That fireball, it didn’t work for me either but I took it apart and it looks like it’s something wrong with the piece that makes it shoot
Edit: a piece was not pushed in all the way it being the price that had the spring so you just have to fix that.
just built the set myself, i have a theory on whats wrong, there is a angled black panel which is supposed to press the button on the launcher brick when the jaw is extended fully, maybe what youve done (a mistake i also did which i fixed,) is you placed the panel's technic pins a bit too low, since i believe there are some free sockets you could easily mistake. i dont know how to fix it except for taking the head apart and remembering where the pieces go, which is what i did. hope it helps!
I too can't justify the price although I am for sure going to buy it. I love that the booklet includes his history thats very Nintendo to include that. I love the display looks great looks a lot like a final boss stage and the puppeteer aspect is a huge plus for me. I am also a huge fan of all things Nintendo but mainly Super Mario Bros. and Bowser as well. I am definitely getting it I saved up for a long time as soon as heard about it can't wait for its release!

I doubt I'd be buying this set myself. Luckily for me my gf is going halves on this for a Christmas gift. Can't wait to build and display him.

But yea in salem oregon (where i’m at). I was able to get it for 178. Basically our lego store had a bunch of discounts and they were stackable for some reason

From my 6 year old son's perspective I can see this having way more play than the question block or NES system. He would totally grab this and fight his other Lego figures/sets.
For sure. It's fairly heavy though, so make sure he's careful with it!
If it was Ganon I would have dropped 270 instantly, but as beautiful as it is and how well animated it is, that's a bit out of my range.

Price to part, it's right on. It's giant + unique + all those incredible play functions make it so much fun and give it life. While $250+ is too steep for me, and I'd rather have a giant Lego building or space ship with the money, I feel like it's still "worth it."
i picked this set up , whilst it was one a discount down to 180, i also used two giftcards which brought the price down to 140, so ye xd

Lego is to expensive these days. I love castle sets but I can't pay 400 for it. The bricks and pieces system does not offer any mini figure parts like it use to. It's just sad I won't be buying much more lego in the future

Just got mine today and can't wait to build this thing. Me and my parents knew it was a little pricey but that's just Lego and big brands for yea. Still definitely worth it though. This looks amazing

Ha first thought after opening the video and seeing bowser was he better be like 2 feet tall for the price point. The size is great either way. Makes sense to be priced more around the 240 mark. But i also thought 'now we need a donkey kong like this'

I just got this for $160! So worth it !
I’ve seen many sets that are more expensive than this one and have a lot less. Bowser is actually priced correctly, and I’m definitely going to buy it soon
The Mighty Bowser is quite modular, you can always go back to about the instruction for bag 14-15 and undo the head from the jaw upwards then you can fix the shooter of the flame. I just did it yesterday because I messed it up, in the first build I inserted the fireball into the shooter too hard and nearly broke the head lol. By the way I got the set at about USD188 in a local toy shop.
I've only recently gotten back into Lego stuff, but man, this thing really feels like it sets a new standard for large character builds. the puppet-style approach is incredible and I hope we see more of that in the future.

I just built this last night. Complex? Yes. Overpriced unless you've pined for a Bowser model for years? Yes. Extremely cool? Absolutely.
But difficult or tricky? Not a bit. There is a book that literally tells you exactly what to do.
Fair criticism? Would be nice to be able to disassemble easier and the stand is actually stupid and undersized for him. But my Bowser hangs out with a vintage Voltron now.
$270. Sold. Getting it on day 1. Not even a question.

We complained about the price and basically said most people shouldn't buy it at $270. We are failing miserably if this is supposed to be a paid promotion.
Sit down Charlie and maybe try to understand how sometime things work on YT and how LAN is a thing in the LEGO community.
