I had the 5000 and returned it immediately because it kept crashing. I got the 2500 and still use it to this day

I still use my MPC2500 too, with JJOS2XL. I need to get my buttons fixed on it though.

@@kvmoore1 did you try taking it apart and spraying the switches with Deoxit contact cleaner? That will give your switches years more life.

A friend of mine worked in sales for music gear and later Akai. He asked the Akai rep at the time of JJOS coming out and he said it was all good. They were selling more 1000s and 2500s because of it so it benefited both JJ and Akai.

Got the 4000k never had a single piece of gear before it!...learned it and still going strong!..when you talk about a piece of gear thats future proof!..with tons of options functionality hard AF! punch and classic MPC sound!..its the 4000k...checks every box!...by the way did i mention i ...maxed out the Ram..Dropped an 2023 Nvme drive in it!...new LED screen...and USb interface!..Boom!!
