  • Mom, you can have a strong relationship with your teen daughter. Kari Kampakis offers insight into the world of teen girls-what they are dealing with, how they interact with their world, and what they need most from their relationships with you. She challenges moms to respond maturely by evaluating themselves and offers tips for communicating with their teen girls. You’ll be encouraged to intentionally connect with your daughter.

“One of the best way to love your teenagers is to love their friends.” I never heard that before but it’s profound wisdom. Thank you!

Hard to do when certain friends actions and behaviors are not aligned with basic decent principles that you teach your child. Uhhh!!!!

Thanks for sharing this information. My house was the hangout for my girls friends. One young lady is now 47. She called me a few days ago in despair over health issues. Her mom continues to yell at her in any decision she makes. She was upset about her health and disappointed her mom wasn’t loving on her. As I tell people. “I love you but right now I don’t like your actions”. Letting people know you love them is important.

My husband & I have 2 daughters 21 & 14 & have been having a difficult time w/our oldest because she enjoys being w/her friends from her job as they have much in common. She is now even drinking alcohol w/them. 😭 Will definitely get this book. I ask for prayer for my family. Blessings.

      Thanks for sharing, friend.
We can certainly understand your concern for your oldest daughter. Know that we'll be praying for her, asking the Lord to surround her with His loving presence, guide her every step, and lead her into His best plan for her life. We’ll also pray that He will comfort you and grant you wisdom and guidance as you look to Him for every need.
If you’d like to talk with one of our counselors about this (at no cost to you), simply call 855-771-HELP (4357) weekdays between 6 A.M. and 8 P.M. (MT).
Thanks again for writing. Grace and peace to you.

That shame reaction may be more common to boys but isn’t a typical male female divide. I felt shame most. We didn’t fight because I knew better than to fight.

Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:19-20

Please pray for me and daughter. Her friends don't come over and she doesn't want to invite friends over. They always go to her dad's and watch videos through the night. :(
