      question: as a defender / supporter i like to immediately follow my lane partner to the right in order to help them stack, because most of the times we just struggle to stop the other team from stacking and it feels like we just waste time. i know the situation may vary, but in general, would you approve or disapprove of this? its really easy to apply pressure to mons trying to defend their base and deny them of exp if theyre trying to farm. this feels a bit obvious but maybe i should prioritize securing the farm around my goal first then helping my partner, but im afraid of them getting themselves killed. plus we can easily get some juicy kos. but is it better to just stay left?

  • @pumpkin7446

    I have SO much I could add but on the topic of experience...
    I cannot count the times I've been pinged for farming when we're behind... while my SEVERELY underleveled team tries to take useless fights that we wouldn't win as 5 anyway. While our ENTIRE map has farm up.
    If you're reading this and you make this mistake, let this be your sign to just FARM and defend goals until Rayquaza. That is your best way to come back.

      You can see all the items your team is using in the pokemon selection menu as well. So there is no excuse to say something like saying i didn't know they needed or wanted stacks. And unfortunetely this does hurt the team for later fights because they didn't let their stackers stack when they easily could of. This has happened to me often as well and it is annoying

  • @pumpkin7446
    @pumpkin7446 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    Combination of mistakes to avoid and general advice that will help you win more games. It's a long read but I guarantee it's worth it.
    1. Do not force early game fights when your outnumbered. If you're being ganked by the enemy and your jungler is in the opposite lane, you can try to secure a bird or two from range, but no experience will be worth it if you both are KO'd and allow huge scores from the enemy.
    2. Use the UI (especially the Map and Ally Health bars) often. If You try to make a play while your allies are out of position or too low on HP, then it is your mistake when it goes wrong. You can also see how many Unite moves your team has ready. There will be a yellow dot when they're available, and a black dot when they need to charge it.
    3. Stop trying to force a tier 1 goal break in the mid-late game while behind. As Cris mentions, this will spawn Indeedeedees on the opponent side and provide them with easier experience. They are also really easy to defend in the mid game because the enemy team needs less time to farm the fewer wild Pokemon they have. You can break those tier 1 goals after winning the Rayquaza fight.
    4. Pay attention to the team comps when starting a team fight. If you're a Cinderace/Zorororoark/other squishy carry, you can't dash in head first then blame your tank for not peeling you after you left them in the dust. On the flip-side, as a tank, don't hide in a bush far behind the fight while your carries front line. You are the engage and vision for the team. Part B: Notice who the enemies have on their team and make sure to focus and KO their squishies first.
    5. Stop trying to defend/fight the opponents' Regileki push away from your goal pad. ESPECIALLY when it is walking to tier 2 or home. So many people will engage to "defend" when Leki is still far away from pad and this puts you at a SEVERE disadvantage. Best case scenario is still a 6v5 with Leki attacking as well. Let it get close to your pad and fight ON the pad. This gives you healing, forces the enemy to be at a higher risk having to move farther away if they need to escape, and gives you the opportunity to escape the fight and return more quickly.
    That's all I can think of at the top of my head. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Because some things can change situationally.

      This is the first time I heard about these terms, what is power staking? Sometimes I'm being stubborn to defend tier 1 goal from 3 mons alone while my teammate busy at exp farming. And what is undercap or overcap? Is there any basic mechanism that I missed? I'm sure my emblem set is +20 sp.atk right now, but I feel squishy defense on my mon, even though I knew attacker and speedster role a bit. People won't bother at helping me defeating foes and keep busy scoring...

    • @alaster1403
      @alaster1403 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@ansharidharmadyaksa3731 overcapping means scoring more than the goal zone limit allows. For example, suppose a goal zone breaks in 20. You can score a 15 and your ally can score a 40. If he scores first, the goal zone breaks and you won't be able to score...on the other hand, if you score, there will still be 5 left and he can score

      @pumpkin7446 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@ansharidharmadyaksa3731 You should also be busy exp farming instead of trying to 1v3 defend. You won't lose the game over a tier 1 goal.

And i always get a player from the other lane that steals or attacks the first bunnebly/spawn as we are walking to our goals at the beginning of the game, stealing some of our early exp. Sometimes the jungler attacks the bunnelby as well so you i always have to deal with having less exp

    Also delaying your own Power spike by not farming or breaking the goal
    There is also the ones that dont consider the enemies abilites and powerspikes, for example engaging on a slowbro or charizard that just got lvl9

      another mistake is taking more than two bunnelby's when your laner has a level 4 power spike. most of the time, it doesnt make a difference. but when your eevee is level 3 with an almost capped out exp bar and a fight erupts, they couldve been an espeon by that point if you had just shared the path farm evenly.

I started jumping their teammates when I saw an opportunity. By the time rayquaza spawned we kinda evened the score. Then as a tyranitar I one by one picked off their zacian, then coomfey and urshifu and then we won the game. That game which was probably my worst yet became the most unbelievable comeback ever. stacking weight helps out a lot on tyranitar you can see the difference cus your offense as well as ancient power shield scales with attack. but what really got us the victory was my teammates not getting tilted. Props to them for sticking throughout that horrible comfey urshifu and zacian dual threat phase of the match till we got to endgame where goodra and me cleaned house.

