I took my daughter to a Abba tribute concert in Vegas when she was 8. She got up on the chair dancing and sang every song. The band stopped the show just to tell everyone she wasn't a plant for the show...lol.

I know I'm coming to this over a year after upload, but I have to say: as an ABBA obsessive, this is one the of the BEST and FUNNIEST reactions I've ever seen! So genuine! And dude, I'm so glad Frida (brunette) is finally getting the love she deserves!
During and after their divorces and wife swapping, they continued to make music. People are screaming at you to take a listen to The Winner Takes It All because the men wrote it about the divorce from their point of view, and then handed the lyrics to the women to sing. Some serious mindfúckery there. Careful going down the ABBA rabbit hole though. You'll be there for days and we can't live without you for that long.

Mark from Ireland: I'm afraid i have to correct you Mark from Ireland. First of all they didnt make wife-swapping ''per se''... Björn never had something with Anni-Frid, and Benny never had something with Agnetha. But nevertheless, they indeed cheated on their wifes... at first, as far i know it was Benny (Anni-Fried never get along with it... Anni-Fried is still the reason why they never came back as Abba, since ). Later on, as far i know, also Björn didnt loved Agnetha anymore. Benny cheated Anni-Fried with a swedish TV-show-host , if i am remember correct.
The song ''Winner takes it all'' was written years (!) before all went south. When Björn wrote the song, everything at Abba was at best. They just decided to make a sad song too. Björn even didnt had the lyrics at first. He composed the song when he was drunk and on the way home - it really was mostly finished in around 30 Minutes. Next day he showed the composing to Benny and the others, and they decided to make lyrics around it, which fits. At first (if i am remember correct) it wasnt even ''the winner takes it all'' , but something funny about strawberry ice or something like that. But soon they changed it, and recognized , it has much more power with the ''winner takes it all''-lyrics....
Fans also thought that ''Thank you for the music'' was foreshadowing the end of the group - but also that song was years before all went south.
Actually the last songs were songs like ''day before you came'' ,and you see on the faces of the music-video, that the four band-members are quiet serious - the fire was gone...shortly after the band was history.
Love how quickly you joined in with the dance moves 😂. This was so much fun, and takes me back to the fun of the ABBA era! 💃🏼 🕺🏻

I am Swedish descent and I grew up with every ABBA song and know them all by heart. I love and miss their music. They made more money for Sweden (Sverige) than Volvo at the height of their career. Go Sweden!

At one time, ABBA was a bigger Swedish earner than even Volvo cars! After their break-up, the lovely blonde Agnetha became a recluse for many years; but she has recently been appearing in public again.
Both are myths. ABBA was more profitable than Volvo percentage wise, but they never made more money than them. Also Agnetha was never a recluse, she just took time away from the public eye. The Swedish press are just a bit more respectful and don’t go hounding people.

Anni-Frid was born the daughter of a Dutch mother and a German officer. Officers were told to father blue eyed blonds for the fatherland. Anni-Frids mother was wise enough to leave Holland for Sweden toward the end of the war, and it’s a good thing she did. After Germany’s surrender those children were terribly abused because they were German. The women who colluded with the Germans had their heads shaved and were dragged through the streets for people to hurl insults and beat them. My father was there with the First Canadian Division. He tried to stop it, but his army buddy told him not to interfere. People had so much pent up rage because of the atrocities they faced they had to unleash it somewhere. Anni-Frid always worried that someone would find out about her father, and how fans would react. She met him later in her life and I think they formed a relationship, but I’m glad she’s a princess. For some reason that makes me happy.

@@shannonsteiner8423 Can I just correct you on a couple of things. Anni-Frid was actually born in Norway, not far from Narvik, up in the Arctic Circle. Her mother was Norwegian. According to all the biographies and interviews, Anni-Frid was the result of a genuine but ill-fated love affair, the sort of which was happening all over war-torn Europe. Her father was a conscript into the regular army (Wehrmacht) and stationed in Norway from 1943. The breeding program (Lebensborn) was set up by the SS, the real master-race fanatics. SS members and the would be mothers were all vetted to prove their genes were 'pure'. Of course, Scandinavians and particularly Norwegians were seen by the Third Reich as ideal 'Aryans' so a number of Lebensborn homes were set up there during the war. But Anni-Frid's family had no contact with that organisation and she was born in her family home. She grew up believing her father had died as his ship returning to Germany was reported as sunk. It's true that she was in real danger, a Lebensborn product or not, from reprisals even as an innocent baby in post-war Norway. Luckily, her grandmother took her to the safety of Sweden. Her poor mother, heartbroken and ostracised, joined them but succumbed to kidney failure, aged only 21. So Anni-Frid was basically orphaned before she was two years old. Incredibly, thirty years later, Anni-Frid's father only discovered he'd sired a daughter before he was evacuated when her biography was shown in a German teen magazine featuring ABBA. In short, if ABBA had not become such a phenomenon, they would never have known each other existed. She's had some personal tragedies to deal with since ABBA broke up. But her life story is quite amazing and inspirational.

I was at an Abba Concert live in Sweden when I was young. It was an outdoor concert and we had great spots quite near the stage. All the best songs performed live. The best thing I've ever seen. Nothing can beat that.

I just finished watching the British comedy series "Saxondale". It stars Steve Coogan as an ex-roadie.

Our biggest swedish music export ever! So, so talented all four of them. Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Fried. When i was a little girl i always sang, everywhere! I didnt know any english but i sang ABBA songs escpecially ”Mama Mia”. And years later when i knew english a little better i sang the same song for my son when he went to sleep in the evenings.

I grew up listening to ABBA hits by listening to the A-Teens who debuted as a tween/teen band in the late 90s early 2000s. Their first album was all ABBA. I think they were also Swedish and they mimicked the brunette chick, blonde chick, brunette boy, blonde boy theme. Definitely created by corporate music companies as a way to make bank BUT the group did a great job of covering the songs which all had a modern synthetic flair and a faster techno dance beat as opposed to original. Very popular at the time and their videos were often played on Nickelodeon. I still listen to them today now and then. I consider them my guilty pleasure.

Promotional videos were not that common back then. UK viewers came to known them visually from regular appearances on the BBC's weekly pop show 'Top of the Pops' (that ran for something like thirty years).
