The only problem I have for this entire set is its monstrous price. It’s one of those “looks incredible, but I’ll never have it myself” sets, but that’s okay, it’s very entertaining to watch you just having fun with the set lol
I agree I was hyped for the Lego ideas Sonic set to release but when I heard it was a Lego store exclusive I sadly passed on it and I wasn't able to find the set in a Target until after the price hike which was a big let down cause 70 dollars is asking a lot for a set with under 1000 pieces I understand licensing and all but Lego shouldn't make the consumer suffer for a licensing fee especially when they are a multi billion dollar company now, this was also why I quit buying Lego sets normally cause they are beginning to cost an arm and a leg now after they raised the prices and they were already pretty high already it just made it worse
after scanning the code and starting the level, mario can scan the blue on the pow block without the barcode and the pow works. mario knows he’s stomping on bowser when he scans yellow or green, and knows he’s scanning the pow block when he scans the blue.
This looks really cool and I would love to own It at some point. Specially since It is a well built puppet. Currently saving money for the Sanctum Sanctorum and Optimus Prime doh, so this one gotta wait.

2:50 Well, technically it is repeated. It’s just that both sides are flipped opposite of each other. Flip one side 90 degrees, and you’ll see it’s the same cobblestone pattern.
The POW-block does function! You're supposed to get rid of the fire rain by hitting the pow. Mario just recognizes the blue as the POW-block while fighting Bowser, why? I don't know. But my guess is because people will be zooming around really fast and just recognizing blue compared to a barcode is a lot easier for the scanner to do :p
Set price is nuts but it doesn't look like the lego prices are going to be reasonable moving forward since August. I might turn in my VIP points for this to make the price more realistic and then be done with lego for a long time
I'm so glad that this is an actual build and not that electronic crap they did with the rest of the characters. At least LEGO the had the deceny to respect the King
Just got this for over £100 off (£120 instead of £230) and have almost finished it, just have the shell and arms to do. Awesome set, but definitely not worth full price. I love how his legs move as if he’s jumping when you pick him up!
A nice building set comparing with the Mario question mark box 71395 and at least it is worth to the piece to pieces counts and it’s gigantic as well 😅

It looks amazeing I kinda want to build a giant throne like in Mario galaxy cause thoes pillars are on either side then the throne in the middle and to just have him sit on a massive Lego throne that would be awesome!
I was going to buy this set but after Lego's insane price increases on August 1st, it really soured me on Lego as a whole. Now all I think about is what the prices on these new sets should have been versus what they are charging now. 5-10 dollar increases would have been acceptable and logical. But $30, $50 and even $70 increases is just plain greedy and I won't be taken advantage of. There's plenty of other satisfying hobbies out there where I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off.

Bags 5-22 Bowser. Just Bowser. No step by step build up of him, just "yeah the rest of the set's Bowser."
I wish Pokemon would make a deal with lego because this could be turned into a Blastoise build with just some modifications to the color and some of the details and especially looking at the lower part of the body a lot of early pokemon designs like charizard, Rhydon and Dragonite all have that same kind of wide leg gap short legs build that this bowser reminds me of SO much

I’ve been wanting to collect super Mario sets for quite some time, but I never have because I’m one of those people who have to collect them all, and I’ve already made that commitment to ninjago and Jurassic world, which I think is enough. But your review on this it has convinced me that I should at least consider getting this one. Not only would it be a great 18+ set, but Bowser is my second favorite video game character, 1st being Spyro. In the end, the price is gonna be the overall factor of no.
