I've been tempted to pull the trigger on this for a few days. I've been watching a bunch of videos. This is the best one. Right to the point. Not 15-20 minutes of unnecessary detail. Nice work.

    Weightman espresso scale @$16 dollars!

Thanks for the vid! I just got my Flair 58 and noticed I'm needing to grind 4-5 clicks finer on my DF64 MP SSP than I do on my Breville Dual Boiler for the same shot (dosing 17g into an 18g VST basket on both). Do others find this similar?

i have the weightman (or some other brand name) scale - its super cheap and reliable. I can fit it nicely on the drip tray. cost me around 20 dollars only

@@coffeenerdaaron just a few days ago, broke my weightman scaled when a few droplets of coffee seeped inside it cause my flair was dripping coffee. Suggest to use matting or some sort of protection

I’ve got a Timemore Nano that should fit easily. It’s around $100USD ($135CAD) and is: immune to drips, has a removable silicone heat guard, can monitor and display flow rate along with time, is super responsive and is teeny-tiny!! 10 X 11.5 cm, 2 cm tall. The Lunar is two and a half times as much and only slightly smaller at 10.5 X 10.5 X 15.5 cm. Oh yeah, and the Lunar has (I guess) $200 worth of Bluetooth…🙄

I’ve been using Flair58 for past two months and I do agree with all the aspects you mentioned. It’s great when someone wants to experiment but on the opposite site feels like each cup is unique as it’s close to impossible to always apply the same pressure at the same stage 😂

Who knew that coffee making could become such an expensive hobby so fast?!? I dipped into the espresso world with the Flair Pro 2 and graduated to the Flair 58 and I am loving it! At some point money spend on specialty coffee will exceed money spend on gear...that is if I don't buy more gear 😂

Came here for the Flair 58, saw this recommendation from YT. Overall, great info and great video quality. And you’re natural on camera!
This is NOT an advice but just my own opinion…
I figure since this is a new channel, I’d leave you a feedback.
This was the first video I watched from your channel, and afterwards I checked your earlier videos as well. I found that I didn’t like your channel logo/intro with the logo. It just feels like it’s not up to par with the quality of the video.
    Keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback. My good friend from Brew Sleep Draw created the logo for me and I really like it but maybe the way I’m utilizing it could be better, do you have any suggestions?

Really well done video! Top notch production value for this kind of video. Been eye'ing the 58 for a while, hoping to pick this up some time this year once I can afford it. 😅 A little surprised you didn't touch on the electronic parts more, a lot of people tend to bring up that the those feel cheap and/or feel out of place or messy when having to have it all connected.

Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. I do agree that the cord for the heating element could be better but the reason I didn't say much about it was because for me it was sort of a non issue. When I have it setup on my coffee bar the cord is routed down behind the bar and plugged in underneath so I don't even see it, I'll I see is the top section with the buttons which sits on the top of the bar but sort of behind the 58 and out of the way. I do wish there was a better way to integrate the electronics and make it feel more like a part of the design instead of an afterthought, but again it didn't bother me enough to list it as a con. 😉

I use the subminimal nanofoamer to create steam milk when pulling shots from the Flair 58 and it's been fantastic, I love the Flair specially because I dont want to spend 5k + in a really good Machine yet
