Greatest show of all time

Uncle Junior will outlive everyone, lol
Sopranos is one of those television shows that established a beautiful balance between being Shakespearean, being a fantastic comedy and also being a legitimate soap opera - all the while never missing a beat with its masterclass nuances. Television like that is rarer than we think.
Will I be the first one or what? Charles Schwab ova here 🤣
Shakespeare wrote comedies too
Quasimodo predicted this
It's the sacred and the propane, we get it.
Remember when is the lowest form of conversation.
If you haven't seen The Sopranos, It's one of the greatest shows ever
yeah but didn't understand the ending
It's not one of.....it's the Greatest show ever 👍
@@yaminahasan5563 Journey was playing, Meadow came into the diner, Tony looked at her, bell ring, cut.
What is there to understand 🤣
@@matthewjenkins8506I personally feel Tony was killed at the end. There are lots of little hints pointing in that direction and also I feel Many Saints Of Newark confirmed it. We didn't see Meadow enter because Tony didn't get the chance to see Meadow enter. He was Godfather'ed.
@@NEOREV_MUSIC I've always thought that the cut to black was the best way to represent his death, so I do agree with you, however I also like the fact that David Chase has always refused to confirm it in interviews, because it's so much better this way. I honestly don't understand all those people who hated that ending, it's just brilliant.
The greatest tv show of all time. Never found anything better.
For me 'Boardwalk Empire' is a very, very close second.
The Wire
also six feet under
Unpopular opinion - 'Deadwood'
@@Jray181818Was just about to say this...I can't pick between them though as they're very different. Both amazing.
It wasn’t just a tv show it was art! James Gandolfini made Tony Soprano an icon you’ll never forget

Still the best TV drama I've ever seen. The writing, acting, music, cinematography, editing... stunning.
what about Sons of Anarchy?

4k blu-ray box set is what we really need for the 25th anniversary
No one buys physical media anymore.
I just bought the blu ray... after having the dvd for 10 Years 😅
But i wouldnt mind a 4k box.
collectors edition
Who the heck uses a blu-ray? The dvd is eternal
Borko: 25 years. Not a peep.

I'm fascinated by how this trailer is made for 2024 sensibilities; calling it a 'HBO Original', while true, is streaming language. Putting the gritty crime drama front and centre when the episodes themselves are never afraid to be funny and take their time, owing to weekly broadcast rather than binge-watching. And, of course, Woke Up This Morning [EPIC CINEMATIC ORCHESTRAL TRAILER MIX]
If you hadn't seen the show before it almost makes it look like your run-in-the-mill modern action garbage, the way new trailers are cut for both movies and TV shows is seriously pitiful, and with movies they literally just sum the whole story up in bloated trailers.
Well they have to appeal to the younger generations and they prefer more cliche dumbed down stuff. thats why the trailer is so generic
My son & I started it this past month, and everyday we love it more & more. Great writing and excellent actors. We have our post talk every night after an episode. We love this show!
You should have ended this comment with "He's 3."
It's one of those shows you can start and just leave on all day long.
A she was a whoah
The greatest TV show of all time
What about Sons of Anarchy?
@@anthonycampos8057sono of anarchy is an INCREDIBLE show. Beyond incredible. But nothing will ever touch the Sopranos, the effect it had over media, tv, writing, the sopranos was out when it had just turned to the 2000s, it was an incredible time too. That adds to it. The nostalgia of that time is unmatched and the acting is unmatched. There is not a better character written, or someone acted than Tony Soprano
@@anthonycampos8057 SOA is great but theres a litany of better shows
This show will always hold a place in my heart.
*Edit:* I’ll never forget my first time watching this show. It filled me with laughs, suspense, and sadness. A true roller coaster of emotions. I’ll be a fan of this forever.
The greatest show of all time. Hands down.
Ænima. The greatest album of all time.
That title actually belongs to the wire. The sopranos is definitely super top tier though
@@raymondsims7042 The wire is the affirmative action of tv 😂
The best character and show ever. I will be watching again on the 25th anniversary
This and The Wire are the greatest shows ever made nothing else even comes close
OZ was actually pretty decent too. Not as good as The Soprano's or The Wire though. Mad Men however belongs right inside the top 3 of greatest shows.
@@OnlineHipHopTVI love every show mentioned (well I don’t love Oz that became really really bad and has no business being in any conversation of best show ever) sopranos and mad men certainly rank very very high for me probably top 10-13 but not quite top three. My top three would be
The wire
Game of thrones
Six feet under
Better Call Saul is incredible, I'd check that out if you haven't yet. I know many still prefer the more action-oriented vibe of Breaking Bad, but for me it's my favorite show of all time.
@@PenitentOne69 better call Saul Is an absolute masterpiece top fifteen show I’ve ever seen easily. Breaking bad is top ten. How they created two of the best shows of all time in the same universe is nuts
1 of the best t.v. shows ever!!! I re-watch it constantly.
Im so glad i watched this amazing series during the 2020 pandemic

