Watching good producers has the same feeling like when I was a kid and I watched good skateboarding. It made you want to go out and skate just as this makes me want to get back in the studio. Always love watching your videos! Keep posting! ✌️
Love that setup, its crazy how you have one of the greatest samplers standing up in the background the ASR10 which goes for a high price. Yeah man! that MPC 2000XL is hitting hard. Your face does it all, your like damn I'm about to go back. I'm going to subscribe, I love that old school flavor.
Damn straight about the ASR... I really want one. I will have one at some point. But I'm gonna pay for a good one since they fuckin brake left and right it seems.
its so much better digging through disks than terrabytes of data on an enormous hard drive. there is a physicality, substance, associated with recording to small hard media. BUT i have had 100mb zip drives fail, the click of death, so i use 250mb drives and media which didn't have that problem
Respect Conductor 🙏🏽 Love to see the old machines brought back out. Im working with the Live 2 and 3000 stock 😍 it is perfect for me to have the modern functionality but be able to get that hi-fi sound. Thanks again!
@@ConductorWilliams there active almost every other day because i really use the MPC X and the Key 61 to cook now. I only use the 2000xl and the 3000 LE to a old Allen and Heath mixing board
just watched your vlog on how to deal with a block/stay inspired after this one. i gotta say you're a huge inspiration for me and you're helping a lot of creatives (or people in general, i'm sure.) thank you conductor
Great seeing you work with different gear Conductor! This channel has been a blessing, very cool seeing your workflow and appreciate your honesty and down to earth delivery. I hope to meet you someday.
I had the Mpc 2000 and I really missed that analog sounds and limitations! I was able to really get creative with so little, just the Mpc and Numark turntable 💯💪🏾
They’re digital, but early lofi digital has its own sound character (8 bit, 12 bit, and 16 bit). But most people should know that by “analog”, you’re mostly talking about the a/d converters and the physical, outboard nature of old MPC’s. And it’s NOT going to sound the same as a DAW. It’s never too late to go back to the basics!
I had the MPC 2000xl back in 1999. I miss my MPC and tons of floppy disc. That beat at 540 came in hard asf. But not sure what it turned into lol. We all have those beats lol
Thanks for the sub! Yea I remember adding them and not really even knowing how or why i needed them! Those were the days man, learning blind and having fun.
@@ConductorWilliams Oh for real im definitely looking forward to it. I recently copped a SP 606 should be here on the 26th needed something to replace my SP12 but would still give me that grit I needed .
@@ConductorWilliams Hell you can throw that damn thing away and wouldn't blink. Fry one of those artifacts and boi they'd have to check you in to the 10th floor. 👊
Those drums really do bang tho lmao. Would you ever think of slotting this into your current setup where your other MPC is just for a different sound? Maybe even have an A/B splitter bt the 606 and the two MPCs
Hello CW i go by the name of Deffkidd from Accra Ghana, West Africa. I have been following your works for some time now. i have been producing but i have no guidance. If i can get a few tips from you i will be glad Please let me know if you're interested so i send you a few tracks for you to judge for me Thanks brother

History. Im glad you rocking with me G
Used that same sample on 10:01 except I slowed it down kind cool how the same sample can be interpolated in so many ways
'texture first, then how it feels then how it sounds then science' 💯

mpc 2000 xl here still in 2023...(since 15 years)
just an easy workflow, and strong as a drumsampler /sequencer.
big up!
Man I had the Trinity, Proteus 2000 and the mpc 2000 what a time, those scuzi drives was a big upgrade from the floppy disk to.
Triton gang!!
@@ConductorWilliams if I'm not mistaken I believe those were the 1st touch screen keyboards to.

man I lost so much work from my first mpc, almost all my floppy disks went bad after so long.
Yea them floppy’s mess up! I threw mine out years ago- they were brittle.
You know theres gonna be a couple of bags to cash out of that box!

Some decent stuff in there bro
Yea there are few really good ideas floating
Didn’t know he had that. 👍🏽. My drum on that sound crazy , way better than my Live and 2500. It just take me so long to make a throw away. 😂
Inspiring 🔥🤲🏼

You had some heat in 07. This is inspiring me to check some my old cards. When did you switch from 2000xl to sp 606? Master at work 🔥

Freq and sonic spectrum
this video funny as hell cuz he's just like me when im listening to my old shit ahahahahhah

I chopped that same sample I don’t even remember what it is
What’s the beat @ 3:05 ?
Haha I have know idea- some old joint 😂

Oh you talking about the dub over beat- nah that’s a joint from last year. My bad
