I do trail riding and you’re right. Putting the GoPro on top does make it look flat. Since there are no really big jumps in trails it looks like the trail you’re riding is simple and easy when in reality it’s not.

I use the proshot helmet mount. Not nearly as clean mounting solution as yours but works. I wanna try mounting it upside down and a little lower like yours. You catch MUCH more bar movement than I do
You should be using the 60 fps frame rate for action videos. The resolution is less important. I have an old GoPro 3+, and have it set at 60 fps 720p Super view, and it looks great on TH-cam.
I noticed you have your go pro mounted backwards, do you have to change the settings on the new hero 7 for it to record upside down or does it do that by itself?

I was actually at lazy springs the same day you were there with your girlfriend I was on a 2017 kx450f my girlfriend when over and talked to you guys not sure if u remember but another mount that I use and is pretty awesome is the DANGO DESIGN it mounts on the same spot u got yours and u can flip it around to whatever angles u want and is pretty good even when wearing a neck brace. And I tested it twice now at the road corse at over 140mph and no issues it don’t come off. Should look in to it as is way easier to just remove when not riding. I can let u give it a test if we ever at the same track again so u can get some feed Back I love it.

She has a 12 ktm 250 push start cuz she can’t kick any big bike that’s why I had to start it for her every time same as when she would drop it around a corner 😂. But yes I thought the same about the dango but the the Camara is on it it looks pretty normal my concern was that it would hit on the neck brace but no it was pretty good. Also don’t know if u have heard about the new app they came out with is call lit pro and is a laptimer for mx that connects to your phone and u can actually see it in real time as u r in the track let’s say your trainer and shows heart rate lines and lot of good info for you since u do it professionally. Me I’m just trying to figure out arm pump 😡. It kills me so quick probably my body position or something but yeah I’ll Come with seat time I guess lol.

The closest SX practice track is 3 hours away so it just doesn't make sense logistically or financially. If a small team reached out to me, i'd definitely give it a shot though

I mounted it upside down for two reasons. 1) Since I'm tall, I wanted to get it a little bit closer to the action so you could see more arm/bike movement. 2) Mounting it right-side-up makes it stick out farther in front of my mouth piece, and I was punching it every time I went to scrub something really hard haha

Why when I upload my videos to TH-cam they reduce in quality (on iPhone) I shoot in 2.7k @60fps. Looks all blurry on iPhone when I watch it back after uploading to TH-cam. It’s fine on pc @ 1440p though?

2013! I got second in 450B stock behind Plessinger in moto one and then tore my knee up in moto 2 which ended my weekend unfortunately. Really felt like that was going to be my year haha
That could be the grade of SD card your using, mine did that for a bit till I lowered the resolution or frame rate, eventually got a top spec SD card and don't have it anymore. Believe it's to do with the write speed of the card not being fast enough
I have a foam block that wraps around the whole GoPro that 100% cancels out the wind noise. GoPro themselves makes one for the hero 4 but they don’t for the hero 5 so u have to cut a bigger hole for the rectangle lense on the hero 5 and up
I guess the new gopro has pretty good wind-noise reduction! The new gopro hero 7 is awesome. The stabilization is really good. Ran a chest mount in a hare scramble and was amazed at how good it came out.
