What makes Sheogorath my favorite Daedra, is the fact that he's a being that doesn't care for worship, or even really his own power, but just fun. He does want respect, but he doesn't want someone that'll grovel at his feet and sing his praises with every breath, he likes people that he can either have fun with, or find some intrigue in. Its the classic idea that you'd have to be mad to play with a god, but in this case its exactly what he wants.
On the other hand he does fin Haskill quite useful as madness does not nessicarly mean the absense of all order. Just an order that is well outside of what is normally acceptable, and even those that are quite mad do appreciate having a functional home, by their rules and definitions of course.
not to mention he is fully aware that he is a video game god. he is us when we turn on cheats. literally in oblivion shivering isles.

I find it amusing how the other Daedric Lords screwed themselves over by doing all this... I mean he takes just as much joy in screwing with them, as he does with Mortals.
Quite possibly more so, and unlike many potential elements on the board he is at best a transitory ally and often when you think you are the one playing him to your tune. He is the one that is plotting just so that your plan is unraveled.

if Sheogorath were always allowed to be Sheogorath, he would always be unpredictable. If he's always unpredictable, then he becomes predictably unpredictable. However, he becomes Jyggalag to be predictable, which only helps to be unpredictable. So you'll never know.

The Daedric artifact known as Pes Dolor is a horrific weapon forged from the tears of grown men and women.
It is said that the Daedric prince of Pain and eternal Sharp Things, Legosathras, once made this weapon to use it against Akatosh, however since Akatosh was a dragon Legosathras failed to trap him,p. But this flaw in the design gave him an idea, instead of a single peace it would be multiple pieces of varying sizes and shapes and to further his own diabolical scheme the Cultists in charge of forging it made all the pieces clear.

Anarchy Killer dont get it twisted. Sheogorath is my all time favourite TES character period. Primarily because i can relate to him. I also am a bit demented. Ive been sent to 7 psych hospitals. Im not saying what for. I also can fucking SNAP when someone says something crooked, like when this one dude was mocking my irish accent and said it was fake, i broke both of his arms, one of his legs, and almost mutilated him with a glass shard before one of my friends calm me down. Yeah, they were the first channel I ever (had) subscribed to, I really loved the lore series, I had only played Skyrim at the time but this (old ) channel got me immersed into the Elder Scrolls so much I gladly "went back to the beginning" and got Oblivion & then Morrowind...but things change 😢 I wish them the best but still miss the original content 💔

To be honest the only Daedra I can see taking down Jyggalag is Hermaeus Mora because he'd be the only with the knowledge on how to do so.
But wouldn't Jygalagg know how to counter Hermaeus Mora if he knows what has happened, what is happening, and what will happen?

Mal Nexus Sheogorath is probably the smartest amongst them all… i mean from all the lore i think i don't remember him being beaten in any wager thinking completely outside the box every time
+Dan Malin Hermaeus Mora is the smartest because of his curiosity and the fact he likes gathering all past, present and future knowledges : you could accurately speak of "wisdom", "scholarship" or "intellect".
Sheogorath is rather a "trickster", as Vile Clavicus he's cunning because you can't anticipate what he has in mind when you deal with him. So yes you can consider it's a kind of cleverness because what makes the strenght of a trickster is a secret skill you don't have. Hope it's enlightening you.

Sheogorath still has the huge power level of Jyggalag but now the other princes arent too worried since now that he's crazy they dont have to worry too much about his power being used against them.

Lores aren't as interesting as Let's Plays? That's bullshit, man. I wouldn't understand half of the things I've learned from the lore series if I just watch the Let's Plays. This series is a standing proof that lore has an equal -- if not higher -- standing than playthroughs in certain cases :D

Not all of those are considered canon. Most of the TES-Travel games except for Shadowkey aren't.

TF2PNub Battlespire supposedly is cannon, though if memory serves is was simply a spin-off back in the day. You can find some references to Battlespire in books in Skyrim, but they are very vague about it.
HoNdeRallMiGhtY It's called Broad Strokes. When something is "canon" but most people want to forget about it, creators just make the lore about it as vague or obscure as they can without directly referencing it most of the time.

