Love this movie! The quotability of it is seriously underrated. I still say "Holy Hell!", "Stop breaking the law, asshole!" and "(click) Deleted" all the time. Even the bloopers at the end are quotable. "A goose!' lol Now that spooky time is over, how about some Karate Kid and Cobra Kai? I can't wait until you get to them.

Hey Magy as always thanks for the reactions !👍❤️😊. I remember being a kid and seeing the movie in theaters when it first came out, It left me laughing out loud to being sad and it's definitely one of my favorite jim carrey films.
Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors since I first discovered him in Ace Ventura pet detective when I was 12 years old randomly flipping through the movie channels and ever since then every time he has a new movie come out I watch it ! Forever a Jim Carrey fan glad you enjoyed this movie it's one hell of a wild ride and your cheeks will hurt from laughing so hard 🤣 yes they do call him the king of physical comedy it's 100% true he's so expressive with his comedy especially at the end of the movie you get to see the gag reel the behind the scenes and all the actors are laughing in the background

It doesn't make any difference how many times I re-watch it, every moment still has me laughing just as uncontrollably as ever. When Jim Carey's character is chasing the plane using the stairs, the plane isn't taking off - it's taxiing. Taxiing involves moving fairly slowly via specially marked taxiways to get from the gate to the runway prior to takeoff. That's the only reason it worked. (Although, in real life, I doubt it would have even come close to working.)

He did The Number 23 which was very different for him and Dark Crimes. He is known obviously in Dumb And Dumber and he did Dumb And Dumber To back in 2014, he is Bruce Almighty, was in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, Kick-Ass 2, The Bad Batch, Mr. Popper's Penguins, A Christmas Carol, I Love You Phillip Morris, Yes Man, Horton Hears A Who, Fun With Dick And Jane, A Series Of Unfortunate Events, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, The Majestic, Man On The Moon, Me, Myself, And Irene, Both Ace Ventura Films, Batman Forever, Earth Girls Are Easy, Once Bitten, Peggy Sue Got Married, and a few TV movies in the 80's. Jim Carrey and Dick Van Dyke before him, were considered "rubber faced" comedians, stretching their face muscles to form just about anything they could think of. I think I saw that you did a reaction to Ace Venture: Pet Detective. If you're looking for another similar movie to react to, the sequel, Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls is an awesome and really funny one. I highly recommend it.

There’s another great comedy dealing with the consequences of lying called “The Invention of Lying”. It was written by and stars Ricky Gervais. It’s not as manic as this film, but it is very funny and thought provoking in it’s own way.
My brother and I saw this as kids and immediately started quoting it. If one of us walked into a room, one would ask "What are you doing?" and the other would respond, "I'm kicking my ass. Do you mind?!"
The book "The Truth Machine," by James L. Halperin, is an interesting take on this concept. In it, someone invents an infallible lie detector and its use ends up becoming pervasive for everyone in their everyday lives. You'd think that would be a disaster, and yet...
Other good Jim Carrey movies? You've already seen The Mask and now Liar, Liar. For other comedy, I would recommend Bruce Almighty (2003). Carrey also has a some good less-comedic films you should see: The Truman Show (1998) and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004).
I believe, with his stand up, the tv show he was on(In Living Color), all the movies, all the late night talk show interviews, etc., that Jim Carry is the best, most phenomenal actor of all time!

If you want to see a world without lying you should check out the film called "The Invention of Lying" starring Ricky Gervais. It's actually very heartfelt and funny, plus the concept is really interesting too.
This is one of Jim Carrey’s best films. It still makes me laugh so hard after all these years.

There are just some movies that nobody else could've made as good as Jim Carrey. This and Ace Ventura, for sure.

There’s another great comedy dealing with the consequences of lying called “The Invention of Lying”. It was written by and stars Ricky Gervais. It’s not as manic as this film, but it is very funny and thought provoking in it’s own way.
My brother and I saw this as kids and immediately started quoting it. If one of us walked into a room, one would ask "What are you doing?" and the other would respond, "I'm kicking my ass. Do you mind?!"
The book "The Truth Machine," by James L. Halperin, is an interesting take on this concept. In it, someone invents an infallible lie detector and its use ends up becoming pervasive for everyone in their everyday lives. You'd think that would be a disaster, and yet...
Cable Guy is a great Jim Carey movie but it makes a lot of movie references

Other good Jim Carrey movies? You've already seen The Mask and now Liar, Liar. For other comedy, I would recommend Bruce Almighty (2003). Carrey also has a some good less-comedic films you should see: The Truman Show (1998) and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004).
