- On my trip to find stuff to restore at the local junk market, I saw this PS4 controller in this bad condition, I decided to restore it and give it a new chance to live again. I am not sure if it’s real or fake. There are some pretty good fakes though.
After I opened the controller, I saw some fake parts! The battery is not even close to the original one. And it's a 600mAh battery. The original delivers 800mAh.
In this video, I'll fix the ps4 fake controller. DualShock PS4 Controller has an analog stick issue which I showed fixing more in-depth than usual for those who are interested. I also changed the charge port.

The PS4 Controller does not work when pressing the PS button, and it does not accept charging. The charging port may be damaged. I will replace it with a new one.
Also, the right analog stick needs to be changed because it is very soft and does not return to its place quickly.

This video will show you how to make your yellowed PS4 Controller look almost new again.
Playstation 3 Slim with No Power
Coat the plastic in hydrogen peroxide to fix discoloration. Hydrogen peroxide works well on plastics that have turned entirely yellow instead of in just one spot. Fill a plastic bag with enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the plastic. Stick the plastic in the bag of hydrogen peroxide and lay it out in direct sunlight. Wait 3-4 hours before rinsing it off with clean water.[5]
You can purchase hydrogen peroxide at a drugstore or big box store.
If you’re treating some sort of plastic mechanism, make sure you remove all the parts that aren’t plastic before putting them into the hydrogen peroxide.
You can also use an old toothbrush to scrub the hydrogen peroxide onto the plastic if desired

Was that IPA or contact cleaner you used to clean out the analog stick mechanisms? Also what are you buffing the controller with and why? Great results as others have said it looks better than new.

Damn i remember when i got my ps4 in 2015 on Christmas i got it with battlefront 1 and i think it was a special edition cause it’s matte and not shiny like other ps4s I still have it to this day with my original controller and after so many years only now I see some stick drift

What a pain to disassemble this pad when compared to Dualshock 3...
I disagree. My experience with disassambling Dualshock 3 controllers are worse than disassmbling Dualshock 4 controllers. Assambling the Dualshock 3 controllers are also hard for me because of the rear spongy trigger buttons being jammed in a weird position when fully assambled. I've never experienced that with the Dualshock 4 controllers 😅

its called melamine foam, same thing as whats known brand name wise as magic eraser.
Bro was litteraly on a 50/50 gamble with that battery poke.
A. The manufacturer sealed the battery to much and no gasses could escape
B. Their was a reaction in the battery that cause the cell to expand, and contact with oxogen will cause it to explode

You go about taking stickers and glue residue off, THE HARD WAY….Get yourself some “GOO GONE or some WD-40 Penetrating Oil. They both remove stickers and dissolve dried on glue residue, without harming the surface material.

Amazing work amazing restoration but one thing that i noticed is the controller is a fake/counterfeit. How do i know that is a fake i have bought the same controller but mine is a green camouflage one of the many ways that i know it a fake is the option and share button is not connected to the plastic the board connects and the controller charging port is also not an original and the battery to and the pad where the r1 r2 l1 l2 and the button up triangle X Circle etc the color is supposed to be blue but im not sure and also it has markings of a third party replacement company (the counterfeit works fine but when im using headphones theres no 2 directional sound so no left right audio the audio will be on all ears no right left type of thing and yes i have compared my fake controller with my real one)

@@gernualда это чистой воды развод, он в конце вообще другой геймпад взял. Если он изначально не работал, то если его зубной щёткой со спиртом потереть, то ничего само по себе не заработает. А уж как он джойстики вдшкой залил так вообще смех. Тут не то что реставрации, ремонта даже нет

No se si yo no lo llegué a ver, pero creo q te olvidaste de colocar los pequeños resortes metalicos q van en los botones L2 y R2. Lleva unos pequeños resortes q hacen q el boton este un poco mas firme al accionarlo. No vi si los colocaste pero creo q no. Saludos.
