Wow! Incredible recovery, David. I liked the bowl before it blew apart. But now, I like it even more. If it were me turning the bowl, the pieces would have ended up in file 13 or the fire wood pile. But you, took a bowl full of lemons and turned it into lemonade. You came up with a very ingenious way to save the turning. This is why I think you are becoming one of the best wood turners in TH-cam. And believe me, there are many great wood turners on TH-cam and you’re among the best.

I can only agree with everyone else in thinking that the bowl is simply stunning. I also noted in the video when you were covered in resin threads. What a great look for Halloween!

You have to consider; not all TH-cam viewers are interested in watching the same content as all the other viewers, and wood turning is something particularly niche. Some of us really like watching the artistry, while others "can't imagine anything more boring" (as they slog through yet another video of snail races).
I know you know all that; I'm just voicing it "out loud" in print.

@@jb6712 I hear what you’re saying but there is a ton of people that do this professionally and as an amateur and he does phenomenal work even if you’re just admiring or using him as a tutor, if you’re watching and learning or admiring you should subscribe. Just my opinion but the views help keep the channel going.

what I love about crafts videos is that at any point the craftsman stops I think "man what a beautiful piece", and then I see the video still has 80% of its run time. I can never tell when they are done and am super surprised by the finished product

Amazing how you made the second bowl match the contours of the first before explosion.

Thanks Mark! It seemed like the only way to get full use use from the pieces, especially with how thin they were getting.
