For those that might be curious, Bayonetta is a title used as a name, a Bayonetta was a type of Umbral Witch and when Cereza lost her childhood memories she took the title as a name. So in reality she is Bayonetta Cereza and now that Viola is taking up the mantle she'd be Bayonetta Viola, that probably would apply to Jeanne too but I'm not super duper sure about that. And now you know.
Do you have a link to back this up? Because nowhere on the wiki does it say Bayonetta is a general witch title. It DOES, however, say that Rodin gave her the name (even if it’ Bloody Fate lore, it’s still more canon than what you said)
She’s gonna show up. They made a point of showing a very much alive Luka accompanying her to Hell. He’s got her back, and likely Madama Butterfly is gonna take Bayo under her service, which given that they are notably friendly for a demon/witch contract, shouldn’t be a bad deal.

Personally I definitely could have done without them throwing in that whole box standard straight coupling at the very end, which arguably doesn't even fit with Bayo and Luka's established relationship dynamic and the whole passing of the torch aspect about it also felt a bit half-baked, what with Viola being only just introduced in this game and getting fraction of the focus Cereza got. Other than that, it might well be my favourite game out of the trilogy.
@@jondoe7036 typical straight coupling? Different timelines were created when Bayonetta sent her younger self back to the past. She was never sealed for those 500yrs by Jeanne because her watch deflected the knife. I know, it's ridiculous how many timelines and universes there are.
Wait... so that ominous purple figure from the teaser was this green dude that has absolutely different shape in the game, and he just exploded at the end without epic cutscene... And what was his motivation and is it revealed during the game?
From what I can understand from his bio and his dialogue. He desired to remove randomness and chance from occuring so that he can control the truth of the universe and was dilusional enough to think that it was his right to do as he wishes. He also like all AI think they are a superior life form to their creators and in this sense of self importance he decided that he would merge the trinity back into a single universe with his alphaverse as the center point. Fun fact he was supposed to be nothing but a más produced model of servant android with minimal ai. But a random glitch caused him to get self awareness.
Given Rodin's comment about getting an earful from Viola's dad during the final ending sequence, it's likely that Cereza and Luka are fine in Inferno, likely Luka is protecting her from any of the demons and they're making it work down there such that Rodin hears from them on occasion.
Why is nobody talking about Cereza (Bayonetta) dance to the end credit music... Like come on! (I lowkey cried thinking about how she is gone) {(she can technically be saved if her physical body isn't "gone")} [(Jeanne on the other had as much as we all love her as well she is actually gone like physically.. Her body is no longer around but her soul is.. But in inferno)] tbh viola opens new doors (hopefully we get a game with Viola, seeming how she is the new bayonetta) in due time hopefully she learns how to use other weapons besides chesire.. She does good with chesire but it doesn't suit her in MY OPINION she couldn't do much near the end but be a distraction and make more time (did help.. BUT I kept lowkey getting upset at her for throwing herself to the main enemy) >my thinking process
I love the way every stage represents Bayonetta's fighting. Chaos is For sin ritual. In balance form he just summons homunculi and we mostly fighting them, representing Demon slave. And definition form just starts kicking in punching. He even reduces the battlefield so you're the only one who can stand there, and also can instakill the demons, forcing you to fight traditionally.
Man, Bayonetta 3 is very great, but I felt Cereza as we all know that is, now dead. yeah... this is a heartwarming moment where everyone was shocked and cried a lot, even streamers reacted to that when they played which is extraordinaire. hopefully Dante might be still alive if he could keep up... without her.
She’s dead, yeah, but she’s around in Inferno with Luka. There is an actual afterlife and Bayo isn’t gonna just get eaten. She’ll be back as a cameo or a game mode in the next game. In like ten years. Lmao

