When I had breast cancer 15 years ago , I would constantly say I am not my cancer , and then when my hair fell out I said I am not my hair ❤ 15 years later at 65 I have been to 18 countries with a backpack 🎒🎒🎒 good for you, 🙏🙏
I was diagnosed with Hashimoto and I asked the doctor if I can do something to feel better and she just said it’s nothing you can do just wait until the Thyrod stop working and you’re going to be on medicine for the rest of your life. My TSH was 15 my antibodies were super high so immediately I start looking for natural approach and start the AIP diet. Just months later, my TSH went down to five and my antibodies were down . Three months later, I was in remission (obviously going to sleep at 9:00 PM. It will help and start using the.glasses that canceled the blue light it will help you to have a nice relaxing sleep) Get an infrared blanket and use it every week ,,walk barefoot on the grass or on the beach, do not watch the news, deep, breathing, exercise and the most important thing to take care of your spirituality and connect with God every day in prayer.
Many doctors are black magicians who have cursed many people. They pronounce deadly curses... and people die because they get scared and believe they can't do anything and their diagnosis is fatal. They remain paralyzed and just wait in resignation for death, intoxicated by the drugs they are served.
I don't have any medical conditions, and my husband and I have made the decision that we will no longer retain doctors in our lives. They do not understand how to be healthy, and cannot offer me more knowledge than I can find for myself. Their training does not address anything related to health, it teaches diagnoses and the corresponding medications. In addition, it takes about 20 years for new medical research to integrated into medical education. Unless I need emergency care (which our medical establishment is great at), I am done.
Same. Walked away from over a dozen "recommended" surgeries. The medical system is basically a healthscar industry dependant upon ignorance, drug dealer-doctors & butchers. Granted, there are some ltd things they're useful for...seizures, some acute & emergency stuff. Everything else they just make worse.
We won't have any medical insurance unless you're ultra wealthy anyhow. That will all be gone next year, I wonder how they'll deal with the mass death that will ensue. Better buy cemetery plots NOW or we won't be able to afford them.
I have almost zero faith in doctors. My husband was diagnosed with Parkinsons and all we were told to do is to put him on medication and wait for him to get worse and worse because it was "incurable". We went home, did a lot of research and found out that diet, exercises and reduction of stress play major role. So we implemented those without taking medication. We added accupuncture and osteopathy and some herbs and natural supplements and he got better. We went back to the neurologist and she basically threw us out of the office because there was "no scientific evidence that those things work". She did not want to know anything we did, just told us we cannot work together because we have such different approaches. The worst thing was that at some point she got quite stressed and got tremor. It looked very familiar but she did not even acknowledge it. So, she could have also got better learning from our experience, but she chose illness instead...
We cured my husband's Multiple Sclerosis the same way. That was 10 years ago.....we went on a low fat vegan and most importantly HIGH FRUiT diet for these 10 years. That diet put his MS into total remission....almost immediately....within weeks ..if not days. That diet cured my HANDFUL of Autoimmune diseases (Sjoegren, Hashimoto, Raynaud, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Depression, Cronic Fatigue....) and THAT DIET brought enormous benefit to the SCHIZOPHRENIA that my mother was suffering from. FOOD is the answer to everything. LIVING FOODS are the best foods on the planet for human health. The worst offenders are ANIMAL FOODS, PLANT OILS, ALL GRAINS. After we got rid of all these things......without exception......our health soared. As soon as we fall of the wagon......the symptoms come back. Read Dr. Peter Osborne's book NO GRAIN NO PAIN and get rid of the worst offenders in human diet.....ALL GRAINS
Yes......I have thought that before as well.......our doctors are ignorant and arrogant.....but they are slaves to this criminal system......to the point that they themselves are sick.......and we get well.....because we do not hesitate to search for the truth.....day and night if necessary. I once read that the worst outcome in case of a cancer diagnosis is for those people that have a medical doctor in their family. They are completely stuck in dogma, trusting the brother/father/uncle even more than we trust our doctor's......and they will NEVER be able to see the deception and search for alternative medicine.
I’m an RN. My husband is a GP. Very surprised a doctor would speak to a patient like this who has just been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus - particularly a patient so young. “There’s nothing you can do and its all downhill kind of thing” Very surprised. What a shock to be told that in the prime of your life. There is always something you can do and always the hope that knowledge will expand and offer more insight into these conditions. Autoimmune conditions are often a wake up call that our lives need to change and require a healing journey.
Hi, I am a 49y.o. woman, was diagnosed with RA and Lupus at age 23. 2 knee raplacements at age 30. Doctors are monsters. No child on my own, 4 insemination, 4 IVF, something wrong with my eggs, never told what is the problem. 13 years ago me and my husband adopted 3 children, they are 21, 17, and 15 now.. ☺️
Sorry to say there are doctors who really burnt out or limited in knowledge on other health issues. I know more about my body than strangers with some medical training. Personal story had to pay private for total hysterectomy & consultants face looked a bit shocked when I woke up, so I just said “It was a mess wasn’t it?” She said “Yes” & nodded. You have to advocate for yourself because I was left to rot by nhs & even offered antidepressants for no mental health problems. Had a polyp removed by nhs because precancerous risk but multiple fibroids & cysts on ovaries with 7.5 month pregnant size of womb. Lost a stone in weight instantly from operation & have estrogel, testosterone gel & progesterone which is anti inflammatory. Fibre gut healthy kefir, fish & vegetarian diet & weightlifting. Feel so healthy now.
I'm in Brighton, UK and here the doctors and receptionists speak to you in a very inhumane way. I'm wondering if it would be for the best to go private?
Both of my parents are 92, healthy and cognizant.. they didn’t follow any protocols, just balanced.. moving still, walking , cleaning they home, shopping.
