This scanner feels really cheap for the price it cost me and the graphics are pretty bad but as far as functionality it works great and I was able to clear an emissions error code for inspection without even having to move the car, with my old obd2 scanner I had to go on the highway at 50mph stable and run for a while in order to clear the emissions code P0456 but with this scanner I didn't have to drive anywhere and cleared the code right off.
I mean it doesn't feel bad. If you're using this for just personal vehicles here and there it's more than enough. If you're a shop that needs something rugged a $250 scanner isn't for you either way. This isn't a pro tool.
Just received the Autel AL619 in the mail from Walmart (10/18/17). SRS light was on: 2004 Mercedes 320 CLK convertable. Did not download or update the AL619 on the computer (use it as is straight out the box). Plugged the AL619 into the car and entered car info, then hit READ CODE... B1075 CAN Communication Faulty appeared. Then hit ERASE CODE, turned off car for 10 sec and started it. MRS light was OFF. I guess I got the only one that works.
@U Know it Is Here The model that does transmission codes is AL629 or ML629. not sure specifically for the Mercedes though but has the transmission capability
Do you know if this will read automatic transmission temperatures on Toyotas? I think it has an ECT feature but I think that is engine coolant temperature
I bought an Autel AL 519 specifically to turn off the light at the SRS and it doesn't have this option in the settings! I have a passat b7 from 2014, if I buy one like yours.. do you think I can turn off the SRS light? Thank you in advance!
Not sure because the SRS and Airbag stuff is a different mode then just generic OBD for stuff like a check engine light. You would need to check the autel specs to see what makes/models it works with for stuff like SRS and Airbag.
I was hoping you had mentioned how good it is, since I have just purchased one of their brand's, and have not received it yet, and was wondering how the smaller units worked, and if this one would be fine for me.
I mean its hard to say how it will work for you. In terms of quality and performance its great. If you need something for more advanced work i would go a little higher up but for reading my OBDII codes and airbag/srs codes this one is just fine for basic DIY work

I don’t think the SD card holds anything other than if you save scans to it. Mine doesn’t need the SD card to boot I don’t think

Can you do a video diagnosing HVAC on Honda Odysey 2012?
Pretty sure it doesn't do HVAC and I don't have a Honda Odysey
I assume you have to plug this into a computer before use to download updates. Can this be done on a Mac computer or does it have to be windows?

Ml is only for bmw, skoda and another brand that i dont remember. Not even all european cars. Al is the line that scans all vehicles
will this work on a dodge durango 1998?. bec my abs light and break light is on.
It should work for regular OBD II not sure if it will do ABS and brakes on something that old.

Yes it supports live data and has an option to read from Fords though I don't know how much you will get since I don't have a Ford
It also supports generic OBDII so you will get your general codes and data that way that are not manufacturer specific