Sopranos revolutionized cable dramas. It carried anti-hero consept to television. It mangled with its viewers sympathy on these characters that are simply bad people. In one of the scenes Tony literally says “We're all murderers, for god's sake.” to imply that David Chase is talking to us.
I've started reviewing the best TV series in history about a week ago, and it's just the anniversary :) For me personally, this is an outstanding work of art, and the beauty of it is that it is not only about crime, but about everything-marital relationships, unfulfilled hopes, love, greed, betrayal, the relationship of fathers and children, life and death, the irony of fate. Endless thanks to David Chase for creating this masterpiece, Edie Falco for an amazing performance, all of the crew and, of course, to our beloved, and so early passed away Mr. James Gandolfini. Peace for everyone from Russia!

Пожалуй, лучшее, что было в истории телевидения.
One of the greatest audiovisual productions ever created, television or cinema. The Sopranos is my life long companion.
Love Sopranos RIP to those who have passed thank you for being such great actors and actresses ❤
My wife and I just finished it a month ago. My wife was initially hesitant to watch it, as she hates gangster movies.
When she saw the first episode, she really appreciated the character focused drama and how the family was a key part of the show.
Im glad Ive finally watched this masterpiece of a show as well
He was the most lovable gangster except when he wasn’t. Thanks for the memory, James Gandolfini.
Legendary Show‼️Nothing will eva compare to The Sopranos🇮🇹Rest in Peace James Gandolfini🕊️You’re sadly missed♥️❣️
The Soprano’s remains My favorite drama of all time, watched it from Season One.. Considered The BEST drama series from many sources plus groundbreaking in several ways.
❤
One of the greatest shows of all time.
I realize I'm getting old too since I remember looking forward to new episodes while I was still in HS.
It is sad to see some of these great actors that aren't here anymore.
I agree. It will never be the same.
The Quintessential Show of any & all of the Best Shows EVA‼️🇮🇹RIP James Gandolfini ❣️& all the cast who’ve sadly passed❣️
I've seen the series at least 8 times. And I'll probably watch it 8 more
You kick up to Borko, and that's the end of it.
This show was filmed in my New Jersey county. Good to know us Jersey folk influenced the entirety of modern television - happy anniversary Sopranos!
Right past exit 13 on the turnpike baby!🤘
I watched every episode as it was broadcast for the first time on television. Waiting week to week, season to season was exhilarating. That'll never happen again due to the modern era we're in.
The Sopranos is unique. It will live on, forever.
End of season box sets, I waited in line for the store to open to mail it to my BFF in A Stan! They were all so pumped. Great watching at the time, anticipation, ya know?
Not true. HBO still waits a week to show the next episode, instead of releasing the whole season at once
Makes me want to rewatch it 4th time again one of my favourite series!
CHRiSTa-FuHHH‼️
25 years in the can...
Wish they have some kind of sequel in a Soprano-Verse
I come from an Italian / Jewish family, and we watched Sopranos every night on Sunday during its initial run. Probably the only time my family was ever united and peaceful.
This show is the reason why we have so much quality TV now… it changed the game. Without it, we wouldn’t have Breaking Bad, Mad Men, True Detective, and any other good quality tv shows.
Say it louder for the people in the back. Truth
Can you imagine that, watching the sopranos 25 years ago and 25 years later watch it again?
Yeah could you imagine that! Watching the sopranos 25 years ago and 25 years later, watching it again