@@nutech1810 yes, before 1975, most food was whole food. The sugar lobby and highly processed foods has causing at least 30 different diseases. Sugar and HFCS is poison and in a few decades of eating to much, will shorten the life span of the human body. Avoid it as much as possible.
Mine too. Healthy English diet. Always puddings, which i don’t support but they have done alright. Don’t eat between meals. One coffee two teas one herbsl tea a day.
I was diagnosed with Lupus in 1999 & was sick for many years. In 2018, I found. Dr. Bruce Lipton’s book “The Biology of Belief”. I learned that so much of our ill health is programmed by our inner talk. I went on a huge spiritual journey & quit saying that I had lupus. I started telling people that I was healthier than I had ever been & I felt great & so on. I started meditating every day & also walking. About one year into my journey, I was also told my lupus was gone. Not just in remission, but gone. Fast forward 5 years, I am 60 years old & have literally never felt better. I really enjoyed this video. Thank you!
I agree with you!! It is so much related to what we think and talk to about our bodies! I think I'm just believing I'm getting in pain and it will continue but you're right I need to stop thinking that way
This video is a treasure of knowledge. I am so grateful to have discovered this. I was fighting leaky gut since over 50 years, getting slowly the knowledge how to handle this alone. I am not going to the doctor anymore because I noticed that school medicine never helped but made it worse on the long. I improved my own condition similar to Leslie by Yoga, Diet without gluten and sugar, using minerals and vitamines after having 15 years of heavy cortisone therapy against allergies and rhumatic conditions in my youth provoked by wrong nutrition and emotional issues. I am 72 and I feel better than ever before and I even overcame corona virusses. I can only underline what is said here. Thank you so much for sharing all these experiences.
Congratulations on improving your health and for taking the steps to heal yourself through diet and lifestyle changes. There is definitely a growing group of us who have proven that these illnesses can be put into long term remission.
What kind of doctor says "no, I don't want to know what you did to literally eliminate these debilitating illnesses you were diagnosed with"? Blows my mind. It makes me so grateful for my doctors.
It was a real stunner for me, too, but made me realise that doctors are under incredible time pressure and don't want to necessarily get drawn into a potentially longwinded conversation with a patient. Now, a century ago when every village had a medical doctor, the doctor would have had the time to get to know the patient and if they had managed to achieve remission, they would have been keen to find out - partly because the rest of the village would also know and want to know his opinion. Today, the medical system is a conveyor belt of patients who, in some countries such as the UK, are seen once every year or so (doctors can change at every visit), so there is even less incentive to get to know the patient's recovery history.
I’m a raw vegan of 9 yrs, vegan for 20 yrs… I’m biologically much younger than my chronological existence. I’m mostly muscle, very active, have a great monthly cycle no pms, never lacking in minerals, protein or b vitamins. I get at least 100 grams of protein per day. It is possible to be healthy being vegan , just learn well from reputable sources, eat actual food from the earth, not fake vegan replacements, and remember, N=1. Also, I was ran over by a truck while cycling and broke 30 bones in my body just over a year ago. I’m now back to hiking, cycling, yoga, resistance training, and I’m already more flexible and fit than the average person again. Being a victim of life is a choice. We can either be the champion or the victim, the actions and thoughts you plant create the outcome. ✨
Thank you for creating these videos. I'm disappointed by the negative comments. The message I take from them is that we all can take control of our health. I understand that what works for one person may not work for another. You are offering us different avenues to explore. Thank you!
Thanks Michelle! People have strong opinions about the best approaches to health and wellness and I get that. My aim is to inspire myself and others to take a proactive approach to health and aging through conversations with a mix of experts and people like Leslie with positive personal stories to share ❤️
The negative comments come from the medical establishment not only not helping, but actively hurting patients. This is not the fault of doctors, it's the fault of the system. But, the end result is the same.
The entire western world medical system is designed to keep people sick and medicate them, there is zero emphasis on healing and good health. Big pharma controls it all, and docs are so embedded in it from the very beginning that they know no other way. If you want to heal stay the hell away from the system, there is a wealth of information and resources nowadays to assist you in regaining good health using an alternative approach.
My mom had the same issues (plus her body grew cysts - including one the size of an orange on her heart) and heart disease. I spent my childhood basically thinking that she'd be dead soon. She's been on crazy drugs her whole life, and managed not to die - in the past few years she has reversed so many of these issues just by going keto. Doctors did NOTHING for her except make her life worse.
Wow! That is an amazing story! Dr Christopher Palmer at Harvard Med School has the most amazing book on how the ketogenic diet can also positively impact a number of neurological disorders, including addiction, anorexia, Alzheimer's, bipolar, dementia, schizophrenia. Stanford Med School also recently published results of a study they conducted confirming the results at Harvard. Ketones are incredible molecules. Personally, I like to be metabolically flexible, so, able to go into ketosis in the morning a couple of times a week and also be a glucose burner, but each of us needs to find what works best for our metabolism and your mother is a wonderful example of success. Thanks so much for sharing!
She is so right. I found the carnivore way of eating just recently. So many doctors are carnivores. Dr Kenneth Berry and Dr Anthony Chaffe and cardiologists. I love reading comments there and at Homesteadhow or Any carnivore site. I always thought that my Mom was going to die also. I was a mess sometimes in school.
