Meso so anxious to talk and explain it’s amazing how someone can be so dedicated, have the ability to create such amazing machines, kudos ma guy live the build.
That was a solid question from Larry about the handbrake actually. I dont think it will work like how the builder envision it tho, without central diff and clutch pack, the handbrake will stop both front and rear wheels in 4WD config with a transfer case. That's the reason why Group B rally cars didnt have handbrake
I think you're correct, it was something he breezed over, "...you don't want to have your foot full throttled," as Larry highlighted asking if it only engaged the front with programming and he said no: If you're locking the rear but the drive is engaged you could power slide I suppose but you're not gonna be able to goose it until completely disengaged if the front is pulling besides also having rear engaged still. If his claim is accurate that you can drive select, you _could_ in theory have a hydrologic drive select engaged with the hand brake and be able to goose while power sliding, otherwise it's just going to operate as a break in sand.
I feel like this build has been cooking for a minute. If I remember correctly, there was a thread on Tacoma World where Meso was playing around with a twin turbo setup for the 2GR. He blew the engine, and started working on a LS swap. Fast forward to today…
The owner, stew, has been doing absolutely wild things for YEARS. You can look up other builds of his. He built an insane Datsun 510 build. Gtr build, has a 1965 chevy Malibu that is on top of a c6z06 drive train. I used to work for him when I was younger and he was putting iPads inside Nissan 350/70z cars in 2012 that ran his radio/climate control.
Incredible intelligent guy. However, one thing I learned having my own company is to have a spoke person and to not interrupt people constantly specially being recorded etc

It's a family car! Um, death trap for families anywhere near this truck, or anyone in the back seat with the exposed cage. This should not be legal for the street anywhere. But it is a sick build.
@@slimigan not a problem unless the rear passengers are over 5’10”. It’s a tacoma, they’re not big trucks to start with. What would you do differently?

Stoked to see this finally done, it has been under the knife for so long. Stew has been making top notch parts for the 3rd gen Tacoma for years
Such a cool build. NO words can properly describe it

The handbrake does work as intended. They did a shoot with Larry in the desert and he drifted it, using the Ebrake.

Super awesome build and the builders energy and enthusiasm ⚡️
Bad ass truck Terra crew needs to do a video on this once it's finished in the desert.
Meso's truck goes hard AF.

Beautiful build!🤙
That light bar 🤯🤯
This is one of the nicer SEMA builds I have ever seen, really gorgeous. How is this thing possibly registered in California?
Love seeing Brad DeBerti in the background. 😂😍

As we would say when I was in Australia,
“ It’s a Bitza!”
Bits of everything. 😂
That thing is mind-blowing 🤯 I'm in ❤️ 😍
Badddd! I really like he did it in a factory Tacoma color.
The lightbar is so cool nice idea
Most capable "street truck" on the planet lol. Cool build
Street truck turned into baja truck turned into street truck. Wild but sick
It identifies as all of the above 😊
Expensive custom rig right there boys and girls lol

😊 this is a siiiiccckkk siiiiccckkk truck I like it 😂
Bluetooth shift paddles? “Bluetooth device not found” whoops. 🤣
I was just thinking... Does he have to charge the steering wheel?

Damn thats a badass taco!
Taco on point!!!
Can’t even call it a Tacoma anymore!

HellBeamz is a better nick name!
Those lanyards you need to wear at SEMA are hideous... why are they so big? 😂
so people know who you are
How much for one?
Now that’s a 70k Tacoma. Lol
Bluetooth is so unstable, using it for paddle shifters is kinda iffy to me 😬

I just don't want this truck to be in the dirt
