  • This John Lobb Resole was not as simple as normal. The previews cobbler or cobblers that worked on these John Lobbs repaired them in some very odd ways including not replacing the cork filling very well, not stitching the goodyear welted soles and just so much more NO shoe repairs.

About sole savers. How do you remove them once you wore a whole through them? Like what works best. I put clear ones on a couple of my leather sole boots..

I've emailed numerous times, about some shoes I got returned to me with no work performed. I would just love to get my money back at this point. Point. Since no one seems to respond to emails at your facility. I'm trying all avenues to contact. I've tried calling and no one picks the phone up.

Hey Allen, I've got a shoe question for you. I've seen many leather-soled shoes with the Italian phrase "Vero Cuoio" (meaning "real leather") on the outsole. Some of these shoes are made in Italy and some in other countries. I've been trying to figure out if "Vero Cuoio" on an outsole specifically means Italian leather, even when the shoe is made outside of Italy, but I've gotten conflicting answers. When I contacted UNIC (the Italian tanners' association), they said "Vero Cuoio" guarantees that at least the wet finishing of the sole leather was done in Italy, regardless of where the shoe was made. However, when I contacted one of the Cuoio di Toscana sole leather tanneries they said that only the phrase "Vero Cuoio Italiano" (i.e. "real Italian leather") or the Cuoio di Toscana logo guarantees the Italian origin of the sole leather. Do you know anything about "Vero Cuoio" that would clear some of the confusion for me?