Thank you so much, this inspired me a lot to feel more self empowered to heal myself❤. I have multiple auto immune conditions, i am 45 and am mostly housebound with no support or family. The drs just give me more and more medications and often dismiss me about things. I feel like i live at home like an eldrly person with a walking stick, which i do use because i used to be paralysed. This inspired me to take my health into my own hands to heal and create a better life instead of trusting doctors who dont even treat me with respect . Thank you so much.🙏💐☺️🌻💞
How amazing how you took control of your health! Congrats to you! I think it’s criminal that she didn’t want to know what you did to remove the disease! Your story is so inspiring to me. ❤
My sister & I have been trying to improve our own vision using the Bates Method eye exercises and every time my sister has gone in to have her eyes checked the eye doctor asks what she has been doing differently to improve her vision and has needed weaker prescriptions for her glasses each time. She finally told him that she has been doing the Bates Method eye exercises and he wrote her off saying, “Oh no, those don’t work”. She found it odd that he’d say that after having just asked her again what she has been doing differently. It makes me think that doctors are taught a limited set of skills and if it’s not something they can charge you for (like eye exercises because you can do them for free at home), then they aren’t interested. Anyway, with that in mind, I loved this interview and have been following her work trying to reverse my greying hair. Maybe you could also do an interview regarding the Bates Method Eye Exercises to let other people know about them. The eye stretches alone seem to help with hollowed eye sockets and bags under the eye.
I also did the bates method and the newer ones yes there is new exercises my myopia was 2.8 I am now 1.The optician got angry with me when I told him I was doing it they are brain washed
What a great interview 🙌 Lesley is an amazing person with an amazing an inspiring message. Would have been lovely if she had told us about what she eats and her daily routine. We can all learn so much from these individuals who have walked the path of self-healing and thank you for this interview 🙏🏻
I've linked in the description to the longevity lifestyle recommended by the Oxford Longevity Project which Leslie founded and it includes dietary advice.
Hi there, I have a few rules for my daily diet which might give you some insight into how I eat: 1) avoid dairy, gluten and processed sugars, 2) avoid nightshade vegetables (aubergine, courgette, potatoes, green peppers - red are unproblematic for me for some reason) which always gave me RA flareups, 3) have Medium Chain Triglycerides in my tea or coffee daily to help my gut biome, brain, and my body's ability to keep harmful bacteria such as Candida at bay, 4) have low glycemic index fruit such as blueberries and strawberries; both contain anthocyanins, 5) get protein, collagen and creatine into my diet to keep my muscles strong, 6) have eggs and switch between types of hens, as well as between duck, chicken and quail to keep allergic reactions down (I was initially diagnosed as allergic to chicken eggs), 6) get loads of vegetables in my diet, 7) boil veg and add olive oil and sesame seeds on top; this is especially important for broccoli, which is a goitrogen and therefore can reduce thyroid function, so boiling makes the goitrogens to into the water, which I just throw out. I hope some of the above helps!
Thank you for noticing that and for the kind comment! I don't want or need to look 21. I also don't need the ovaries of a 21-year-old as I've had my children. I'm excited for this time now, at 59, with decades of valuable life experience, but I'm grateful to have low inflammation and to be in good health.
Just going to mention my personal experience with better health, at one point in my life I was pre diabetic along with serious kidney issues and constant pain, I started diet and lifestyle choices that reversed all my problems within 3 years and I did the keto diet along with intermittent fasting, I also implemented other forms of physical stress to heal the body like daily walks and longer baths, I avoided skin care products, avoided modern medicine and only used traditional medicine like lemon water, Apple cider vinegar and extra virgin olive oil
Thank you for a wonderful video! So much of the message resonates with me. After a misdiagnosis in 2014 that almost cost me my life, I’ve sadly lost faith in most doctors. Mine were rushing me through 10 minute appointments, telling me it was all in my head and referring me to psychologists when a specific test would have provided the answer. I’m in Australia btw. That experience made me realise I need to advocate for myself when something feels off. In some instances doctors are dismissive and transactional and sometimes well meaning doctors don’t have the time or training to offer what is needed.
I have my second child when i was 46 , normally conceived and normal delivery, now my daughter is 14th years old ,i am 60 , still no decease i am mostly on raw fruits and vegetables diet, never take medication or to Doctor , what we eat is very important
That's amazing! There is research linking a woman's ability to conceive naturally in her 40's with greater overall longevity. What we eat is indeed incredibly important.
@@underated17 the reason they feel healthy it's because they stopped eating the average western diet (full of deep fried food, sugar and highly processed) and start eating clean. It's not because of the meat itself. They would also feel great if they did the same with a plant based diet (a balanced one). Long term carnivore is not sustainable. Even the carnivore guru had to add some fibre and veggie (calling it animal based veggie lol) to his diet because he developed health issues on carnivore diet
Hello, it's interesting that you fell pregnant at 47 years old naturally. Was you still having your periods? Did you start your periods late about 18 years old?
This is awesome. After doing a lot of research I was able to ditch hypothyroidism after over 10 years with diet/lifestyle changes. I no longer require medication and have not for the last five years. My doctor agreed to monitor my thyroid levels during my quest and the dosage was reduced twice. I went completely off the meds and was retested three months later. They have been in normal ranges since. I certainly think there is a place for medication/western medicine, but I think there is a lot we can do to be in control of our health that we just have not realized in the past. I would encourage anyone to research and be informed when they are diagnosed with something.
Wonderful that you were able to do this! I am still on desiccated pig's thryroid (Armour or Erfa are the two brands I move between) but depending on the time of year, I can reduce or increase my dose. I monitor my pulse and body temperature to do so, with the need for thyroid hormone decreasing in summer and increasing a bit in winter.
