Same. My fiancé was with me and she doesn’t watch wrestling (she got me tickets as a birthday present). But by the end of the whole show the thing she took out of all of it was how incredible that match was and how impressed she was with FTR (BCG as well, but FTR is just so damn good that they stood out more to her).
I honestly couldn’t believe we got a major PPV main event caliber match like that. I know they’re all so good but they REALLY went for it.

Tag Team matches and Lucha Libre Trios are entirely separate traditions you dimwits! The problem isn't racism or such BS, it's what happens when you blend the two into the chaotic mush that fills the modern indie tag team wrestling and plagued the first years of AEW to the point even Jericho noticed it.
Rules and traditions are there to create a structure and the image of a legitimate athletic contest. I'm not as fanatical about kayfabe as Jim (I don't think anyone is) but I want to believe in what I'm watching.

He has a great cadence to his voice that many other announcers just don't have that makes everything seem bigger than it really is and he accomplishes it a lot of the time by not having to scream the way Excalibur does (altho he does scream sometimes). as soon as he left WWF they took off to heights they'd never saw before. I think that's why bret is still so so bitter. I think he knows he screwed up by letting his ego get in his way and jumping to wcw where he was a fraction of what he was. he looked miserable on tv everytime they showed him. he looked heart broken every time he was on screen.

I noticed something: Jay White is being pushed as the star, BUT in their tag team matches-- in the falls that Jay and Juice win, it is due to something that JUICE did. In their losses, Juice has to lose the fall. ( although I am judging this based on 4 falls )

Juice Robinson = solid mid-carder ( He should always be in the mix for the TNT or International Titles. )

Collision feels like WWE when Triple H took over, people were mocking him for not immediately turning the ratings around but they continued with the good angles and PPVs building the judgement day, gunther, the bloodline and seth rollins characters and now we're starting to see increase in ratings because of the groundwork that was laid last year.
If Collision continues in the current direction with good matches, building characters in Jay White and Juice who was basically useless on Dynamite, showing what FTR can do, having Ricky Stark actually do something interesting later in the year we may start seeing the results of the groundwork that's being laid here.

My only complaint with this match is the finish of the last fall. It was a fine explanation with the knee pad thing, and I also get that they are protecting Jay because they obviously have bigger plans for him after this, but they really should have tapped together with the double sharpshooter. The crowd was going ballistic, they didn't need to go back up and down the roller-coaster ride at that point. The double tap out would have been an excellent finish that I don't even think makes either guy look weak. Both Juice and Jay have picked up a fall against FTR, so the overall record is 2-2, they can still do one more match. Overall though, I mean come on, what else can you say. Fantastic match boys
