That’s dope that Ali engineered that tyga mixtape. I had to look it up. He said 03’ I was like I thought that was 07’.
I like the thing he said about the bounced 2 track of the vocal stems to go in the folder for more control once the track is already mixed. That sounds oddly like a mid-side chain effect where you cut out low, mid, and high frequencies on a track.

for the vocal on the 2 track part, you can also use pro-q3 and analyze the vocals then copy and slightly duck those freqs on the 2 track it makes it fit so well
Man to hear Ali say bout that 2 track instrumental and 2 track vocals for mastering just made me know I aint crazy no more. Started doing that for albums and its a life changer. Matching the dynamics from track to track or the vocal levels, space, texture. Thanks Audio Nerdz