I had my last pregnancy when I was 40. I knew many people having healthy babies up to 47 years old. Don't believe the lie of being" too old", or that you need tests. They're not even 100% accurate anyway.
I’m 67- no meat since 1976 and vegan 13 yrs. I’m in excellent shape for a woman my age. I start my day with 100 push-ups ( 2 sets of 50) before several other workouts. MRNA vaccines have been in the US pork supply for over 4 yrs and now in most commercial livestock. Not to mention all the other nastiness festering in meat. Many people over 50 are B12 deficient regardless of diet. Our planet is a toxic cesspool ( and our soils are mineral deficient) .All toxins bioaccumulate up the food chain.
Good for you! I’m 47 and have been vegan for 14 years. I have no health issues - no allergies or intolerances. My period cramps and discomfort stopped when I went vegan, and my cycles became regular and shorter. I very rarely get headaches and don’t even keep painkillers at home. I walk a lot and practice capoeira (Brazilian martial arts), and I mostly eat whole foods. I consume nutritional yeast daily, and take B12, D3, and algae based Omega-3 a couple of times a week. In my last blood test, my folate was at the high end of normal, and my B12 and ferritin were on the lower side but still within the normal range. Everything else was fine, including my methylmalonic acid, which was low (indicating no B12 deficiency). I love how my diet makes me feel - I’m always feeling energised, happy, and healthy (unless I don't sleep well for whatever reason) Before I went vegan, I used to have pre-diabetes and hypothyroidism (apparently all my family have it)
They fail to understand any diet will have deficiency if the person is not eating a balanced diet - no matter if it's plant based, omnivorous, keto, etc. I know strong and healthy and older vegans, and I know a lot of omnivorous battling serious health issues, deficiency of iron and B12
As a doctor I would have been sooo curious to know what it was you did to Heal yourself… even if I have a busy schedule! Thank you for sharing your story ❤
My daughter was diagnosed at 19, told it was aggressive and she would be wheelchair bound within s few years. She reversed RA 100% no pain no meds through elimination diet, parasite and metal cleanse played a huge part, no need for any expensive treatments, Dr Brooke Goldner has books and TH-cam videos on this.
Interesting. Her stance on the current medical culture leaving the patient responsibly out is so true. I don’t agree with her diet assessments, but I am willing to listen.
Thank you so much for taking the time to say so. I know there are many other patients out there who have done what I have done - I'm just trying to share my story in the hopes that someone else who is in a similar situation knows there are options.
I got rid of a debilitating condition and my doctors didn’t want to know either. They actually made me retake tests at a different hospital as they thought the machine couldn’t be working because I improved so dramatically. 🤷♀️
Leslie please talk more specifically about hashimoto and what markers you checked, ranges, what you did to be in remission? Please talk more about HRT, when did you start, what hormones, by oral or injection? Hey husband started Testosterone and felt better but! Started losing hair and that became a real concern.🌸
Good inspiring interview, Claire, but somewhat incomplete! What Claire failed to cover if there were changes in eating habits, sleeping habits, career, social support, and personal life. How have those changed? It seems like a promotion for Leslie Kenny's products. What I like best is how Leslie is able to persuade her doctor to cooperate with her. This in itself is a true victory because some doctors are not open minded and even put down their patients.
Dr Brooke Goldner has helped her lupus patients to go into remission for over 10 years on her protocol . She had lupus nephritis and is in remission for 20 years. She Published paper Feb 2024 in Frontiers US medical journal.
LOVED this interview Clare .. just ordered my first bottle of Primeadine!! I'll be rattling from all the supplements!! I am already taking magnesuim for 'restless leg' syndrome .. it has been phenomenal!! As well as Vit D (my levels were at 9 so seriously low!!), B vitamins, Iron and Collagen Supplements!!! I am really hoping that this concoction will help with my permanent feeling of exhaustion!!! Menopause isn't fun!!!!
Let me know if you feel it helps you Mairead! I've also built up quite a little supplement stack. I do find strength training helps a lot with energy - not sure if you've started down that path yet but I highly recommend it.
@@thehonestchannel Thanks Clare, will def keep you posted. My problem is that I am so exhausted all the time, particularly after work that I cannot even face a walk. So I am hoping to get some energy back to start back swimming. It is so debilitating and v frustrating. Thanks for all the super interviews, they are so helpful!
@@maireadweaver8952 So sorry to hear you're experiencing that. You're really not alone. I know a lot of people who feel very similarly at this stage in life.
@@thehonestchannel Thanks Clare .. as a very active person it is so so very frustrating, but you have to put a smile on your face and keep resisting the urge to sneak into bed!!! I am hoping that the HRT and supplements will start to kick in soon and I have started a new nighttime regime to try and get back on track!!! Thank you for all the brilliant videos (and the lovely supportive messages!!!) x
We do not need animal protein to survive. I was on deaths bed 15 years ago. Changed my dietary habits by going plant based, vegan eating a high fruit, no grains, diet reversing all my illnesses in a short time. Had I listened to the doctors I would have been dead today. I am healthy, and disease free from living this lifestyle. I never bought into protein myth thank goodness, and thrived. Zero meds or supplements only clean food, and clean water. Initially I drank Dandelion tea, Burdock tea and Sarsaparilla tea to help with the elimination process.
At 59 with a RA diagnosis since age 25, I would love to have bio age of 21. But I do love my silver sparkling hair. Ordered spermidine supplements a few days before seeing this video~what validation
This was an excellent subject with great information. However, I’ve got to make two points: I’ve had systemic lupus and Sjogren’s disease for over 20 years. My C reactive protein has always been 0.5 in all that time. Never, ever varies from that number, regardless of whether I’m in a flare or not. That test is not always an accurate measurement of inflammation. My rheumatologist said in some people it just doesn’t register and is not a good indicator of disease activity. Also, from the very beginning, my lupus was treated with hydroxychloroquine and methotrexate, and both were very helpful in keeping the disease process somewhat controlled and keeping me alive to this day. Were there no immunosuppressants available to her at her diagnosis? It’s hard to believe her doctor didn’t know about these very common drugs used to treat both Sjogren’s and systemic lupus for well over twenty years.