Man, what an adventure this show has been. Like the final episode of a favorite TV show, the end is bittersweet as usual.
This show has taught me a ton about one of my favorite game series of all times and has helped me fall asleep, when I've been unable to, more times than I care to count.
Thanks to Wes Johnson and Jeff Baker for this final episode of the season. I can't even begin to count the hours I spent roaming Cyrodil and The Shivering Isles a decade ago and hearing Sheogorath's voice again brings all the memories back just like the theme to Morrowind does to many of us from the time we hunted Dagoth Ur.
I'd like to personally thank Jeff Baker and Wes Johnson for voicing this episode, and for making a truly great finale. Alzheimer's is a very horrible disease and I'm glad TheShoddyCast is making a donation.

interesting note about Haskill is that he once attempted the very thing that the champion of cyrodiil did by mantling. he could possibly have been "Arden Sul" and Arden Sul according to the heretics; was a powerful wizard in the first era who freely explored the waters of oblivion, and found his way to Jyggalag's library but ultimately lost his mind due to the secrets he uncovered, and the other princes might've used this mortal's madness to their advantage and merge the two, warping Jyggalag into Sheogorath, creating a new daedric prince in the process, and what's left of Arden sul exists in the form of Haskill, a person who apparently knows where the last remains of Jyggalags library is held, how would he know this unless he had been previously there while the realm was still jyggalags i wonder. and of course This is if the Lore Masters interview is to be considered canon to the story.
I love Sheogorath, he is that guy who would be nice to have a nice drink with.

I'm just surprised that they didn't touch on the ending of the shivering isles DLC and the fact that the Sheogorath we encounter in Skyrim probably isn't the original, but actually the hero of kavatch who in the DLC stops the Grey March and assumes the throne of madness as the new Sheogorath.

It has been 4 years. ShoddyCast we need more Elder Scrolls lore. There is so much more you can talk about. There are innumerable stories to tell in the Elder Scrolls universe, please don’t let this series fall by the wayside.
Shivering isles is what made TES 4 my fav TES game. I could play an entire game around it.
Oblivion was my first extensively played TES game thus it's my favorite.
+Enclave Commander NO.3-117 Oblivion was a much better game story wise imo. It was just funner to play idk, I could spend days playing that game. I'd get bored after a few hours of skyrim. It's a good game just oblivion was better. Wish they were switched so oblivion was newer

Isaiah 206 Skyblivion is being made, so it would be like a revamped oblivion.
The next Elder Scrolls would be awesome if it had the following story: Jyggalag, the Prince of Order, the most powerful of the Daedra, returns to take revenge on the other Daedra. And, this time, instead of the ridiculous story where you choose between the Empire and the Stormcloaks, you can determine the fate of an entire pantheon.
Yeah, because even more power fantasy is just what TES needs...

It makes me want to go back and replay TES even after dumbing 100s of hours at a time in a single game. Keep it up. You don't need to do a live action, the way you are telling the lore is awesome...but that's just my thoughts on it.

you do realise that all of those are mostly unexplored regions, all we know about the akaviri races are myths, legends, we know the most of the tsaesci and all we know about them is they are snake people and hate dragons. The igma pointless unexplored race, Lilmothiit hasnt been seen for thousands of years, and the sloads who the crap care.

The psijic order is a very mysterious organization, known to train the grandest of wizards. The tribunal where teachers at certain points and King edward might have studied under them. mostly tales and legends not much fact
The morag tong there is a lot of lore there sufficient for a trilogy (with the Dark Brotherhood). Fun fact The morag tong services are legal in morrowind (aka you can hire an assassin legally)
Anu and Padomay are entities that are so philosophical that a lore video wouldn't be sufficient to under stand it
Arthas Menethil I love how the Morag Tong can be argued as a guardian of Morrowind's political engine.

so what is people view on the theory the mad god we meeet in skyrim is in truth the player char from oblivion ?
I'm a big fan of that theory it's cool to think a character I put a load of time into turns into a god and they will live on in later elder scrolls games

I haven't heard of this theory but it sounds intresting. Could you perhaps provide a link to more details or some sort of summary. However it's not required, as the true god of knowledge, the mighty Google, will provide the information needed eventually.

My Favourite Daedric Prince by far. I think my favourite dlc ever was the shivering isles... They were the good times.
Beautiful. Absolutely mind blowing. I loved every episode of this series and this has really reassured my love for TES and all its deep lore. It just baffles me how much content and detail you can get out of it, and no one does a better job of portraying this deep lore than you guys.
I like how they got Wes Johnson to reprise his role as Sheogorath lol
