The guy who played the doctor: "Inspector Clouseau's residence. One moment please. It's for you." "NOOO CATO, NOT NOW!!!!!!!!" I knew i recognized him.
2:46. There aren't any rules at all. That's when Jonathon understands. The corporations make the rules, such as they are, and change them when they no longer suit the situation. Thus, there are no rules.
Houseman's character (Bartholomew) talks a lot about the "greater good" and how "no player is more important than the game." His arguments seem reasonable on the surface. As this movie goes on, we learn more about this society and find out how shallow and self-serving the 1% in this society really are. People in power always fear exceptional individuals who aren't part of their team and who don't play by their rules.
Moonpie was like a little brother to Jonathan, They were more than teammate's and friends, Jonathan told him to "stay close" because of Tokyo's playing style, No there aren't any rules at all.
@@alonenjerseyPeople can make things up and be vague. People have probably said things like that in the 1800s, and will probably say them 20 years from now. If you're vague, you can keep saying the same stuff over and over again and keep moving the goal post for it to mean anything.
My top 5 movies that I have enjoyed the most in my life: 5) Westworld, 4) Titanic, 3) Rollerball, 2) Evita and first and foremost a movie that no one should miss 1) Barry Lyndon
Barry L is definitely a classic i will look out for it again as only saw it once in the long distant past and I'm sure it would have greater meaning now
0:38 Could've at least let Moonpie have his hospital bed in room number 9!!!! I can't believe I treat Rollerball like a real sport, fixating over players numbers!!!!
As much as Caan puts in an intense performance in this movie, I coudnt make head or tail what the fuck he is saying throughout(especially in this scene) Seriously dude , part ur lips when u talk and stop mumbling!!

The late great Burt Kwouk.

A lot like modern day governments.
Phenomenal to look back on this 1975 movie and revisit the reasons why it had such an impression on me as an elementary school child- very futuristic.
I was 11 when this was released and got hooked whenever viewing the coming attractions on TV. People could'nt understand my fascination.
@@alonenjersey You and me both.
My Dad (R.I.P.) was somewhat of a Sci-Fi fan, so he kind of understood.
I still say this is a very underated film. Sci-Fi or otherwise.
As a 12-year-old in 1975, this movie was surreal.

Correct.
They had Zoom style meetings back in 1975.
the future is often revealed in the past
Number 7 on my list of all time greatest Sci Fi movies.
Good film, speaks of future unrest
RIP, Jonathan.
At 1:06, Moonpie's eyes are staring straight ahead, but at 1:23, he's looking sideways, up at Jonathan!!!!
When the military and the corporations unite, say goodbye to the world as we know it.
what they term a 'meditation' in its viewing (:
@@icandigitbabe I believe President Eisenhower gave us a warning back in 1959 about such a thing happening.

@@icandigitbabeProbably not. Some people love to make up stuff and say all sorts of vague things.

1:06 Jonathan should've dove on top of him and yelled "WHY????????!!!!!!!" :(
Didn't Moonpie have parents, or a family who could've decided what to do with him????
Seems he did not.