She did mention at the begining of the video that her 1st dr prescribed/ recommended her immune suppressants. I think she was looking to be in control of the symptoms in a more natural way, so she started her own research for a better lifestyle....
Her doctor was going to put her on immunosuppressants but she said she was in the middle of invitro fertilization and can’t do that, or at least doesn’t want to bc she really wants to be a mother. Plus, her doctor told her she only has 5 years left so don’t have kids. She explains all of this in the beginning. She did it on her own and healed her body through food and living a healthy lifestyle.
I'm glad you liked the interview. As a couple of people have said in the comments, I was actually told to take Humira, an injectable immunosuppressant, but I was reluctant to begin this because my diagnosis came in the middle of my 5th IVF cycle and I was waiting for embryos to be transferred to my uterus. Because these embryos were the result of donor eggs, which were extremely difficult to come by, I didn't want to jeopardise my chances of the embryos implanting by taking the immune suppressants. As it happens, that IVF cycle also failed, and, once it failed, I *did* begin injecting myself with Humira, and later with Enbrel. Methotrexate was not a treatment I knew or was told about in 2004, however, I have met many many women who have been put on methotrexate who tell me they cannot get pregnant, which is a side effect. Methotrexate is still not officially approved by the US FDA for treatment of lupus; it is prescribed 'off label', So, in short, my doctor *did* know about the common immune suppressant injectables and I was indeed put on them, however, she told me my cytokines, Tumour Necrosis Factor (TNF) Alpha and other immune markers were 'sky high'. My C-RP was also sky high and getting it down to 3.0 was a victory. It is now 0.3. I take your point that not everyone with an autoimmune disease will present with an elevated hsC-RP, but it is often a biomarker for disease, whether autoimmune or otherwise. For other AI patients, getting cytokines, T-NF Alpha and IGA and IGG, among others, gives a more complete picture. Thank you again for taking the time to comment.
Sorry to interrupt again but having told that I was low in iron. And researching it I found that there were foods that I was eating with my iron-rich meals that were hindering my iron absorption . Tannic foods such as black tea coffee and also dairy products hinder iron absorption . So now when I do my iron in the evening I make sure there no foods to hinder my iron absorption
@marias8447 yes thank you I do eat a big kale and kimchi salad with fresh lemon juice on it for the vitamin c ☺️😀 with my iron rich meal also a teaspoon of dulce seaweed for the iodine .👍👍 I'm trying to stay as healthy as I can 💪💪 loving all the feedback thank you so much 😋😋
Great guest. I reversed my RA in a year using the protocols from Anthony William, the medical medium. No eggs, dairy, gluten, corn, soy, canola oil. His first book has chapters on Hashimotos, RA and Lupus. All triggered by the Epstein Barr Virus. I think this woman is being overly generous about doctors. Most doctors are nothing more than drug pushers. Those who are wanting to help have their hands tied and jobs on the line. We saw this during covid. I love how the Attorney General discusses loneliness yet they were all quite happy to lock people down over the last 4 years. Btw, why is there so many with compromised immune systems now? Nothing to do with the jabs, I’m sure. 😉
I’m glad that she was proactive. Her MD was really not great and showed very much lack of care. MD’s are mostly not researchers and couldn’t care less, unfortunately.
In my opinion, she looks her age...only she looks very very healthy and beautiful. She certainly doesnt look 40s she looks mid-late 50s. @@suzyvegalicious5646
Okay, I'm listening to this really interested to see what is her secret to turning all this around. So she talks about eating right and moving and being social, etc., etc. and then almost at the very end she says ya and I do bio-identical hormone replacement therapy which really helps...really...who would've guessed. So, from what I've observed from listening to women on the internet and also on some weight lifting sites on facebook pretty much all of the women who look 20 years younger are doing bio-identical hormones. And I also know this because the women I now who eat right and exercise, including myself do not look 20 years younger and have grey hair and their muscle mass and energy are nowhere near those who do the hormones. Take the hormones away and these women would not be what they are. So if you are striving to be like this woman you need to take hormones. I'm not saying the other things don't help and are not necessary but the hormones ARE the game changer.
I really do not want to take exogenous hormones. I'm just turning 60, have white hair (which I think looks quite nice) but my skin looks really good, especially as long as I drink green smoothies with tons of super foods in them daily. For me I think the biggest thing is dropping inflammatory foods-dairy, wheat, eggs (for many), peanuts maybe, sugar, processed foods. Women haven't taken hormones after menopause for thousands of years, I would like to learn how to stay youthfully healthy without them!
I am on HRT too. Have been for 3 years now and I will not stop using it. I am slim, eat fairly well, weigh what I did all my life prior to Menopause and I am extremely healthy and energetic. I am 60 now and have started working out more consistently than before as I want to remain as strong as possible in the years to come. I use retinoid too but I definitely don't look 20 years younger on the outside though I could be on the inside the way I feel lol! I decided to go gray as it suits me but I am always dressed up and wearing makeup as I like to look good. NObody can say I've let myself go. I take care of my mum with Alzheimers too and I wouldn't be able to do that without HRT to keep me sane and possibly prevent or slow down any possibility of me getting that horrible disease too. She had a hysterectomy at 42 and has now lived 46 years without estrogen. I'm sure that had something to do with her outcome. We must not forget that we live much longer now,not like generations past where women lived only 15-20 years without estrogen. Nowadays we are living 35-40 years without this important hormone. My aunt is 89 years old, has had lupus all her life, and has several children and grandchildren. She eats only healthy, natural foods with lots of vegetables (her family grows much of their own). She is remarkable. Lupus is not a death sentence.