I actually don't mind that viola become the new bayonetta, as long platinum games or kamiya gives her some progression in the next game to earn the title bayonetta.
What really pisses me off here is that they will probably make Bayonetta 4 be a game where Viola becomes Bayonetta and honestly Viola is kinda ugly and boring compared to Cereza I just wish she ends up being like Raiden or something like it for some time, or maybe Nero Where even tho Nero is the protagonist, Dante still takes a important part of the story (this is more complicated with a series called "Bayonetta" tho)
At first I didn’t like the ending but I changed my mind. After all it’s a different timeline from the previous games. And as for the rest of the game? Gameplay is as fun as ever and the weapon selection is wild especially with the masquerade mechanic. And the story? Okay story has never been Bayonetta’s strong suit so hopefully the upcoming prequel spinoff will do well in that regards. Still the stakes are higher than ever. I don’t know how they’re gonna top saving the entire multiverse from being destroyed. And I know Bayo’s gonna come back in some future game. As some a silly thing like death could stop her especially with Luka/Strider, Rodin, and no doubt Madama Butterfly watching out for her while she’s in Inferno.
When it showed all previous versions of Bayo, it confirmed my theory that each game was actually a different universe instead of one story that continues to the next. I bet the next game will grant every universe to be reborn at the cost of someone's life.
Guess someone in Platinum Games liked SpiderMan No Way Home. I would say it was epic seeing this, but it just don’t work. Pretty much killed the previous 2 titles for me story wise. Even if there’s Bayonetta 4 I wont care about the story thanks to the multiverse concept.
I think I can understand why the creator killed off Bayonetta and introduce Viola as the new “Bayonetta” superstar for the series. Hideki Kamiya probably wants to attract and bring in a new crowd of gamers to the upcoming installments for the Bayo series. Hopefully Rodin brings her back from Hell in the next game. Then again the Bayonetta that we see being dragged to hell is from a different timeline -not the real Bayonetta we saw from the first two games. The multiverse makes everything messy. Ugh.
Bayo 1 asking if this bayo cried while she was gone makes me feel like this was cerezita from bayo 1 but the alternate timeline where bayo spent time with her.
I’ll admit despite controversy this whole premise in bayo 3 is really not bad! It’s a shame Hellena Taylor clearly did not want to do the voice for this but whatever it’s already too late despite what’s going on. But great scene regardless!
Hell yeah indefinitely at first I thought she was hugely doing some sort of Method Acting crap or whatever that is till she slipped up after the Bloomberg report and now she’s trying to uphold her word. I wanted to play 3 really even though I never finished 1 or bothered with 2 but this whole incident really killed the mood and I’m hoping this won’t be a norm next time around with anything in the gaming/entertainment industry for that matter.
So pretty much like Kenpachi in Bleach.
I remember reading that Bayonetta was the title given to the "Impure Child/Witch of Genesis", so it is fitting.
Do you have a link to back this up? Because nowhere on the wiki does it say Bayonetta is a general witch title. It DOES, however, say that Rodin gave her the name (even if it’ Bloody Fate lore, it’s still more canon than what you said)

They have a knack of making the Bayonettas fight their parents so we will most likely see Viola fight them in future games…

@@jayrino4451 it's Bayonetta that's why Rodin call her Bayonetta
@@oratank I watch it again and you're right, I misread her lips
What really pisses me off here is that they will probably make Bayonetta 4 be a game where Viola becomes Bayonetta and honestly Viola is kinda ugly and boring compared to Cereza
I just wish she ends up being like Raiden or something like it for some time, or maybe Nero
Where even tho Nero is the protagonist, Dante still takes a important part of the story (this is more complicated with a series called "Bayonetta" tho)
So that means Viola is the new Bayonetta?
Yes, and I think Jeanne will have a son in Bayo 4.
@@timmytimmymit5607 Is she still alive?
Looks like it. It's clearly said "to be continued in a new generation..."
@@Deadpool-ww2ny nah Jeanne died before the final battle
@@MinatotheGreenLantern Oh yeah
I hate this ending with all my heart
Same
Viola’s VA is simply superb.
I really hoped that at the end all three bayonettas would of summoned something to finish it…
6:01 IS THAT THE KAMEHAMEHA?
I love the Dragon Ball Reference here
We'll miss you bayonet bayonetta and luka my heart is literally aching 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Bayonetta Boss Battle Music never disappoints...
what I feared has come true 💔😥,
I am...devastated by the disappearance of Cereza, Jeanne and Luka 💔💔💔💔💔.
When it showed all previous versions of Bayo, it confirmed my theory that each game was actually a different universe instead of one story that continues to the next. I bet the next game will grant every universe to be reborn at the cost of someone's life.
Any chance Bayo and Luka coming back? Maybe they can get some help from Dante and Vergil since the two of them are also in the underworld.
That Shin Godzilla Kaiju fight was Awesome
So Bayo 1 and Bayo 2 came from different universe instead of sequel and Luka x Cereza happened also in another universe.
Kinda broke the lore here
Bayonetta 1 : Angels
Bayonetta 2 : Angels, Demons, Supernatural Being
Bayonetta 3 : Homunculi
Looks like Rakun's gonna flip at this ending cause LMAO IT WAS WHAT HE PREDICTED
Ugh.
I mean, just go to inferno and rescue her soul, we've done that before
Is this end of the franchise? Damn. She's so beautiful And sexy. I'll miss her so much.
I would have called her Violetta .
You do realize that it's all Hellena Taylor's own fault she lied about boycotting this game, right?
Hell yeah indefinitely at first I thought she was hugely doing some sort of Method Acting crap or whatever that is till she slipped up after the Bloomberg report and now she’s trying to uphold her word.
I wanted to play 3 really even though I never finished 1 or bothered with 2 but this whole incident really killed the mood and I’m hoping this won’t be a norm next time around with anything in the gaming/entertainment industry for that matter.
She wanted out on her own terms and this is what she did to get out.
Guys the Hellena controversy is a marketing ploy to boost the sales yes it’s a lie and she will get paid.
So are Bayo, Jeanne and Luka from 1 & 2 still alive?
