You are awesome my friend. As a New Zealander seeing your little gestures of our language and culture, even if not completely correct, you made an effort, and care. Thank you, Nga Mihi. ❤
Andrew, a lot to say! First of all, congratulations, how nice it is to land in another country and be able to get to know something new, much more when it is something desired. From New Zealand, we here in Chile also feel like a dream destination and it is also very far (although we have a long direct flight, as you saw in the airport video hahaha). I think one of my "aviation dreams" would be to fly on Air New Zealand, and seeing the experience with you has been very nice, the food looks delicious, the plane looks very comfortable and beautiful. I am very happy to see that you are happy traveling, many greetings and thanks for sharing!
Im glad you enjoyed, Ariel. I believe the flight from Santiago to Auckland is the longest flight over water! I imagine you would enjoy New Zealand. The scenery is fabulous and there are a few buses waiting for you! I actually just flew back from Korea and took a premium bus from Seoul to Busan hehe.
Wonder when we can expect direct flight from Auckland to KIX Osaka, please let’s us know when is it start. We are ready to go this end of October. Thank you.
I don't know when or if Air New Zealand will fly to Auckland. Maybe ANA or Jetstar will fly this route. Please check with different airlines for route and times.
Thanks so much for this video! Great info. We are flying as a family to NZ from Toronto later this year (my 3rd time, their 1st!). I have a Samsung phone. So you just went to the website and it somehow connected by going into the Settings from there? Any idea if the in-flight entertainment can be heard via Bluetooth vs having to bring wired headphones? Cheers!!!
From Toronto is quite the treck! For the phone, I think i went to googles homepage, and clicked advanced and OK'd the connection which lead me to the AirNZ wifi screen. Afaik, there is no Bluetooth capability on the seat's IFE. Enjoy your trip!
All I want to know is did you get a charging port there for a laptop or phone? I have never been on a plane this long distance and most planes I have been on didn't have any of it.
I’m planning a trip to New Zealand in 2025. When I visited in 2019, I flew Qantas premium economy. This time I’m thinking of trying Air New Zealand skycouch. Did you see any single passengers using the skycouch feature?
I dont recall to be honest. The sky couch price is a couple hundred, so I'd investigate the difference compared to prem economy. I think its also dependent on how full a flight it.
Hi! So I’m flying 17 hours with Air New Zealand and it’s also my first time on a plane so I’m nervous! Do they let you put your backpack under your seat so you can pull out books and clothes and things or do you have to store it overhead? Also, would you recommend bringing your own headphones for the screen? Thanks!! 😄
This is very exciting! You can put your bag under your seat and access throughout the flight! I usually bring two bags for longhaul flights. 1 goes above and I don't touch it. 2 a smaller bag that goes on the floor with all my essentials: electronics, clothes (you'll notice I change clothes in the flight), toiletries and anything I may need for the flight. I always use my own headphones. If you have your own I suggest you bring 'em. Enjoy your trip!
To my surprise, no. Mileage accumulation is based on booking class (there's a lot of them). In my particular ticket, there was none for this leg, but others there was for this itinerary.
Don't waste $$ on the Skycouch. Two adults cannot get comfortable. While we did like the extra seat space we found we were requesting the couch be disengaged. If its an adult and a child it is probably worth it.
Thanks for checking out this review. I really enjoyed the hospitality of ANZ and hope to visit again soon!
What destination would you love to visit?🤔

Many thanks! I enjoyed visiting New Zealand and learning much about the culture and language!

Look in the corner and see the A there will be like A 30 A Stands for airpoints and to earn them you have to sign up
I'm not signed up with airpoints, but since ANZ is Star Alliance, points can be earned through partner airlines.
How do you remeber 34K, the first row, window, exit seat? Thanks
No your wrong if you fly like an atr or a320 & up but not the a321 the Kia Ora magazines are normally in your seat pocket
With atr and a320, perhaps this may be the case for domestic / regional flights.
All I want to know is did you get a charging port there for a laptop or phone? I have never been on a plane this long distance and most planes I have been on didn't have any of it.
Yes all dreamliners have them.

If you can, the PE upgrade for ANZ is totally worth it. Their sweet spot. Skycouch is not great
How did you find the seat width? It seems to measure narrow
I found them similar to other economy seats. I did not find them more narrow than others.
@@theglobalpeasantdreamliner seats are noticably narrower
i am traveling to japan this fall and i was wondering if they still require masks onboard japan airlines
No masks are required on planes or in Japan. You'll see many still do but don't feel obligated.

787-9 on top
Wait? What? U do not get any mileage accrued for traveling?!?!? What thats crazy
To my surprise, no. Mileage accumulation is based on booking class (there's a lot of them). In my particular ticket, there was none for this leg, but others there was for this itinerary.
12:00 super discount promo tickets ❤❤
i hope seat pitch is comfortable enough for 165-170 cm height person lol
That's roughly me, so if I appear comfortable, you should be to!
Air nz never enforces their 7kg policy, they once weighed my bag, and they let me on without a problem despite being 5kg overweight
Nah, I dont think any full- service airlines do...at least none that I know of. I think its more a guide than anything else.

Ya its not a product for everyone but adds the option to passengers. As you mentioned, an adult and child would probably work best.
