@@dezperado9365 Yeah but Tony is obviously featured pretty heavily. @@dezperado9365 Yeah Rolling Stone just posted an interview with David chase where he talks about that. Tony is obviously a main character, but the story revolves around Dickie. He seemed a bit annoyed how heavily they portrayed it as a tony/sopranos story in the trailer.

Does anyone remember when James Gondolfini won an Emmy and he shouted out his son from the podium by sticking out his tongue and making a fart noise? I hope the kid gets a chance to return the gesture to his father. He’s got huevos for taking on this role. From the trailer it looks like he killed it.
One of my favorite NYC memories: at a kid's birthday party at Chelsea Piers, the whispers went around the room: James Gandolfini was playing video games in the arcade with his son. I went over for a glimpse. Father and son were side by side at two different consoles, single-person shooters, both of them firing away in classic, spread-legged, two-handed stances. Classic.
2:07...The way Dickie’s actor does that hurt, look of disbelief, slightly puckers his lips, followed by the head dip movement like the strength left his neck for a second when his uncle told him to stay out of Tony’s life is just like Chris would do when Tony blew him off harshly, or said something cold is just spot on. What a great subtle touch to connect father and son.

This trailer is better than the movie.
The attention to detail in this trailer is amazing and perfectly conveys that Tony never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
He nailed that “what’d you say?” Line that James always did in the original show
Indeed!! He nailed his smirk too !!!
“Wadijoo shae”
Looks decent. Hopefully more will follow this film
Definitely has his father's facial expressions. Even with the teeth when he says what'd you say? Can't wait to see it
I know that sons can look and sound like their fathers but that was insane.
James Gandolfini would be proud of his son playing one his greatest characters and also i think he would be proud of this movie.
He truly would.
100% I can fully see James in his son. Makes it more believable for us that he’s playing a young Tony. So hype for this movie!
@Qanon for morons here's hoping the success of the film turns into a series
Amen to that sir
What a insightful comment.
What's funny is that this movie had nothing to do with Tony Soprano. This is pretty much false advertising.
Just his facial expressions alone make him the perfect young Tony. Apple doesn’t fall far from the tree at all

LOWER your expectations. I'm really serious. Lower them.
Isn't it his son or are you saying he's just like him lol
The resemblance between Mike and his father is insane
Right, it's insane! It's almost like one of them spawned from the other ones tadpoles.
There is enough of a son/father resemblance there that this will be an insanely good show.

@Steven Roza in the show when Christopher goes to visit his mother and sees the picture of him and Dickie, that’s an actual photo from Michael imperioli’s childhood. Thought 3: David Chase would never cast someone to play one of the most iconic characters ever unless they could pull it off.
@@dezperado9365 Yeah but Tony is obviously featured pretty heavily. Even if a lot of the story revolves around Dicky a lot of this is also giving us a look into how that character, who was only barely mentioned in the Sopranos, acted as a mentor for a young Tony Soprano and shaped who that iconic character would become.

What a great subtle touch to connect father and son.
