2025 Toyota Camry - Saving the Sedans
ฝัง

- The all-new 2025 Toyota Camry comes only as a hybrid and is the strongest mainstream sedan offering. Handsome looks, a modern design and long string of standard safety make the appeal strong.
With the Hyundai Sonata no longer coming in hybrid form as of 2024, it's just the 2024 Honda Accord hybrid that competes here.

Thank GOD someone is reviewing the XLE LE model! I'm so sick of everyone focusing on the XSE. People aren't looking to Camry for a sporty drive! You buy a Camry for a comfortable, reliable, affordable car to take you to work. It may sound like a negative term but it's not! Toyota Camry is an amazing "car as an appliance", and that is a GOOD thing!
Agreed 100% 😎
The SE is the best trim.
This grill looks so much better than the fully painted XSE grill
Agreed!
Definitely
😊 My 2017 Pearl White xle camry I bought new now has 205k on it, runs and drives and looks like new still.
Other THAN OIL CHANGES, 4 sets of tires , only front set of brake pads I put on last summer everything else is stock and untouched. It's amazing how it just keeps running smooth as silk. I prefer to drive this over my new 4 runner bulk of the time. Money well saved couldn't go wrong!!!!
Nice!
awesome review, and great job Toyota!
Thanks so much, Sean!
I prefer saloon than SUV. Balance ⚖️
I love, Love, LOVE how you guys each have your own opinion. It really enriches the review & keeps me coming back.
That’s awesome feedback, John! Thanks so much!
Great looking car. The interior is fantastic. I always thought the new Accord looked like a Malibu.
Looking for a car. I’m being stubborn and trying to avoid SUVs…but I found an excellent deal in a used Mazda CX50. Tried a Kia K5 and LOVED how it drove. Can’t wait to test this Camry.
We support these decisions! Come back and let us know what you think once you get to test drive one!
Great review! More sedans
Thanks!!!
That XLE is a real beauty! Thanks for the review and hard work.
It really is! Thank you for supporting us - we appreciate you!
How is the braking feel? Does it feel like a normal gasoline car or does it have that weird spongy grabby hybrid braking feel? Great review btw!!
Drives me nuts CVT. It’s NOT a CVT and completely different, this has a eCVT. That being said, anyone I know that wants to go electric. I always say go hybrid instead and not the plug in style. They are more complicated than a non plug in and more prone to problems.
We had it in our notes to say electronically controlled CVT, so if we didn’t then that’s on us. We’ll be mindful of it going forward!
The eCVT that these modern hybrids have are not CVTs. In fact, they aren’t even real transmissions. They are just a couple of computerized motors that tell the main engine what to do. But the name doesn't help their case.
They are not even a "CVT". It has planetary gears.
CVT has planetary gears right? @patwickgriff
@@lionintu nope. That's the term Toyota uses on their eCVTs
the honda accord and this camry are the only options in the segment. Almost identical fuel economy, wonderful exterior designs and the reliability is just fantastic. One has become more sophisticated and mature while one will continue to have perfect sales figures. Im loving this generation/era of sedans. I cannot wait to upgrade when I get more financially stable!
Appreciate the feedback!
Hyundai sonata, Kia K5 are sill available. Subaru legacy, Nissan Altima Chevy Malibu are all getting discontinued this year.
Nice info
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
The XSE and XLE trim are basically the same price. They have different interiors and the XSE has a stronger suspension. No LE trim in Canada and the SE Uprade with AWD doesn't get the panoramic roof so you don't have to worry about hail storms. Waiting for a PHEV means installing a home charger and makes the Camry too expensive.
Definite reliable car reviewed by the definitive believable couple
Im perfectly fine with my trunk space. Trust us. we want our spare tires.
Ventilated seats for canadien trims?
Yep!
i wish the 360 camera had been offered as an option on all 4 trims
I’m definitely looking forward to this car. Perhaps I’ll be able to afford the ‘26 model
The design of the 8th-generation Camry was an anomaly. No one expected Toyota to create such a beautiful design, particularly in the 2018-2020 model with its elegant, flowing dashboard. Things took a downturn after the 2021 update introduced a hastily planned, cheap looking stick-on infotainment screen. With the 9th-generation model, Toyota seems to have returned to its uninspiring designs.
Wtf camry why yall aint give the XLE the sportier suspension? I was fine with the XLE til i heard this. I was trying to avoid the 19" rims. now I gotta get XSE AND get someone to trade 18"wheels with me for my 19"
It slightly triggers me when people say it looks like a prius. You do realize prius follows a design language that toyota has created for this new generation of vehicles. The prius simply is one of the first cars to debut it.
So we both agree the Camry has design cues taken from the Prius.
Prius is the 1st car to have it. Which is the 2nd?
EVs are not going to be a replaecement for ICE. Hybrids do allow smaller displacement with similar performance. Toyota made the right choice doubling down on Hybrids over PHEVs. I travel a lot and most of America is not going to make use of plug-ins, and that's not to mention the reality most work vehicles are diesel, and will continue to be diesel for the foreseeable future.
Appreciate your feedback, Oliver - thank you.
The amount of fabric and piano black on the interior is disappointing. Exterior looks great though. The inside of the car might look better in person.
Let us know when you see it in person.
I don't like hybrid neither, you will have to change the battery once you reach 150k - 200k km and it's expensive to change that. Go for 100% fuel or 100% electric, but not hybrid.
really no choice because of government regulations, the car companies have to pay carbon credits for every carbon emitting car.
Lol
This or Accord ?
This.
Tired of suv . This camry will return people to the sedan
It just might!
Providing they are able to get down into it and climb up and out of it. Too close to the ground.
Great review but disastrous Camry with the Hybrid.
My uncle owns a 2006 Camry with the 4 cylinder engine…still on the road with original engine and transmission and close to 400K kilometres. It does not have TPMS sensors, no traction control and no other gimmicks. It runs on gas and common sense.
Let’s try that on this Hybrid Camry. It will need Hybrid battery for sure in its life..amongst other electronics. Who cares about emissions, gas mileage and fake carbon footprint. Truly to save money is to buy a common sense vehicle with DIY attributes. These Hybrids are space craft on wheel and if it ever gets into an accident….don’t repair this complex vehicle…just write it off.
A lot of people love to blame Toyota for no apparent reason. It’s really the government specifically the EPA that wants EVs on the road but Toyota doesn’t want to go that route because it’s not practical. Literally Toyota is the last automaker trying to keep the internal combustion engine on the market for as long as possible. Making their cars hybrids is the only logical step and they make damn good hybrids and this is all thanks to their Prius. Their hybrid batteries last a very long time 10-15 years in some cases and with their technology getting better, they will last even longer.
Money saved on Gas can go towards replacing the battery
The fabric interior on the dash looks out of place. Hard plastic and then fabric. I find it hideous.
When is the 2025 XSE model going to become available to the public?!
