    Pro Tip: If you're jungle, call out which lane you're about to gank before heading to that lane. If you have competent players they'll lean back to let the enemy push so you can do a proper 3v2 gank.

    I've been playing for 10 days now and I'm Veteran 3. Here are some things I learnt playing:
    -If you are leading and it comes to zapdos don't even fight him because you are risking losing it for nothing. People get greedy and want to absolutely destroy their enemies and that loses you games.
    -If you are playing support,in the early game don't last hit farm as for other role like attacker it's more crucial to get first to level 5.
    -Using "gather here" or "heading to top lane" is very important as your team knows how to cordinate better.
    -After finishing you Drednaw or Rotom,(if possible) go to the other lane and support killing other guy.
    -If you are jungler learn the best route that works for you and know when will buffs spawn again so you can teleport back to the base and kill them asap. If your farm is sitting there forever,me from other lane will take it as you don't take the advantage that you have.
    -After killing zapdos and scoring don't get greedy and just teleport to the base, camp at the jump pad,so you have full review where enemies are. When you see them scoring just jump on them as it cancels the scoring animation.(unless they have score shield)
    -Always look at the minimap and be aware
    -Drednaw is better early game and Rotom endgame where scoring is more important. XP does not matter

    Something very important that I feel stays implicit too often (despite you showing it here several times) is that everyone should really train themselves to keep checking the minimap. Example:
    The other day I was playing a game with good team mates who really all seemed to know what they were doing. It was solo q but everyone played strategically, we won the objectives, took momentum in team fights and steered away from unnecessary exchanges. By Zap our lead in points and xp was rather big. But when Zap started, all 5 enemies were on it, versus only me and one team mate. Three other members of my team were farming for a score on different places of the map. The opponent got zap and won by just a margin, despite all the pinging the game would allow in the span of 15 seconds. These players showed real insight in the game and were all able to work as a team, so I can only conclude that they just assumed they were the only one who had peeled away. With 4v5 our xp lead was big enough to defend Zap for sure, but none of them seemed to even realize it was a 2v5.
    Keep an eye out for your team mates, your opponents, objectives, xp hotspots and potential team fights, all on that minimap, for all of the game!

      Dred and coordinated score pushes can do that, In the highest Master Rank play, you can see the winner before the 5 Minute mark due to how aggressively a single 3v2 score push changes levels, especially if you can farm the opponent's side of the map in the 10 or so seconds after the push. As far as dred goes, I have had way too many matches where dred is contested for minutes by my team while the enemy carry mons wander the map and get over-leveled just to come back and stomp.

    I tend to sneak a score in if I know my team is defending or around the place, so I can scare the team to try and stop me, but also that 100 points will get me to level 15 for a quick team wipe since I know the layout enough to get there before Zap is taken out.

    Great video. I'd like to add, "pay attention to where your teammates tell you they are going at the start." I'm constantly in games where people will all bank up/down and I'll be covering a goal alone unable to feed or defend well cause I can't survive the opposing attacks.
    Oh and ...stop constantly trying to forfeit if it's clear your team isn't going to forfiet.

    Mistake #6: Wasting your Unite move before Zapdos. You should always have your Unite move ready at the most important objective of the game: Zapdos. Unless you can get a teamwipe with your Unite move shortly before Zapdos, always save it for Zapdos/the Zapdos fight. (A general rule of thumb I have is when the timer hits 3:00 and I have my Unite move ready, I will save it for Zapdos no matter what. Otherwise I will farm for it before Zapdos spawns.) The team with the most Unite moves ready at Zapdos has the greatest advantage after all. (Not to talk about Broken Barrier...) I swear most people will just burn their Unite shortly before Zapdos and then not have it for the Zapdos fight, costing them the teamfight/the game.

I had this one game where everyone on our team was duking it out against the entire enemy team at Zapdos...except for that one Zeraora on our team who decided to sneak a 100 in top lane. We lost Zapdos and the game, and the Zeraora player kicked me from the party because of my lower score (we were in a three-stack premade party). Probably thought it was a clever thing to do.

    Great video as usual, Jake. People need to learn that it's absolutely fine to back away from Zapdos and regroup, or delay 4v5 because zapdos is basically a player mon in terms of damage. Could I get some tips on a different matter though? How do you catch up if you play a late power spiker, like Cinder or Greninja, and an early spiker like Zera steals your jungle?

    With the current buff on rotom, some people prioritize rotom over dreadnaw and keep on pushing the top lane early on, while some still prefer dreadnaw. It's hard to sync and communicate sometimes when there's two ideology in one team.

    • @simoncharlton3426
      @simoncharlton3426 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally i still prefer going dred first, since it allows for immediate pressure transference towards the topside to secure rotom and escort, whereas going rotom first requires you to force onto the goals to score, after which you are usually forced to back or farm up more points. It just feels better to take the advantage of dred toward rotom 😄

    The one I make less now but had to train out is the chasing down the low health mon that is getting away, sometimes it causes me a KO like it did you against that greninja... other times it just means I got way out of position turning what could have been a pseudo KO ( the enemy is out of the team fight cause they have to heal) into a trade where we were just both out of the fight. Working on opening up that tunnel vision, can I actually chase and win? how long will that take? Would it be better to not get this KO and just be in a team fight somewhere else?

    About hiding - lately I've been playing with some people in a team and in a few games, instead of all of us defending goals when we were ahead just before zapdos spawn, we would make sure we're on the healthy side, have our unites, and then hide in the bushes around zapdos, waiting for the enemy team to gather up and then dispose of them before going for zapdos. It worked well a few times but there were also cases where enemy team just destroyed us since they were way better than us

  • @rudrabasu8112
    @rudrabasu8112 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sometimes I stay in team fights too much. Yes, it helps in early game. But without any decent farm the levels get very low. This especially happens with Pikachu as his early team fight potential is enormous with his electroweb. Also pushing too early and not focusing on objectives like Rotom and Drednaw hinders the team more. Though the last problem changes from team to team. Some team play it methodical and others just want stomping and gets stomped instead.

    Once, I picked talon, called jungle, and some asshat changed from snorlax to zeraora just to call jungle instead. So I did my best and tried communicating that I’d taken the jungle already by using the comm thingie, and then… something magical happened… the zeraora of course didn’t change lane, but the entire rest of the team decided to troll him and called jungle, too. The venusaur, the slowbro, the eldegoss… it was a thing of beauty. And so everyone went jungle for the first few seconds of the match, and we all learned an important lesson about teamwork when we were forced to scramble to lanes after no one had been there for what fet like years.
    Anyways, true story!

I don't really play any mon that needs to jungle much anymore, but back when I did and this happened, I'd just give it up immediately because I knew at least I would be able to make lane work the more time I had.
