The results that I've gotten from Nira - are incredible. I use it daily, it's easy. I took clear before and after photographs to compare. It's been 10 months - my face has dramatically changed. It is much plumper and youthful. Wow. Your interview was phenomenal. TY
That’s true but the scientists design their trials or can do to factor in these bias’ it’s not all observational. I do get what you are saying however. We need more preventative health in our public services and culture
Yes to this! I have read the studies which is why I do 2x in my gym heat sauna and 2x with my infared sauna blanket. All these pro-health activities, skin care and clean eating in my life are very high maintenance but worth it (I hope :).
Also want to add that saunas are believed to be detoxing. If you look at the studies - exercise sweat has different elements than sauna sweat indicating that our bodies releases potential toxins with sauna use.
@@Tonnnamara In Australia there is a brand called Found Space, they are one of the top 3 brands here, Clearlight, Sunlighten and Found Space, I have one of their original saunas.
New to your channel and love the content. Can you do a review on the Newa plus rf at home device. It looks good and apparently doesn’t cause fat loss. Would be interested to hear your thoughts
I avoid RF in general these days I’m afraid. It’s mainly out of respect for the many viewers I’ve heard from who have experienced problems with energy-based treatments. That said, the Newa is unlikely to cause damage so I don’t want to put folks off. It’s just not one I can get behind.
Hi Clare, did you ever try products with Adiflyne peptide from lipotec, it quite old but not so popular in products, it should help with fat grow stimulation
Yes, I've seen them too. Not sure how well they work but if I end up buying a home sauna I'll definitely take a closer look and do an episode on what I found when looking at the different options.
You have beautiful skin and it always looks so thick and bouncy! Dare I ask how old you are because I can't imagine you need all this. LOVE the content regardless.
RF does heat the skin so should also cause the release of heat shock proteins. It targets deeper layers so the safety profile is a little less solid (and often depends on the expertise of the practitioner) and I've had quite a bit of negative feedback over the years from viewers - along with some very positive feedback. It's one of those that I don't personally do, but feel the right practitioner can use it to deliver good results.
I tried hot yoga couldn't stand it was far too uncomfortable and the thought of sweaty people in front, behind and to the side of me was too much I left the room after someone farted
Weirdly, i read a news piece last week rhat said a dermatologist said that hot water is the WORST for your skin 💯 So maybe it is just relevant, + what works for your skin? 🤔🏴🇬🇧
I can't wait for Ellacor to become available in Europe. I have binged all the TH-cam videos about it. It seems incredibly promising. I don't know why the European launch is taking so long. 🤔 Is that something you could look into? 🙂🙏
Im considering getting a sauna blanket, the same one you have! Maybe a dumb question, does l it help the skin your face if your face isn't in the blanket and being heated directly?
It's a good question and while I don't think it's been studied specifically, because you heat up from head to toe using the blanket, increasing blood flow to your skin around your body, your face should benefit from the improved circulation and heat shock protein release. It's very hard to say whether it would be as impactful as sitting in a full sauna but, then again, full saunas can have a drying effect on your face which is not a problem with the blanket. The blanket takes a while to heat up so you do have to lie in it for longer than you sit in the sauna.
Hi Jennifer. I haven't tried it personally and the conversations I've had with aesthetic doctors and plastic surgeons paint a mixed picture. Did you see my interview with The Tweakments Guide author, Alice Hart-Davis? We discuss biostimulators and the pros and cons which you might find helpful th-cam.com/video/MZLNlE4oNMs/w-d-xo.html Ultimately, it so often comes down to the medical practitioner who is delivering the treatment so you want to find someone who is highly experienced in doing Sculptra treatments.
I saw a two-person traditional sauna for £2k (still a lot of money!) made by Atlantic Sauna that I thought looked like a good-quality option. My decision to make is whether I stop gym membership and buy some barbells and a sauna as a longer-term investment for home fitness or just keep going with the gym.
I’ve been using both the Nira Pro and Precision for about 6 weeks now and I can already notice a difference. My eyelids aren’t as droopy when I get up in the morning and there is a spot below my eyebrow that I have previously had zapped a few times with liquid nitrogen and I was on the cusp of getting it zapped again but it’s now disappearing on its own since I started using Nira. I can’t wait to see what the results will be a few months down the road!!
@@Emimadd I'm not sure what you mean, or is it that you think I'm somehow affiliated with Nira? I'm not and I couldn't even buy the product in Canada and instead had it delivered to my friend in the US who then brought it to me when she came for a visit
They can dry skin like I mention in the video, but I use a facial oil to protect my face before going in. I'm in my fifties and having used saunas regularly for a year now I think it's made a clear positive difference to my skin largely through boosting circulation and then those all-important heat shock proteins too. There a few women at my gym who swear by the sauna for their skin too though I appreciate it might not be for everyone.
Do you see a substantial difference in using the Sauna blanket at home? For my income bracket, that is a huge investment. I want to make sure it is ultimately worth it before I invest. I work out 4-5 times weekly, watch my nutrition, and care for my skin.
Personally, I enjoy the traditional sauna at the gym most but an infrared sauna will cause you to sweat (it just takes longer to get to that point). You have the inconvenience of having to store and then roll out the blanket each time to consider, but I do feel the health benefits of heat therapy are by now well established so I think an infrared blanket is a sound choice. I notice the sauna tents as well, but haven't tried one.
Yes, this could be an issue with saunas if you're predisposed to melasma. Nira say their clinical trial showed the device didn't worsen pigmentation but some users have reported that they think it did.

