the White Lotus' success, the second season wouldn't have been interesting without her, none of the characters were really interesting to me in the second season except for Tanya. Coolidge is so unpredictable and idiosyncratic in her acting craft which makes her absolutely unique and extraordinary, she should be in every season of the White Lotus, we don't know for sure that she dies in the end, she could be just unconscious, and she should get many interesting, multidimensional, dramatic roles in Hollywood and elsewhere!

It honestly felt like they continued the show and centered Season 2 around her just because she was so amazing in the first season. I hate that they killed her off in the end, but maybe she didn’t want to do another season.
You can't kill of the main star. Periodtttt. The smartest move would be to have Season 3 be a PREQUEL. The clue being her saying "Whenever I stay at a White Lotus, I always have a memorable time. Always." (See Season 2 Trailer) proving that she's been to them more than just Hawaii in Season One.

I love the fact that they ended Tanya's character in a justifiable and unexpected way, but weirdly I am also unhappy to not see here in next season.
