In todays video I find myself travelling from Auckland to Adelaide with Air New Zealand in Economy Class, so how was the experience, I thought it was pretty good actually, what are your thoughts after watching the video?

I have not flown on Air New Zealand but haven't been to NZ for many many years. Need to get over the ditch and will definitely give AirNZ a go! looks like a solid airline.

I love the Air NZ livery, it is just so stunning! QF's current IFE was introduced in 2016, and it is STILL not found on all aircraft. And yes, QF is really lagging behind. The seat chat is pretty cool, they had this feature on an Air Asia X A330 once and I thought that was interesting. I had the EXACT meal when I flew QF AKL-SYD in 2014. The eggs (if I remembered correctly) are of the instant variety. Ah, I love that approach into ADL especially after a long international flight. Such a nice welcome home.

Really liked your genuine review, although may disagree with the quality of the food on the Air NZ breakfast, those eggs are revolting. Agree though with your sentiment that Air NZ are the best across the Tasman. Very relaxed, authentic service and they're so easy to travel with. If you have the chance to use their lounges in Australia also, they're very good. The new A321NEO looks stunning inside. Somehow they feel much more spacious in Economy than Qantas, which is probably true due to extra cabin with of A320/321 compared to B737...

Great Airline. I used to fly Melbourne to Auckland and on to Rarotonga in the Cook Islands. Six trips from 1997 to 2003. On 767s no winglets and one time 747-400. Great service in Economy and Business class. Been travelling Australia up to 2019. Nothing since. Sadly my age and health have caught up with me. Long flights would not suit me now. Great review.
Yeah! I have flown Air New Zealand numerous times, never had a bad experience!

As I’m a New Zealand Citizen 🇳🇿, it was great watching someone like yourself to do a great review on my countries National Carrier. After watching this, I can see why Air New Zealand has been awarded the number one airline for 2023.(Yes that’s right, Air New Zealand has overtaken Qatar). Keep up the good work with your videos.

Nice trip report! The IFE on these planes is really good. Even if you have not paid for movies there are plenty of free tv shows and lots of podcasts and audio. And the earbuds are a vast improvement over the headphones.
Yeah! I am not a movie person so I found myself taking videos, listening to music the whole flight!

Good video, informative and enjoyable. Qantas seem to have two products flying across the ditch. Their 737’s are a bit cramped and not great, but the A330’s they use are great, better than Air NZ. The other issue with Qantas is their lounge at Auckland is dated and poor.

I have flown too many times to count since the 90's from economy - business - first class to USA via New Zealand. VERY, VERY, VERY good service & the trips were excellent with wonderful service in all 3 classes. I flew often during the 90's & a few more times in the 2000's. A bit over 3 hours in economy & I used fly over for a work trip but knew the 3 hours + a bit was easy. I often took flights over from Sydney & the bonus was the then Duty free Allowances I would give to my work colleagues after they paid the small costs.

Never too late to watch your trip report from Canada. I was impressed with your video. The crew member who greeted you on board sounded genuinely pleased to see you, which was nice. I’m in Canada but lived in NZ and Australia in the past. Do you travel often to NZ because of family ties there?
How good is it that we can travel internationally again! Air New Zealand looks like a quality carrier (even though looking at the onscreen menu you still have to pay for certain drinks it seems?).

It really is! Yes it is a shame you need to pay for some drinks, but on the whole they were a really quality carrier! And yes, hopefully some more international soon :)

I am interested in your opinion of seat comfort, as the A320neo's and A321neo's have the next generation of slimline, ergonomically designed seats with an extra 1cm width with a 5cm recline. Whilst it doesn't sound much it is very comfortable. Seat 30A has a 29 - 33” (74 - 83cm) seat pitch which is to close for my liking but seat in recline mode is good unless the person in front of you reclines their seat.
The centre seat next to you, has a seat width of 2 cms.
I guess ill have to try it when I am next in New Zealand!