This is great to hear - thanks for letting us know!
i can't help but think that folks who can afford to go into a sauna so frequently have higher paying jobs, more free time, and likely live healthier
Not in Finland since most Finns have access to saunas, but definitely elsewhere in the world, yes. (Most Finnish homes have home saunas).
Yes, it’s really part of the culture there
If you live in Florida, you just need to go outside during the day most of the year😅
Some gyms have saunas.

I absolutely love steam rooms over saunas. So good to hear the benefits should apply to them as well.

It is common in Sweden as well, my husband is building one in our home right now 🎉
Maybe you can look into cold water on skin + body? Thereby giving the polar opposite effects the benefit of doubt?🤔🏴🇬🇧
I’ll see if I can find an expert to discuss because I can’t face trying cold shock therapy 😂

Doesn't Radio Frequency achieving the same results by heating the medium dermis layer?
It certainly produces results.

Is it true that sauna worsens pigmentation in skin of colour ? Iam a black woman would appreciate your insight on this .
Hi. It's mainly anecdotal evidence for this, and the issue seems to relate more to aggravating existing hyperpigmentation.
Im thinking of getting sculpta into my face cheek area, would you recommend it at all Claire?
Hi Jennifer. I haven't tried it personally and the conversations I've had with aesthetic doctors and plastic surgeons paint a mixed picture. Whoops-posted in wrong place. I’ve heard many many times that heat to the face worsens hyperpigmentation. Your thoughts?
That can depend on several factors, such as for example your Fitzpatrick scale. Hence why some lasers can't be used by Fitzpatrick 4, 5 and 6.
I think if you’re particularly prone to hyperpigmentation then heat can increase the activity of melanocytes potentially making it worse.
Can u use The Pro around mouth and eyes?
Yes, it's FDA cleared for the treatment of wrinkles around the eyes and can be used around the mouth too.
Curious why you spot treated with this tool as opposed to the full face?
Good question. I’m not a patient person so treating my full face and neck would take me too long. I tend to just cover my priority areas.
What brand(s) of home sauna are you considering?
I saw a two-person traditional sauna for £2k (still a lot of money!) made by Atlantic Sauna that I thought looked like a good-quality option. My decision to make is whether I stop gym membership and buy some barbells and a sauna as a longer-term investment for home fitness or just keep going with the gym.
What about red light therapy masks?
Red light masks help energize cells but they're not emitting heat so it's a different mechanism.
