Tywin and Arya at Harrenhal was one of the greatest mini-arcs in the show. So tense and yet endearing, character building and informative, and just such brilliant acting from them both.
@@andrewnibbi It was one of those areas where they departed from the books. Arya actually ended up being Roose Bolton's page and barely saw Tywin at all, much less spoke to him. Which is really odd, considering the Bolton marriage that was arranged later. In the show it was with Sansa, but in the books it was supposed to be Arya. If Roose had known he'd had Arya as his page...
@@sauce6746 I don't think there's any reasons for Roose to know Arya or what she looks like. Until they come of age and "go out in the open" to find a partner, noble children usually stay in their castles, the only people who know them and what they look like are people who work at said castle. Even Lysa Arryn, their aunt, didn't know what they looked like. The moment they go live in another castle they stay there to rule, they don't go around visiting other nobles. Even if they're family. Cat and Lysa also hadn't seen each other since they had married, for example. Robert and his family coming to the North to request Ned's help was why you knew something really important was happening: the whole "royal" family going to visit someone else ? That's just weird. So yeah, really no reason for Roose Bolton to know what Arya looks like. He has his own castle and land to -torment- rule over, he hasn't gone to Winterfell in probably decades.
@@Libellulaire Except Arya is the one who has "the Stark look". If Roose had seen Ned or any of *his* (Ned's) siblings around that age, he should have had his suspicions. His wife Bethany would definitely have recognized the Stark look. Brandon Stark was often enough in the Rills.

Found it somewhat surprising that no one mentioned Aiden Gillen who played Littlefinger. I felt like he played that character perfectly, just constantly radiating that conniving and calculating bad guy aura in every scene. Every one on one conversation between him and Varys or him and Tyrion was like watching an Olympic level fencing match instead of swords it was cutting remarks and showing they know what the other person doesn’t.

Like Isaac's were all characters that barely anyone else worked with if at all.
Watching this video all these years after the show's ended still infuriates me with what Benioff and Weiss did with the last two (or even three) seasons. They were so lazy. Because of them GOT went from a global cultural phenomenon to a show so loathed that people couldn't wait to forget about it. Shame on them, these actors deserved better.
I disagree with that last part, the actors shit on the fans when they didn't like the last season, one even accused the fanbase of being extremists for it.
@@InitialPC I think the actors were too involved personally (duh) to realize that fans were mad at the scenario and the lazy writing but not at the crew’s efforts and work. I’m sure everyone on the show (but Benioff and Weiss) worked their ass off to make a good show, but even if you give it your all you can’t make shit taste like caviar.
@fee foo Sigh. You’re missing the point entirely. It’s not that people didn’t *like* the plot, people were pissed because it was rushed and came out of nowhere. A lot of major storylines were just dropped as if they’d never happened, and most of the characters arcs’ were destroyed (Varys, Jaime, Cersei, Daenerys, Jon Snow, Bran, etc). But please, don’t take my word for it : G.R.R Martin says it himself in an interview on the red carpet, stating that Benioff and Weiss had enough material left for 3 more seasons but chose to « have a life » (in his own words) instead.
@@Aspett0 Yeah, the two writers could have passed the job off to someone else when they wanted to move on, but instead they chose to end the show early and destroy it's legacy at the same time. It wouldn't have been so bad if the fans had lost interest or if the studio hadn't offered them more time and money, but no... The fans were there. The money was there. The time was there. All they had to do was walk away... I don't fault any of the actors for the steady decline in the last 2-3 seasons. I 100% blame the writers. The further they got from the books the worse it got.
The genuine connection between the cast really added to the flavour of the show. ... and you can see in season 8 how they were all just tired of D&Ds shit.. like so much talent wasted because of these fartsniffers..
Peter and Lena were buddies off camera and would occasionally stay with each during location filming. They would run lines together which is why their scenes together were always so amazing and intense...even after the writing slipped ..

Charles Dance (Tywin) stated that he really enjoyed working with Maisie Williams. I wonder with whom Jack Gleeson (Joffrey) enjoyed working with?
Tywin and Arya at Harrenhal was one of the greatest mini-arcs in the show. So tense and yet endearing, character building and informative, and just such brilliant acting from them both.
@@andrewnibbi It was one of those areas where they departed from the books. Arya actually ended up being Roose Bolton's page and barely saw Tywin at all, much less spoke to him.
Which is really odd, considering the Bolton marriage that was arranged later. In the show it was with Sansa, but in the books it was supposed to be Arya. If Roose had known he'd had Arya as his page...
@@urthboundmisfitI find it hard to believe Roose wouldn't recognize Arya
@@sauce6746
I don't think there's any reasons for Roose to know Arya or what she looks like.
I really like Jamie’s answer … he really had two roles, which „mixed in the end.
Cersie‘s and Brienne‘s Version of him.
I think that describes him so well. He has his depths, but not all get to see it.
We also got to see some brotherly in him, through Tyrion
If you haven't read the books, they are worth a read just to get into Jaime's head. He grows as a person just as much in the books, if not more so.
