For two seasons now I haven't liked Dany's writing but knowing what we have right now, what the writing direction has taken, I don't blame Daenerys for anything she did. At that point in my life without Ser Jorah and Missandei I would freaking throw sanity out the window too, like fuck the people of King's Landing idc anymore lol
It never fails to amuse me how thousands of people are getting blown up or turned into flaming pyres and the thing that gets a reaction out of people is the horse getting killed.

Maybe if he worked harder to help Dany win the war, way back when she had the most powerful armies and allies and three fullgrown fucking dragons, then she never would've gone mad from losing everything she cared about most. 🤷🏾♂️ I mean really, Varys mostly just stood around doing nothing the last few seasons. Master of Spies for nothing, he should've discovered Cerseis weapons and plans way before she used them on Dany, but he's too worried about standing in the shadows staring at Dany and waiting for her to unravel.

It's Tyrion narc-ing on Varys that's the ridiculous part. Varys is Tyrion's "best friend" according to the writers, his sole companion and confidant for years, his equal, and the person who risked his own life and committed treason to save Tyrion.
After Narc-ing on Varys, Tyrion then *immediately* commits treason himself without a second thought.
Varys and Tyrion really did have the best friendship on the show. I really hate that they killed him.

She killed the Tarleys after giving them the chance to live but they stubirnly refused and lets not forget the Tarleys betrayed and killed their Lord hosue Tyrell cause somehow Cersei a known liar and monster is more preferable to their lords who have always fed and sustained them. She killed Varys cause she warned him what would happen and he was trying to poison her by having the children bring her poisoned food which wisely she did not eat. Tell me where the 'innocents' are?

It wasn't explicitly stated but anyone paying attention would know that. It's the reason Dany wasn't eating; she was worried about that.

She did beg, but he straight up said he had to tell his family. And it's his secret to say anyway. It's who he is, literally. I get that's dangerous in Westeros, but come on. She's asked him to basically throw away who he is. So no, Jon didn't betray her in my opinion. Jon spoke the truth, don't we want our leaders to speak truth? Varys betrayed her by conspiring to overthrow her.
Jon was too stupid to realize this is what Sansa needed to destroy Danerys and he told them like an idiot knowing full well the snake his sister had become.

She started out by asking and begging Jon then said "I've just told you how" to the "we can live together" line which means its implied as a royal command. Then the scene was cut short so until Dany in this episode says the words "Jon Snow betrayed me" then rehashes the word "beg" again makes that previous scene even more confusing. Did she beg or command him. Both are different. If you begged then it wasn't treason. If you commanded him which it blatantly felt like then its certainly treason. So which is it Dan and Dave? Lol
More to that point. Both Tyrion and Jon both came to confront her rather quickly and submitted themselves to her. Not hide in his room like the asshole Varys has always been trying to finish his glass of diet treason cola before his time is up.

Why are so many viewers surprised at Varys' actions? Last episode (ep4) he literally told Tyrion that the secret was no longer a secret, that he intended to spread the word, that he was going to assassinate Dany (He didn't say this out loud but his silent look to Tyrion's question was full of meaning... Hence the attempted poisoned food - a lot of people seemed to miss that also), and that they both should do what they think is right ("no matter the personal cost"). This episode starts out with Varys doing exactly what he said he would... and many viewers act like it came out of nowhere!
if Varys saw all the warning signs that things were going left, know good and well tyrion did. But he ignored them the same way he did with Cersei.
I've been saying for a while now Varys was a snake who didnt show a single shred of proof that he cared about the realm, not once. For one he was from Essos, so to be the guy who cares about the continent and it's inhabitants more than anyone is just plain bullshit. Second all he ever did was say how much he cared about the realm. He never once got his hands dirty. The only decent thing he did was get Tyrion out of King's Landing and even that didn't feel solely in the interest of Tyrion. Season 5 began to bring light to this although the theme had been there a long time. Ned said it best "you grew up with actors. You learned their craft and ya learned it well."
Fuck Varys. He wasnt loyal and by that extreme didnt have credibility. He was a different version of Little Finger nothing more. Apparently he's an actual maniac in the books.

She is his queen. She requested something of him, begged him- that equates to a command, which he disobeyed & not just telling the secret, no! He does it twice by passing on the information, but also made Bran tell them when Dany specifically told him to swear Sam and Bran to secrecy. So not only does he derogate from his queen's request, but he also set up Bran as a patsy. Jon is a pussy.
Varys straight up tried to get Dany to eat poison. That's what that scene with his little bird was about.

I think It's beautifully poetic that a once young naive hopeful girl who wanted to put an end to the tyranny and evil of the world would one day become the very thing she once pledged to destroy.

Foirst of all Varys deserved to die he was trying to poison Dany thats why he sent the little girl t give her food. Second It wasnt mad talk the show writters said that the reason Sansa told Tyrion was because she knew Tyrion could not keep a secret and would spread the information

You ladies did catch that he had the little girl try to poison Dany... right?! No justification for what she did but he tried to put another MAD King on the throne... her brother. Varys hands are not clean, no one's hands are clean... Everyone has some 'gray' in their character, even Jon.
If he hadn't been so busy avoiding 'intimacy' with her he could have 'swiftly' CORRECTED her behind when she talked about 'fear' and needing to be loved and all that other good b/s. Leadership is 'Service', Jon knows this better than anyone and he is the only person she would have accepted 'correction' from because whether he was comfortable with it or not, she sees him as HER man! But this is a TV show, and the writers didn't want it to be that real.

