Don't sweat your critics, most have never raced, were part of a race effort, or built anything themselves. Everyone starts somewhere. You're a great example of someone who makes it happen on their own. Every racing dynasty started with someone who built the first race vehicle, figured it out themselves, and earned their way in. What you did is more meaningful than getting a seat in a pro vehicle because you are a second or third generation driver/builder. Lots of respect for what you have done.

He built it in his garage? Funny because i literally just heard him say he took a brand new frame and the body to a builder had him build it. And then came in and gave his 2 cents on what parts needed to be put on. I've had plenty of customers like that. There's a reason their shit breaks all the time and the "ugly cheap mechanics truck" has consistent reliable finishes. But what do I know I'm just the greasy mechanic in the back.

I have a 94 ranger with 4 billion inches of travel . 4x4 cut and turned TTB 💪🏻. Runs on 4 inch lift coils and some cheap shocks 😂 handles offroad racing like a champ !

Ol Homemade motorsports. I remember his truck when he first raced it and to say it wasn't done correctly is being nice about it. Glad he's still running and the truck now looks a lot nicer.

He made his dream come true. I am also from SD, and in 2007 I attended the Baja 1000 with my auntie who was part of the Desert Assassins team, and they were trying to recruit me as a possible navigator for one of their racing series. I ended up joining the US navy instead, but I have always wanted to race. I didn't have the money, or hardly any experience in building, repairing vehicles (I'm an IT). Much props to this dude. I also had a 1998 Tacoma. I also thought about building that for either a hot import tuner truck or pre-runner.