I moved to Sardinia a few years ago and all I can say I was shocked to see how many of my elderly neighbors were close to 100, with their minds still bright and in proper order. And doing their morning and afternoon walks every day. And mind you - we are in the slightly mountainous region, you either walk up or down :) Even when co-vid came it did not touch them as much as the younger generation. It is true - daily walks, social interactions and simple life with good home-grown food is the key to longevity.
Don’t give up. I know someone she conceived age 46 . She did ibf whatever is that. Then she stopped coz she finds it stressful. When she stopped she got pregnant. But we prayed for her to conceive z. Praise God she got pregnant
@@thehonestchannelThanks for the video. I am taking melatonin 3 gm. Can I take it daily? I ran you could take it 2 months and need to stop afterward. What is the risk if I take it forever?
Very interesting and inspirational interview. Regardless of her treatment choices and whether or not everyone agrees with them, her overall message to live as well as you can and don't give up hope is key. In fairness, every treatment doesn't work for everybody, but why not take an active role in our care and treat our bodies well, regardless of outcome? Lupus is notoriously hard to diagnose and I'm surprised her doctor didn't suggest retesting right away, and refer to a rheumatologist. She was justified in getting a second option. It may have saved her life. At the very least it greatly improved the quality of her existence.
I had the same diagnoses as Leslie when i was 28, i was not able to walk. They were going to give me these injections and i couldn't conceive. I refused and at that time i found studies about doctor buschinger about gluten-free and lactase free and fasting benefit, i did it , i was able to walk again within 2 weeks. I am now 43 and i look 20!
Not really buying what this woman is promoting. I had a complete thyroidectomy 8 years ago from thyroid cancer. I’ve been vegan ever since and feel absolutely fabulous! I get my magnesium from my greens and take vitamin B supplements. I luckily never experienced hot flashes when I went through Menopause so never needed or took hormones with exception Levothyroxine to replace my missing thyroid. For me, at 71, I eat a clean vegan diet along by exercising with weights and keep moving to stay healthy and vibrant for many years to come.
@@yuliaschannel6288That's not fair to say. I don't agree with a vegan lifestyle , but if it has worked for her you are disregarding her experience and choice.
“She looks her age. RA and lupus are common after a HPV vaccine.” That is my response to the ridiculous click bait. I thought it was going to be a light fluffy ridiculous interview because of the click bait. It turns out that it was a stunningly valuable insightful and wise interview! I am a fan even from this first interview! And I’m just about to look up spermidine !
I too am 59.waiting for my biological age test from Novos Age. Supposedly, dna methylation tests are the most accurate. But I wish I did the test with Trudiagnostics. That test measures your bio age, telomere length, like 100 biomarkers, aging pace, immunity and the function of 12 organs. Both Novos Age and Trudiagnostic base the results from the most advanced tests around. I think it's called the Dunedin pace Clock. Designed by Harvard. But I can't wait. Turning 60 in January
I want to do this and have been considering 2 of the Novos popular products for a while now. This Trudia test is intriguing and right up my alley. I’ll have to look into it. Also about to start the ‘blue’ drink and red light therapy. Please come back and let us know how your test went. :)
very powerful discussion. I believe the majority of health issues can be self healed. Shame on that doctor for not wanting to know what you did. That is invaluable knowledge that could help others. I would love to hear if there is anyone out there that has cured type 1 diabetes. Doctors say it's can't be cured but maybe no one has challenged that yet
Nope, nope, nope... At 38 I put my autoimmune disease into remission with a ketovore way of eating! At 39 I conceived naturally and delivered a healthy, almost 8lb baby!! I do agree, we are all very different but there's only one proper diet for humans.
I think she said it because I gave so much pushback on taking the immunosuppressants while doing my 5th IVF. That's when she said, 'I wouldn't do it. You've got a good 5 years left.' I really think she meant it to be helpful.
That's brilliant, thank you both, such a good conversation, learnt a lot, love Leslie, what a lady, incredible what she did, what a diagnoses, going from incurable disease - 5 years to live, to cured herself in 6 months!! Such a strong lady, give me the strength to do that and here she is 19 years later, big lesson about self-healing as you both said. Great tips, listened carefully. Will come back and re-listen. Will check out the spermidine, tend to believe someone who was told she only had 5 years to live. She has children too, all great.
When a doctor speaks to you like that… run!! Though it can be a good wake up call and can be motivating to find other answers and make better choices… though so many people hear doctors as the authority and hear it as the end. I can’t imagine how some docs speak to people like this!! She is so correct, that what they say is not your destiny! Our bodies are so amazing and when we give them what they need and stop giving them what they don’t need, things can absolutely change in what may be seen as miraculous ways. Your body is a miracle! Treat it that way!!
Hi there, thank you for your interest in the supplements I take. They are based on what my bloodwork results show I am deficient in, so they are not necessarily supplements I would recommend to everyone else.
A long time ago, my wife was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The only treatment option given her was immune suppressants. Several years later, she was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis, another autoimmune disease. Similar treatment options. I’m trying to figure this out and as far as I can tell, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Multiple sclerosis have the same root cause: an immune response that is malfunctioning. The fix is to reboot her immune system. Not an easy task but doable.
Love Leslie's story, and passion for life. All the time the large pharma companies are supplementing the doctor's education and business they will continue to push pharma and poo-poo other healing paths. I have a similar story around curing aggressive eczema which turned out to be a symptom of candida albicans, which also created stiff joints in fingers and so many other symptoms, but for past 10 years since changing my diet i don't have any of these symptoms. . My GP didn't really want to know- they have their whole livelihood invested in their method of medicine. I used to get angry now I just accept there is another way and anytime I can share my experience with others I do. Pharma has its place but it's abused due to profit and control of shareholders etc. So as not to scare people maybe the mention that the gut lining does repair itself over a period of time (think its about every 30 days) as long as we do what Leslie mentioned then each time it reproduces it has a healthy environment to do so. One last thing, I will try to find the video but I once heard from a professor that well being of the body should only be thought of as good cells and bad cells and not to name and label everything as far as diseases are concerned. I'm not an expert but I like simple and I feel we all know what we need if we are willing to be proactive and listen to our bodies- just as Leslie mentioned. And we cant act as an expert for others we can only share what we do for our own bodies.
Yes, I did sadly do 5 rounds of IVF, 4 of them hyper stimulating my own ovarian follicles, which I absolutely hated - and felt terrible on. My approach towards cancer is to keep my immune system as healthy as I can so that it can properly surveil my body for cancer and get rid of it.
"idiopathic" isn't the only word that means the doctors don't know why it is. I discovered that fibromyalgia ALSO basically means "pain in your fibers with unidentified cause". At least that's how one of my doctors threw the word out. Thats already too many shrugs. I solved more by seeing a kids nutritionist for myself and my kid than with any doctor. But then we still had family to deal with who didn't believe that we shouldn't eat what the medical tests said we needed to avoid. A LITERAL PAIN IN THE BUTT oh and BTW in the meantime, i healed anaemia with vegan supplements + vit C, mushrooms, nuts and beans. In 2 months. Thank you for this video, I'd fallen off my extremely strict healing diet, because it's not easy avoiding "fun" and "easy" food ALL of the time, but your enthusiasm in this video will stick around in my brain probably just enough for me to get me back on the right track. THANKYOU!

