The worst thing is that even if all the characters survive, they’re still trapped in the Entity’s game and forced to outrun the killers in an endless loop.
This was pretty good. Makes me think Augustine was Elodie’s mysterious employer, considering she was an artifact hunter. I think it would fit nicely in to the DBD lore.
This game ironically tells that the Entity originally didn't have a world to reside in. The Entity was an invader, the reason how the Entity is able to fabricate human objects is because it has already took over one world (on one timeline), and it uses everything in that world and its people as the starting retrospective of its tormenting game of feeding on false hope.
This game makes me wonder what would dbd be like if it was remake like this. Of course it might be impossible for them to remake the game with all the content it has plus the licenses as well.
Jaimie: "I think this guy is putting the moves on you, and I don't like it." Chris: "How can you think that? I'm breaking up with you!" She then returns to filming the chopped-off hand like nothing. Jaimie, she cares more about literal dead meat than your relationship. You'll dodge a bullet if you leave her there. Seriously though, props to the actors and actresses for being able to deliver such painful dialogue without cracking up.
You can tell that the events in this game took place sometime between 1950-1995. No cop would ever allow a civilian to call backup for him, nor would he give a civilian crucial evidence.
If the next chapter isn't frank stone and one of the survivors with the other 3 possible survivors as legendary skin, plus the manor as the map, they totally f-ed up the entire setup at the end. By survivors I mean Linda, Chris, Madison and Sam as they are the one present at the campfire when everyone survives and Chris stays in 2024. ❤
I feel like it's gonna be a full bundle with their next chapter. Frank Stone as a Killer and all 2024 Gang as the survivors (Madi, Linda, Sam and Chris) all with their own perks and maybe a few legendary skin too like "1980s Linda" and "1960s Sam"
I feel like Chris is gonna be a Legendary skin since she seems like the one who owned "Resilience" and "This is not Happening" general perks because of the icon image. Just a theory

I know I’m probably in the minority here, but I remember when DBD was new and this made me emotional. I never could play it 😂 I suck at these kinda games, but I was in love with the lore and original stories. It’s so cool to me to see elements and pieces of a game whose lore I adored so much, turned into something more (that isn’t just borrowing from other series). $40 or not, this game reminded me of my love for these games. Thanks for the gameplay, MK!❤
Graphics these days always blows my mind. And to think, when I was a kid playing video games, I played Atari 2600 and when I got a computer (a Tandy 1000), I was obsessed with Sierra games like King's Quest. If you're not familiar, look it up. The graphics were so ancient. You'll understand why my mind is blown by graphics today.
I think the dialogue in this game is more natural than other games I've seen like Until Dawn and such. Maybe there's not much gameplay, but would make a pretty good movie with some popcorns.

I am a little curious, i feel like this game was poorly advertised because i am active in the DBD community and i have only heard about it twice. Right now and about 3 weeks ago.
Just finished watching this finally. Wow. This is their best game to date. There's still a lot I'm curious about but this was great. The campfire, the loop, the time line jumping. Everything was well done. 9/10
Stan is just distracting the monster by being a painful crap he is. There is no happy ending. The moment they are in contact with the entity, they are imprisoned by their sickened games. (Pun intended)
Beetlejuice is only in the original movie for about 16 minutes if you count his time as a snake, otherwise its more like 13. By comparison i would say that Frank is fairly prominent in his own story
I feel like supermassive has this habit of writing long ass meaningless dialogues as well as making the characters argue and then suddenly agree with one another like they had DID
My computer isn't built for this game so I have to use this to watch the cutscenes with the audio matching. Otherwise it is just someone speaking and then a silent cutscene
Honestly i like the premise of this game...take DbD survivors and killers and make these sorts of games as a nice way to introduce new survivors/killers to the original game. Would be really cool to see the original DbD killers and survivors get their own little games like this as a nice tie in.
An hour and a half in. So much like a movie. And there's only like one or two different dialog choices I would have made so far. Otherwise this is very on point with how I'd play it. Making this an even more special movie-like experience :D

the game is made by Supermassive Games and they are well known for making “interactive movie” type of games where it’s more about choices and story than gameplay so that’s why it’s mostly cutscenes :)

I'll say that we can see it as, how the entity traps the killers and survivors, I think that's interesting, the music is good, like really good... When Linda found the tapes and this moan like sound, that you could both recognize as a person or an instrument playing, it's pulling you in. The story is fairly interesting, I didn't like the ending and how some of the plots were developed, 8 outta 10
I think I enjoy the other installations more with their premonition objects and world-exploring mechanics that are much more pronounced. This one however, is the best representation of SuperMassive Games' take on the Butterfly Effect, a concept deeply embedded within the choice of life and death games they've been creating. The idea of another choice bleeding into a brand new timeline is actually genius. This one however, has one of the better climax runs from SuperMassive games and I just know that DBD Fans and players are gushing over the easter eggs. Didn't have SuperMassive Games and DBD Collab in my bingo card this year that's for sure.

I wonder what at supermassive determines whether or not the mocap is going to capture the facial expressions and acting properly. The Quarry felt way less stilted, despite its issues. This story is fun, it's just a shame the emotions of the actors don't come through visually....... y'know, with how their faces are so blank all the time...
Ought this game on Saturday and best it today very fun game. It’s funny I paid $40 for the regular version and now I beat the game and it gives me the rewind and all the perks that you would get if you buy the $50 version. Crazy save your money and the game is quick

But you're telling me that this pretty much is a $40 "dlc expansion" to pre-'introduce Frank Stone a.k.a. "the champion" before bringing him into the game...?? :/ I mean... we have been given "possible mori" (Stan eaten), possible chase music, weapon cleaning cinematic... everything is there to be introduced into DBD. Just needed to pay $40 first "before" buying him for the extra $12 in game when he comes