I wonder who Varys sent those earlier ravens to. I know he got a few out. I've always really liked Varys so I was disappointed in his death but he did have it coming. He could have ran away but he stayed there because he genuinely believed that Dany was unfit.
Hmmm maybe the other houses like Dorne and whatnot including the maesters, after she burnt down Kings Landing the people will want him to rule instead (though with her dragon they may stay in the shadows).
Concerning your remarks about Missandei. You're forgetting that Missandei is a pacifist and would never willingly take an action to harm someone.
And she wasn't telling Dany what to do by screaming Dracarys, she was offering a last bit of advice to the queen. 🙃

Easter Egg: Varys dies a hero. He could have hidden from Dany while trying to undermine her claim. Instead, he stayed and tried to poison her while spreading the news that Jon is the rightful heir. In season 1 Varys asks Ned Stark "When you look at me do you see a hero?"
There was nothing heroic about trying to kill Dany based on nothing but his own speculation about what she planned to do.

I don't know why people are so upset about this episode ... the whole series has shown Daenerys teetering between sanity and insanity. Each time she gave in to her mad side, the worse it was, till she lost everything and gave in completely to her mad side. Jaime was always addicted to Cersei ... and as anyone knows who has ever been addicted to a drug, that pull is very hard to resist especially when you finally are faced with every wicked deed (Bran, murdering his cousin, despising everyone for Cersei, etc..) you have done in the past for it. Brienne was his attempt at breaking free, but in the end Cersei's pull was too strong for him. This isn't a fairy tale ... no happy endings ... it's game of thrones. it's not supposed to be roses and sunshine. I would have been upset if it did end happily... that would have been out of character ....

You're okay with the payoff that Jaime's story arc of "not going anywhere" gave us? You're okay that 20 000 golden company guys just vanished in that one explosion? The list goes on... This episode was utter shit.

Tyrion was my favorite from Season 1-4. I hope Bronn comes out of nowhere and just kills Dany. Doesn’t have to be Drogon. Just Dany. I don't want Jon or Arya to do it. I want it to come out of nowhere.
I'm actually OK with what happened. Why? Because I never wanted Dany to win it all. Emilia Clarke is a beautiful girl and all but I never cared for Dany.
I think many of us just didn't have a good feeling with Dany. Now we can gloat because we were right all along! She wasn't the rightful ruler.
Go, Sansa! Level-headed. Forgiving. And I was never a fan of her in the beginning but she's really grown on me the last 8 years.
Whichever of my favorite characters survives in the finale is all that matters to me. I think they rushed it with the writing because HBO is running out of money to maintain this.
There's pretty much nobody left to root for these days though.

There was no reason not to kill Dany and everyone else regardless. The dragon was on the ground. Stationary. There was a wall full of scorpions. Sorry, but you don't pass up an opportunity like that. Cersei had Dany dead to rights and let her go... and the results were horrific for King's Landing. That's not a Cersei move. The show's writing is so unbelievably stupid at this point.
This season feels so rushed. I feel like they are forcing Daenerys into a villain.
They easily could have done 9 full length seasons for game of thrones, taken the extra time to fulfill the story AND fill in the missing character development phases that make it seem so rushed... bad writing from D&D... they are nothing without George Martin guiding them.
Remember when she literally decapitated that kid even when the crowd was screaming for mercy? or when she ordered every single master to be pinned to a cross even tho some of them were innocent and against slavery?

I think GRRM (because this ending is his) did not understand how degenerate the world would become in some decades after he started writing the books. Dany has been murdering people, crucifying people, and burning people alive since the very first season - yet people (fans) madly adore the Dragon Queen.
Varys had it coming though. If you didn't catch it the opening scene with him and the little bird was him trying to poison Dany but she refused to eat.
Had it coming? How so? Varys was trying to save the innocents from the madness he saw growing in Danny with a preempt strike. Was he wrong? Didn't countless innocents die in this episode due to Danny?

if there is something that I liked in this last chapter, before saying it I was never a supporter of the khaleesi, although it is true I chose and I like the house targaryen but it is and it was for the old prince of Dragonstone, I speak of Baelor Targaryen. Well what I was going, if there is something I liked in this chapter and the confirmation that Targaryen blood is cursed, they can never control themselves and what they have, it always happens that if they are righteous they die soon and can not reign such is the case of Aegon V, Rhaegar and Baelor himself ... but if they live long they are targaryen cursed, ruthless ... And see this last chapter daenerys is the living image of his father ... and this will not end Well ... and I'm sure someone is going to kill her in the last chapter ... and I'm more than sure it will be a Stark ... because they've already seen what it's become ...

Dany's motivation was perfectly explained by Tyrion in the finale and it makes 100% sense from a historical standpoint. Absolute conviction in the righteousness of a cause that allowed them to commit tunspeakable atrocities because they were convinced they are fighting for a new world . The "end justifies the means" mentality. As for coming outta nowhere, all you gotta do is go back and see just how ruthless Dany was from the first season. The fans ignored it cause they were too busy shipping for her cresting fantasy romance scenarios

No one has an issue with Dany killing the soldiers or burning cersei... we have issue with her turning drogon on the hundreds upon thousands of innocents AFTER the kings landing soldiers had surrendered... like all of em were surrendering and Dany just freaked the fuck out here and burned everyone, she didnt just stop at sodiers she went outta her way to target civilians..Jon has never targeted civilians. Hell when he was undercover for the Nights Watch with the wildings he couldnt even kill the old northern man to keep his cover
Dany attacked a surrendering city and burned it to the ground. theres no excuse whatsoever for her actions her she just plain lost it... shes waaay worse than Jon, hell shes even worse than her father because she actually managed to go through with his threat of "BURN THEM ALL!!!" cersei baited Dany and won... she wanted to make Dany look like a mad queen and the second coming of her father and won... she broke down at the end but she still managed to do what she intended to. Dany is finished, she cant be the queen after this, everyone would rebel against her.
