Nice video! Great Gamo break barrel. I have the version 2 B.C. Try some of the Gamo Redfire pellets. should be able to find them at Wally or other big box stores.
I think pellet makers are doing the same thing fishing lures makers have been doing for 50 years. Designing lures to catch the eye of the fisherman more than the fish. What I am saying is that I don't think pellet shape matters much at all. What matters is accuracy in your rifle. Domed pellets have proven to be most consistently accurate. The next thing that matters is penetration. Most airguns don't have enough velocity to get any meaningful expansion out of most pellets. So penetration is what does the killing. You would think that a pointed pellet or a heavier pellet would penetrate deeper but that's not always so. I like to test pellets by shooting them into old college textbooks and counting the pages of penetration and comparing pellets by shooting them side by side into the same book. Thanks for the video
Yes i agree, domed pellets definitely prove more accurate in all my air guns and flat nose usually do well too. Some domed pellets are better than others. It was my first real .22 cal airgun , so I didnt have any domed to test then. A good place I like to read about air gun pellets is Hard Air Magazine. They have lots of reviews in different pellets give you the scientific data on the specs of them. Finding the right pellet for your rifle that is the most accurate is definitely the most effective at hunting regardless of design and weight
My Gamo Wildcat loves the Gamo magnums and the Gamo master points.