I hated that man from the very first episode and by the time the series was over he was on my favorite characters on the show. Its brilliant
I love the hound and Arya together.
Dude... Ian Glen talks about Emilia Clark almost like Jorah talks about Daenerys...
We need to give props to Jack Gleeson. He is one impressive actor to pull off such a Nellie Olsen of a character as Geofrey.
We are all poorer for the massive loss to the acting world for his leaving the art, due to the ill treatment he received online.
We should start a hashtag trend for the apology he is owed. #celebratejackgleeson
Wait, he was abused because of a fictional character he played? Jfc people are rotten
@@metalswifty23 No, he wasn’t. Quite the opposite: Jack Gleeson always talks positively of the fanbase, having said he’s never had a bad experience with fans. I have absolutely no idea why people make these things up.
@@RoyKoopaling Yeah I've since read a brief comment he made on the matter last year. Said he doesn't know why, as you've said, but also doesn't plan on truly correcting people on it if it means people will stay being nice, which is understandable.
He'll be back.
He's just taking some time.
Goddamn you Geofrey!
Its incredible how emotional these actors and actresses get when talking about each other. The chemistry between them is amazing. They say so many words with expressions and the movement of their eyes, and seeing how much they loved working with each other makes me all warm inside. My favorite TV show ever.
0:57 "I didn't have a choice."
It's true. If he didn't say his wife was his favorite acting partner, there would be problems at home...
It's crazy how all these young actors had amazing veterans to work with.
Everytime I see emilia Clarke she seems like a genuinely likable person. Like it's not just how she presents herself, she actually seems like she's awesome for real. And no, I'm not saying that because I think she's the most beautiful actress in Hollywood. I thought that before, now I also think she seems chill
Emilia - Iain is my buh-dee!!!
Iain - *waxes poetic about how wonderful Emilia is*
Soooo....basically Emilia and Iain were method acting where he's in love and she's like, "Yeah, he's cool."
Ser real-life friend-zone.
Life imitating art
Can he talk about me like that 😭
I still LOVE how John Bradley played Samwell. One of my all time favorite characters next to Tywin by Charles Dance and Cercei by Lena Headey.
It's Lena Headey
@@folklorianwitxh Thank you for your remark. I'll change it right away
Lena Heady is such a good natured goofball, but able to emote such venemous malevolence through her character.
She's one of the best.
seeing cersei laugh at varys jokes are rare
Which one Varis making a joke or Cersei laughing?
@@baron6148 "cersei laughing at varys's jokes".... It is very specific.... What part of it don't you understand???
"He's been my pal, he's been my BuDeEe" lmao friend zone vibes to the MAX.
HAHA! YEAH! Almost like there is 30 years difference between them! Insane right?!
Well he is married and has two kids - in that situation I wouldn't mind to be friendzoned by Emilia Clarke - she seems to be fun to hang out with regardless of any romantic layer.
Never stopped Leo, Nicholson, MLK, and your grandparants, age difference means nothing to smashing and or marrying a great man. Free lesson for you all.
@@vandalg282 Didn't say anything about age difference. In fact I disagree with people being weirded out by age difference. As long as it's two consenting adults, it's whatever. My own parents are 16 years apart. My dad got with my mom when he was 46 and she was 30. Don't understand what age has to do with love.
I know we’re joking, but I think it’s respectful of her not to speak too intimately of her closeness with the married man.
Unlike that Kit Harrington guy. Rose Leslie is a married woman and Kit is being totally unprofessional here with his brazen worship.
Iain Glen talks about Emilia Clark the same way Jorah talks about Danaerys.
Spectacular
Damn Sir Davos talking about Shireen made me instantly think of the scene where he confronted Melisandre!😭
Wow davos, thanks for reminding us how amazing Shereen was and how tragic her story is 😭😭😭😭
Despite playing as the queen who hates everybody, Lena sure loves to work with everyone.
Jorah was so intensely friendzoned by Daenerys that Iain Glen was friendzoned by Emilia Clarke so much that she was moved to tears
lol a funny thought, but in reality Ian Glen has never had trouble with the ladies
That's the thing though, especially after the Greyscale. He loved her, knew he couldn't have her, but loved her all the same.
I mean guy was engaged in real life and got married towards the end of the show so I mean come on now 😂
@@bazbuco accurate. speaking for the bi girls, I would take him over her 😉
@@bazbuco Right? I mean look at him, I'm certain he doesn't have any problems with the ladies lol
Liam Cunningham is by far one of my favorite characters on the show, and to see his actual relationship with "The Princess"... Just fantastic. Rory as well... EVERYONE makes me smile! I love this show SO MUCH! Long live GOT!!!
They were all so incredibly talented. The cast, the crew, the set directors. This program was an absolute masterpiece.
"I liked working with Rose, we had a really good chemistry"- YOU DONT SAY KIT? XD
"My favourite actor to work with was Rose Leslie" Well no shit Kit, that's your wife lol. I love Kit but that was a boring answer 😂
The man has to go home too …
they married in 2018, so after the show ended
almost like they asked the question before they were married or something
@@muchanadziko6378 they were already living together at that point anyways
The acting was so perfect. I’ve watched the entire series 7 times. Never gets old to me. Brilliant cast!!