  • @UltimateRaven
    @UltimateRaven ปีที่แล้ว +7

    I am gonna list what I thought of the mistakes that Cris has mentioned that happened to me.
    For 10, its bound to happen all the time since even if I take something good for anyone, I always see players take Attackers or Speedsters which really hampers their skill and affects the team comp completely. I always had to carry with either Espeon, Mew, Gengar, Tyranitar or Garchomp and sometimes even Blastoise and other defenders like Slowbro.
    For 9, it used to happen before but thankfully with the new updates, wrong emblem build is no longer a problem and wrong held items are also not a problem since they are mostly the optimal items to use.
    For 8, I always try my best to not stack with another stacker but there are times where I was forced to lane with a player who also needs to stack everytime. I hate those players for picking bad Attackers in lane.
    For 7, about not making use of power spikes, I try and with Espeon, I do act a bit more aggressive which actually gave me an advantage. About others tho, I do make some mistakes.
    For 6, that's unfortunately not something that I can control since I wish people knew about it sooner.
    For 5, I always farm so not a problem.
    For 4, that's something I hate since people are overestimating Regieleki even though he is useless but I alway go to the bottom Regi to secure it.
    For 3, scoring early is something I can't control but when the opportunity comes, I would give it a massive over cap.
    For 2, I learned this mistake way before Theia Sky Ruins was even a thing.
    For 1, that's also something that is out of my control because players always do that all the time.
    That's what happened to me and wow, this is a long comment that I wrote.

In fact, I am happy about the previous nerfs because I prefer using Light Screen/Electro Ball more than the other two moves and I am not gonna comment on the Solar Beam nerf because I never used it at all since it's easy to miss. But besides the nerf, Mew is still as strong as before and it's versatility also makes it a soft counter against Zacian.

I definitely support rotating to both objectives, but bottom is more important than top, especially during the first objective spawn. I'm not saying ignore top - I'm saying go bottom first. The way I break down points 10 and 9 are as such for why they occur.
    1. Competitive and Casual playstyles- Not everyone is going to play a sweaty playstyle. Most probably just want to play for fun. Why play the Pokemon who are most likely going to win when you don't even like those Pokemon? Whenever draft does make soloq, I don't expect the optimal first picks than what those players enjoy to play.
    2. Not knowing the meta- Not everyone goes online to study what is the proper meta for the game or has prior moba experience to know for yourself. Unfortunately, I think this one comes down to the Unite in-game information being an issue. I believe it recommends Pokemon who would be a central option be played in lane. Imagine not knowing that jungle exists for your mon when the game says bot lane when you mark a lane.
    3. We need more Pokemon- This one is for players such as myself. I'd love to play more options, but I just don't want to play Pokemon that I don't care for. Thankfully after umbreon, I'll have every role filled out, but the options are still limited. I'd imagine that goes for other players in a similar boat. And it sucks for when one of your mons aren't that strong in the current meta like Tsareena.
    4. Throwing for content- I'd say this one is self-explanatory. Sometimes content creators will do unorthadox methods just for creating a video. Doesn't happen much since it isn't like you will run into these players in each of your games. There's an extremely small chance this even occurs. But is worth mentioning since it can occur. Like when cris has made a video for some of the janky buiilds he's seen on his teammates, only 9 players got to be graced by that match. There's a lot more players in unite than 9 other players besides cris, hence why it most likely won't occur for most players.
    5. Hidden Meta- Perhaps this is the opposite of a mistake, but looks like a mistake to other players. Something like potion pursuit absol you wouldn't think being an option till it got tournament results. Unfortunately, there really isn't a way to know these unique strats till it goes on the big screen and becomes well known.
    I'd say point the two points aren't the end of the world, though 9 would be argued to be a terrible mistake in comparison to 10.

    10 - bad team formation

    8 - dont have 2 stackers in a lane (too aggressive)

    6 - not over scoring a goal (want to score as many extra points in a goal as possible)
    5 - not farming experience (experience = better stats = winning)
    4 - breaking goal too early (spawns indeedee for opponent causing them to gain more exp)

    About #3:
    I think Regieleki is relatively much stronger in this map. The bot regi is no Drednaw. Not only do you gain less 80 points (only the last hit champion get the aeos energy instead of used to be all of them), you also lost 50% of original experience and all shields compared to Dred, in exchange for certain buffs (which is okay I guess, but I'd wished they be better). Meanwhile Eleki is also significantly stronger than Rotom too.
    Taking Eleki is always better than Bot Regi, but I definitely can understand the sentiment of not hyper aggressive to force push Eleki, just take the Eleki and leave it to distract ur enemies.
    Edit: maybe the goal defenseless time should be at least 40 seconds as a buff to eleki (assuming max hp going in)

    i dont think the first one matters at lower elos, i rather have bad players play their mains which than pick meta pokemon the dont know hor to use. the same reason you can get away with weak laners because people dont punish you and try to last hit all of your stuff. i'd say from ultra team comps matter more, player are able to play different pokemon and you get punished when you have weak teams. so if you are in low elo and you main a hyper carry, dont just pick a slow bro or blissey because it fits better.

      Bud it is SO piss easy to get to Ultr/Masters. You can get to both with a negative winrate.
      Leaning early to play a defender/support to help your teams' comp will not stop you from climbing unless you're playing half asleep with three toes on the controller.

    The most important part about defending a Regie at 2 minutes. If you are a carry. You can probably kill it. But if you're some defender, support, or all-rounder. If no other teammates are killing the Regie at your 2nd goal. Just go to Rayquaza. You're going to take too long. The carry is supposed to be protected by you anyways. So just group up.

    My teammate loves picking inteleon and not even stealing drednaw or rotom and i know we’re kinda losing the match I kept pressing surrender because our team has massive skill issue and not even doing anything like our whole team is bottom lane and just me at upper lane meanwhile they can’t even steal drednaw and I’m that Eldegoss I need to do all the things the leftovers held item team needs to do and I kept getting ganged by everything I need to even try to attack the drednaw and my team can’t move and I knew already my team needs to be tha team that backcapped to score not do the zapdos 💀💀💀
