    I can only speak as I find . Got 2 pair , 1 Pair go Monk double strap and one pair of City 2 . They cost me around 1100 pound a pair. They are a very nice shoe. Obviously very well made but what pleases me the most is the fit comfort and support of the shoes. Are they worth the price ? That is for you to decide . All I can say is that they look and feel great

    In what way are these shoes better than Loakes? M.

    • @phongmoua1437
      @phongmoua1437 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Rover Coupe the biggest difference is the leather quality and the finishing details. It is definitely a decreasing margin of return, but it really depends on what you value. For people who really enjoy the little details it may be worth it but for someone who mainly focus on shoes from a utilitarian perspective it may not be. The leather is superior as the John Lobb company is owned by the Hermès group and has access to the best leathers in the world. John Lobb’s shoes also has features such as an invisible channel, a more defined last, as well as more structure an integral stiffeners to give the best support a shoe can give. A pair of Loakes are by no means a bad shoe, it just simply depends on whether or not those finishing touches are really something you value.

    • @JohnnyKass17
      @JohnnyKass17 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because of high tariffs for imported goods into Japan. The tariffs seem to significantly increase pricing. You’re better off either buying Japanese made shoes or traveling to England and buying the shoes there. The same applies to American made shoes.

    I only buy these shoes at sale. Wouldn’t spend more than 800 to 1,000 Euro for them (retail price in Germany 1,200 to 1,600 Euro about). The luxury line with shoe trees included is better.
    These shoes are good, but too expensive.
    I have five pairs of them
    1. Westminster in brown burgundy
    2. Winchester in burgundy
    3. Chapel in dark brown
    4. Philipp 2 in chestnut double monk
    5. Philipp 2 in black oxford
    Heinrich Dinkelacker is better, I prefer shell cordovan. From about 700 to 900 Euro.
    Especially the leather inside is much better, but the shoes are less elegant.
    Made like bespoke shoes in Budapest. Vass from Budapest is similar, a bit more elegant.
    You get Dinkelacker in local German shops, but Vass only in one shop in Baden-Württemberg (I live in Berlin), it’s easier to buy them when traveling to Budapest. I paid about 650 Euro there, shoe tree included. Shell cordovan. Boxcalf about 200 Euro cheaper.
