Mario Party 7 is a party game released for the Nintendo GameCube in 2005. Four players race across a board trying to get stars.
In this TAS, BeastlyN64 ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/B... ) plays on the "Solo Cruise" gamemode. This is the main story mode for Mario Party 7 in which the player must play through all 6 boards against one CPU opponent. Each board has a different objective the player must beat before progressing on to the next board. Unlike party mode, you don't play minigames at the end of each turn. - เกม

Yeah speed runners usually use Peach or Daisy in this game because of the Flower Orb. Effect-wise it’s just like Mario Party 8’s Bitsize Candy without the 8-bit transformation in which you get 3 coins from every space travelled. If not Peach or Daisy they use Toad or Toadette who have a special item that gives them 3 mushrooms per use, giving them 3 turns of double dice blocks

"Okay okay how about this game? It's first to 100 coins. I have a few house rules modifications I hope you don't mind playing with. Okay I rolled triple 9's which means I get to collect everything on the board. Sorry you rolled a 1. That means I get the rest of the coins. GG."
"Third time's the charm, eh? Let's see, I rolled a... 1? Ugh. HEY WHAT'S THAT OVER THERE? Must've been nothing. You rolled a 1 also. Okay my turn! I landed on the 'Warp to the end of the game' space. I win!"
"No hard feelings. Let's rematch, okay? What? No, I'm not cheating! I'm sorry you keep rolling 1's and I keep winning but if you're going to be a sore loser I don't think I want to play with you any more."
"So I know you said you didn't want to play any more but I put you in for this game. I'll roll for you. By the way I won again."

This is by far my favorite single player mode and my favorite game ever

Chuggaaconroy beats laws of reality and luck to anger ProtonJon.
Jon beat the Bowser board very quickly so their luck is pretty equal considering Emile’s N64 luck and Jon’s GameCube luck (besides 7). Emile had bad luck in the first 3 GameCube games and Jon had ok luck at the N64 games
wait how does he influence the rng to favor daisy? do the spots where stars spawn stay there when you quicksave and quickload to exploit the system
If I had to guess, it's based off of the current frame. If you notice, they pause the game before certain random things happen, such as collecting an item. They just pause and wait a bit to manipulate the RNG to a favorable outcome.
It seems like there's a pretty excessive amount of time wasted on manipulation here. Surely there are better ways to do it than with that many pauses?
@@hawaiidkw1 This isn't a (human) speedrunner. This is a TAS. It's supposed to be the theoretical fastest time a player could achieve, if they had the fastest reflexes in the world. But this seems to be pretty far from the theoretical fastest time to me.
@@globalincident694 Even with beyond superhuman reactions, there isn't much of anything you can do to influence the game when it's not even your turn.
@@globalincident694 considering each opponents move loses multiple seconds and even each movement within that move costs about half a second, a second to manipulate them down to a 1 isn’t a time loss overall, especially when you consider manipulation to get the player down to the fewest possible moves
The last truly great mario party
2 things:
1: Any reason you chose Daisy over Peach? They have the same flower orb, so was it personal preference, or does Daisy have faster animations/voice lines/etc?
2: That was really satisfying to watch!
would you be willing to rng mario party 4’s darts of doom and make everyone get the same score (causing a four way tie for first)? Someone had uploaded a video of this and used cheats to give everyone the same score. Luigi went first and he lost, making it appear as though if multiple players were tied for the lowest score, the first player who got that score loses. I studied the board and calculated the scores of each player and Luigi ended up with the lowest actual total anyways, so he would've lost if cheats were off.