Another factor in our limited biome in many countries is the obsession with cleanliness; people disinfecting everything and hyper washing everything that goes into the mouth. Kids have put all sorts things into their mouths forever, including dirt, and rather than suffering illness as a consequence have built their immune system. We do ourselves a disservice by being so focussed on hyper cleanliness.
Just back from walking the dogs through the woods at the back of the house. Will be collecting the leaves from the garden. Having dogs, I should imagine, is also good for our micro biome, yet alone the cuddles, laughs and general ridiculousness of their view of the world, I’m sure is very healthy.

My decision as well.
Ditto!
Exactly the same here just passed 68 - two persons guessed I’m 41 & 45 today :)
That diet cured my HANDFUL of Autoimmune diseases (Sjoegren, Hashimoto, Raynaud, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Depression, Cronic Fatigue....)
and THAT DIET brought enormous benefit to the SCHIZOPHRENIA that my mother was suffering from.

Sadly - way too many doctors are just a giant prescription pad 😮

Sorry to say there are doctors who really burnt out or limited in knowledge on other health issues. I know more about my body than strangers with some medical training. Personal story had to pay private for total hysterectomy & consultants face looked a bit shocked when I woke up, so I just said “It was a mess wasn’t it?” She said “Yes” & nodded.
Great to do you're doing so well. Thanks for sharing your experience here.
Brilliant!
Some doctors are too arrogant 🙄 to admit that a patient cured what they dis nit known how to.
Most of them
It was a real stunner for me, too, but made me realise that doctors are under incredible time pressure and don't want to necessarily get drawn into a potentially longwinded conversation with a patient.
They even have arrogance to tell you that you can raise one issue in one appointment that your appointment time is over. This is a GP in the UK.
I know right!!?? Blew my mind too.
I’m a raw vegan of 9 yrs, vegan for 20 yrs… I’m biologically much younger than my chronological existence. It is possible to be healthy being vegan , just learn well from reputable sources, eat actual food from the earth, not fake vegan replacements, and remember, N=1. Also, I was ran over by a truck while cycling and broke 30 bones in my body just over a year ago.
So glad to hear your mom is doing better.