My favorite episode is Hughs' 75th Birthday party. That classic East Coast summer bbq feeling if you grew up on Long Island and went to VFW hall parties, you know what I mean. It feels like family.
Before Breaking Bad, there was The Sopranos.
Sopranos is far better than breaking bad
If it wasn't for The Sopranos, Breaking Bad would have never been.
@@sharadsingh3366 It isn't. Breaking Bad has even better writing. But that doesn't really matter, because both shows are brilliant.
I really wish The Many Saints Of Newark was a mini series instead of a film. I enjoyed the movie, but it could've been an amazing mini series to help explore these characters even further. It was really special getting to see James Gandolfini's son Michael take on the role as young Tony. It made me want more time with these characters. The Sopranos is a show that I keep coming back to. I didn't call it the greatest show ever right from the start. It became the greatest show ever when I kept finding myself drawn back to it again and again.
RIP James Gandolfini
Absolutely. TBH I didn't enjoy it at all...the whole thing felt rushed and the vibe as a result was very different to Sopranos. Gandolfini's son was amazing in it though and I still think they could make a decent prequel series with him.
@@gazman9468 that movie was a hit piece against italians, a mockery of the original show, and straight up BLM propaganda
Been taking Christmas down in my home to these episodes on HBO!! IFYKYK!!!! xo
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
i am so happy that the sopranos were made and will never disappear. they don't make 'em like they used to
The Sopranos and The Wire is two of my favourite HBO show.
I like The Wire more but The Sopranos have a special place in my heart because i watched it during the 2020 Pandemic
The Wire has nothing on The Sopranos.
The show that helped make HBO what it is today
yes that & Fraggle Rock
The 🐐 of TV shows im sure i will not see anything in my lifetime that could or will beat it.
The Sop🔫anos IS Thee ABSOLUTE BEST Series, EVER. 🔥🔥🔥
RIP Jim, thank you for all of the magic - one of the greatest actors of all time
Greatest show of all time.
I finished this show over winter break and this video makes me wanna watch it all over again.
We need the version of this song
I know people say this all the time. But I truly love this show and is my all time favorite. I watch every episode from beginning to end at least once every year and a half. ❤
As far as I know, some critics even tried to dissuade Chase from filming about the mafia, as the days of the mafia are supposedly long gone and it’s not interesting anymore. And, as a result, The Sopranos became one of the most ingenious and magnificent TV series, which combines almost everything: the decline of Italian American organized crime (Tony’s monologue actually begins from this in the first episode), the confrontation between traditional and liberal values in Tony’s family (the eternal problem of parents and children), a reflection of American realities (fear of terrorism after 9/11, the struggle of native Americans with the legacy of Columbus in one episode, etc.), the Italian American theme itself is very vividly shown, I think (the Italian American accent, music, references and so on). The parallel narration of family and criminal life is brilliant - I think, not a single film or TV series copes with this task like The Sopranos did.
In addition, Bryan Cranston himself said that without Tony Soprano there would be no Walter White.
Happy 25th anniversary from Moscow!
James was one of the greatest characters in tv history sir Thank you and you are missed
Please bring out the 25th Anniversary 4k box set......please, please
I'm thinking of rewatching it again. This series gave a realistic view of "you get your hands dirty enough; it will catch up with you."
So, so good! Also very funny in places! Will always revisit and watch again. TV at it's very best.....

Nothing can come CLOSE to “The Sopranos” level of greatness!!! Often imitated but never replicated!!!
I have rewatch it about 4 times I'm so jealous of anyone that's starting out to watch it for the first time😢

As i write this I'm watching this most awesome series in my apartment in Thailand.
It never gets old and being a Jersey Boy myself at 68.
Those bonds growing up in those years of the 1960's and 70's as they show Tonies dad and Jr. as Tony being a kid are my memories to.

Best. Show. Ever.
Best TV show of all time
Having watched this trailer, I feel we're at the precipice of a giant crossroads
The Wire and The Sopranos will always be the two greatest television series of all time. There is almost no argument you can make to suggest otherwise.
Absolutely two of the best, The Wire is what i personally consider to be the best of all time. Band of Brothers, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, first season of True Detective, Chernobyl, Succession, Game of Thrones (up until a point at least), Das Boot (The original uncut TV series in 6 parts) are the other ones i consider to be the absolute best.
