This might actually be one of the best looking sets I've ever seen. As a big fan of mario, Bowser looks *perfect* Everything from his face to his arms to his shell looks so organic and full of life. He looks like he does in the games and that is impressive.
This is THE definitive building brick bowser and will most likely be an all time classic and never be topped because this is as accurate as it can be (by far one of the most genius and best sets ever designed imo). It's just insane how perfect it is. I always wanted a building brick bowser (lego) since I was a kid so this is literally a dream come true in the most perfect way possible lol
Now THIS is the true form of the King of the Koopas! I would love a Drybones version, that would be awesome! This figure is just amazingly built, just going to show that there are plenty of loving Mario fans who want to bring these video game icons to life.

One of my favourite sets released this year, the shaping and piece usage is PERFECT. Not only does this look so good but it has so many posability options for such a detailed build. I can't think of anything to complain about,very strong set 🍌
The POW-block removes the fireballs at the beginning of the second phase, you need to emagine having this dude at the end of a stage, then you can't just stop and wait around. This is to enhance the 2 player thing. Bowser has to be careful to not knock over a pillar or he'll be more threatened by Mario.
About the stand: The price is determined before the designers make the set, so this set was 270€ no matter what. The designers added the base to have the price be justified :)
I was gonna say something about it being weird to be freaked out by a LEGO but A. I don’t wanna be rude and B. If I woke up at 3am to pee and this mf was staring at me I think I wouldn’t need to walk to the toilet at that point
I really like this. The more reviews I see, I hear nothing but high praise for its design interactive features they mostly like the base he set on. I agree 100% on all you said apart from the base. I've played the games and it is the perfect set piece because it looks exactly like his final boss levels across many of his boss appearances. As for the price I am leaning more and more to excepting it. Its not like many sets where its just a statue this one you can really interact with it. You mentioned so much that not many mention which is the possibility of playing with the family that could be a really big deal for some people.
I thought this was overpriced at first, but seeing him next to mario really puts into perspective the sheer size

I think it would’ve been cool if they used the nsmbw final boss music instead of that one. It just feels more grand and exciting.

The Pow block could just be for play aid, like a kid could let mario jump on it and pretend he's more powerful
