Excuse my ignorance but I've just had this vid in my recommended, do you have any film relating to Derbyshire trucking from mid 50's to mid 60's? My dad died 3 days ago and he drove for a couple of Derbyshire firms and it would be nice to visualize along with my memories.

@@truckinghistorymydiecastco5274 Alas I don't remember any names he told me. I know one owner also had a mine (coal) and another had a service station. I also remember another owner who was so tight when he bought any new vehicle he had the heater took out so the other drivers couldn't complain. Oh hang on, one firm might have been Ramsdens or Marsdens - something like that. Thank you for taking the time anyway.

My favourite trucks of the period would be the Scammell Crusader, the Ford Transcontinental and the Leyland Marathon. US trucks would be the Kenworth K100 and the Mack R series from "Convoy". Used to live on a main road in the late'70's before they built a new bypass and there were large trucks flying past every day. My diecast collection is way too big, need a larger house I think.
