    Yet the egr have inside, moved by that black actuator made of plastic, a big valve that close when you turn off the engine, cutting the air. It make the engine turn off smoothly otherwise it fells that is about to jump from the hood.
    How it turn off with your new straight pipe?

  • @solutionist1014

    you can cut out a soda can and delete the EGR valve that way.

    Worthwhile to pull the dead weight while you're there and do an EGR cooler delete. I believe it's just re-routing the coolant.

    • @doserdiesel
      @doserdiesel 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      most Ebay kits don't offer the coolant hose. I bet this kit was not more than 50 USD The KIts that do are from the big names and for the hose its 85+ USD plus the race pipe so well over 100.

    this is junk, dont do that ! Dont remove the shut off valve ! Instead put a 2mm steel plate between the exhaust pipe and the EGR Valve module. In old VW/Skoda/Audi (95-2002) you dont get a software error since the EGR is vacuum controlled. The ECU wont notice a difference and you will get a little more power in low RPMs (1000 - 2000).

    I dont understand, I just cleaned my EGR after 17 years and 130,000 miles, yes it was coked up about 10% but still worked perfectly fine. I cleaned it and cant see why it would not last another 17 years and another 130,000 miles. What is the benefit of deleting it ? In the UK it will fail its annual MOT if this is removed as well. I just dont understand the benefits. If there are benefits I would be happy to remove, but what are those benefits ?

    • @N1GhT0FtHeW0Lf
      @N1GhT0FtHeW0Lf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      American here. Deleting the egr will help your engine run a LOT better. Fuel mileage, efficiency, ect ect. Deleting the egr means no longer recycling exhaust, which means it runs much cleaner. Also we don't have standard tests for things like civilized countries do so we don't worry about being penalized for this.

      Anything from 03’ and back doesn’t I don’t believe. 04’ and on does. There is a way easier way do do an “EGR delete” without actually deleting it. All I did was remove the return line and plug it with an 8mm bolt. That way it kept all my vacuum pressure.

      luke kilah still creates the gases, all he did was remove the ASV valve. Removing the cooler is what stops your intake from clogging. A race pipe delete eliminates the valve from getting so clogged it doesn’t operate correctly, has nothing to do with stopping carbon build up in your intake.