Lena Headey naming everyone from the lannister family is so Cersei like
lain Glen's, voice is so different from Jorah Mourmount
Totally!
I think most people forget that Iain and Emilia had been shooting scenes together since the beginning they grew with each other, it’s all platonic love
Lena (Cersei) is such a joyful and whimsical person, compete opposite of her character😂✨
I wasn’t expecting Iain Glens voice to be so high
Well kit did marry Rose.....
“We really had a great chemistry, I think”
Well I sure do hope so
@@orchidcapitalofitaly9780 yeah that pretty much ensure you say it…or else.
Peter Dinklage also married Charles Dance.
An incredible cast filled with amazing talent. What a special group of people.
These actors were done dirty in the final season, but they are some of the greatest.
I will probably never see a series like game of thrones ever again. Even though season 8 was a mess but those characters made it up for me. They r the best
I LOVE this video. I’ve watched GoT more times than I can count, bloopers, inside episodes, talk show interviews with cast members. But never seen such an awesome tribute to fellow cast members. I think we could sense the mutual admiration and respect. I loved the clips of actors laughing together on set. Hope we’ll see more. Thank you so much for sharing.
I love when Kit said, "We had great chemistry!" Rory and Maisie had such an interesting dynamic on and off screen and Iain and Emelia just have such a close bond. I love seeing the actors/actresses together - it's like a seeing one huge family.
I can rewatch this show over and over and never get bored of it
We need to see more of rose, she's a really good actor imo
It took me the longest time to put her together as the maid in Downtown Abbey. I knew I recognized her but couldn't make the connection.
What part of her didn’t you see? 🤣🥰😂
@@debracurry612 She also plays one of the maids in the new "Death on the Nile" - took me a few solid minutes to figure out where I knew this face from. I mean her without fur clothes and bow and arrow and stuff... :D
She just did a show called Time Traveler's Wife on HBO Max and she's phenomenal in that!
She played a police officer in 'vigil' as well. Think she would have been a good character in something like outlander.
Director: “so your favourite scene partner was Maisie Williams”
Rory Mcain: “Yarp”
All these lovely intergenerational friendships like with Iain and Emelia, or Isaac and Kristian, and Kit "Im in love with my wife" Harrington as well lol
I really like that they all refer to him as Charles Dance … gravitas personified
Game of Thrones!! What an amazing series. Great cast !
I love how all their answers were actually so much in line with their character!
“I had a pretty good chemistry with her.”
Well they are married and have a baby so id say they have excellent chemistry 😂😂😂😂
Can we just talk about for a moment how much different Iain Glen's voice is in real life vs. when he's playing Jorah? Like holy shit he must have had to consciously throw his voice like that through the whole show...takes talent.
This cast was amazing. Its amazing from a fan perspective, that the best character pairs seem to be in line with the actors and actresses's favorite people to work with
Love this from beginning to end. The feels are real
Another reason I like the show so much. The characters were so well done. You GOT to know every body on the show. Like them or hate them. Legendary. Every one on the show should be proud. Put together one of the best shows of all time. Twenty years from now will people still be watching?
What a great show and set of so many great characters. Just awesome. Seen few times all the way thru and may go watch again soon lol. It’s been awhile. You can see the bond all these guys have and it’s really great
One funny comment from Samwell😂
Jon: You just wanna steal her…
Sam: I can’t steal her, she is person not a goat 😂😂😂…he was right tho 😅
Not so much funny, but showing how pure Sam is.
And Kit was very smart he picked his wife. At least he knows that
So Nikolai and Lena just loved the whole cast 😂
Sansa learns from cersei and shophia learns from lena😄
I love how Lena was like "My family. The Lannisters." lol very much Cersei. It is interesting though since so many of them were mains for so long or the whole run but they only worked with each other once or never at all. Like Isaac's were all characters that barely anyone else worked with if at all.
The dynamic between Aria and Sandor was priceless, I loved every minute of it.
Yawn. Get the f over it already
Kit really talking about the dates he went on at work LMAO
God Lena Headey is gorgeous with her natural hair
I'd seen in another interview that Charles Dance said his favorite person to work with was Jack Gleeson.
Why I crying?
I really love that choices. All.
The genuine connection between the cast really added to the flavour of the show.
... and you can see in season 8 how they were all just tired of D&Ds shit.. like so much talent wasted because of these fartsniffers..
Lena was absolutely fabulous as Cersei, perfectly cast, it’s no wonder Sophie loved working with her

Peter and Lena were buddies off camera and would occasionally stay with each during location filming. They would run lines together which is why their scenes together were always so amazing and intense...even after the writing slipped ..
I find it funny how John Bradley’s reasons for why he enjoyed doing scenes with Kit Harrington so much is basically the exact same reasons for why Samwell found such a good friend in John Snow.