That’s exactly what I’m doing ! Stopping all allergens to reduce inflammation I’m so glad this is being talked about
This is awesome. I would encourage anyone to research and be informed when they are diagnosed with something.
well done great, I use levithyroxine daily, not sure what I would without that, I will do more research, thank you
What did you do differently so you didn’t have to be on medication? I really want to know

I love how my diet makes me feel - I’m always feeling energised, happy, and healthy (unless I don't sleep well for whatever reason)
Before I went vegan, I used to have pre-diabetes and hypothyroidism (apparently all my family have it)
They fail to understand any diet will have deficiency if the person is not eating a balanced diet - no matter if it's plant based, omnivorous, keto, etc. I know strong and healthy and older vegans, and I know a lot of omnivorous battling serious health issues, deficiency of iron and B12

As a doctor I would have been sooo curious to know what it was you did to Heal yourself… even if I have a busy schedule! Thank you for sharing your story ❤
Absolutely fantastic....
The day I decided to take my health in my hands was a revelation.
I'm really pleased to hear your daughter is doing so much better.
Thank you for sharing your daughter's experience. That is very inspiring!
I’m doing her protocol too. She doesn’t really believe in parasite cleanses, who did you follow for that?
Interesting. Her stance on the current medical culture leaving the patient responsibly out is so true.
I don’t agree with her diet assessments, but I am willing to listen.
I'm so inspired! Thank you for re-igniting my love of taking charge of my own health.
I enjoyed this interview so much ❤ Leslie is such an amazing woman!

Thank you so much for taking the time to say so. I know there are many other patients out there who have done what I have done - I'm just trying to share my story in the hopes that someone else who is in a similar situation knows there are options.
Thank you for staying alive and giving us such a beautiful inspiration
I got rid of a debilitating condition and my doctors didn’t want to know either. They actually made me retake tests at a different hospital as they thought the machine couldn’t be working because I improved so dramatically. 🤷♀️
I do all these things too. Great research on using these tools. Women underestimate treatments typically. This woman is wise. She gets it.
Fascinating interview, diet and hormones have a huge impact on your health we really all have to take responsibility of our own health !

Never thought this was even possible. My new motivation
Yeah exactly. Story doesn't make sense
For S'jogrens take Silica or Derma Silica
I have loved listening to Leslie, brilliant video!!!❤
Sorry to interrupt again but having told that I was low in iron. And researching it I found that there were foods that I was eating with my iron-rich meals that were hindering my iron absorption . 😉
Congratulations on your outcome of reversing RA. Did you make any other changes to your diet? Supplements that might have supported this success?
Love your comments darling!! Interesting mind!!! … and brave!!

She turned her immune system around first though
Who wants heart disease, osteoporosis or Alzheimers when you know you can do something about it by taking hrt if you are an ideal candidate? Not me!!
I'm 58 and don't take HRT. I look young for my age and I feel great! I'm also strong, lean and healthy with LOTS of energy.
She doesn't look younger than her age. She looks fine but not younger. The only thing that might be younger is if she really doesn't have white hair, but she could be coloring it.
My aunt is 89 years old, has had lupus all her life, and has several children and grandchildren. She eats only healthy, natural foods with lots of vegetables (her family grows much of their own). She is remarkable. Lupus is not a death sentence.

Well said.

The fact that the Doctors “don’t have time” is so irresponsible . We rely on Dr’s to help and guide us.
When a doctor speaks to you like that… run!! Though it can be a good wake up call and can be motivating to find other answers and make better choices… though so many people hear doctors as the authority and hear it as the end. I can’t imagine how some docs speak to people like this!!

I really hope you find answers and solutions for her soon.
Fantastic info thank you 😊

IVF given 5x? That is scary because of the possibilities of causing cancer and potential health problems.
Happy New Year Nat!🎉
"idiopathic" isn't the only word that means the doctors don't know why it is.
I discovered that fibromyalgia ALSO basically means "pain in your fibers with unidentified cause".
At least that's how one of my doctors threw the word out.
Thats already too many shrugs.
I solved more by seeing a kids nutritionist for myself and my kid than with any doctor.
But then we still had family to deal with who didn't believe that we shouldn't eat what the medical tests said we needed to avoid.
A LITERAL PAIN IN THE BUTT
oh and BTW in the meantime, i healed anaemia with vegan supplements + vit C, mushrooms, nuts and beans. In 2 months.

Kids have put all sorts things into their mouths forever, including dirt, and rather than suffering illness as a consequence have built their immune system. We do ourselves a disservice by being so focussed on hyper cleanliness.
