I am not a Mormon but, these choristers look and sound _sublime_ The Messiah Oratorio is, for me, the one piece of music that I would never get sick off, no matter how many times I hear it. I am sure G.F. Handel had some divine inspiration when he composed this gem!
"I am sure G.F. Handel had some divine inspiration when he composed this gem!" Just to point out, most of the music was reused from... less than holy operas he had previously composed😅
I remember singing with this choir (one of my life wishes) when I visited during a rehearsal. Of course with 650 voices they never heard me but OH BOY was I singing!
Oh, they heard you alright! Oh, I should like very much to sing it with a choir too - the mezzo and the soprano parts - , and then the mezzo airs and then the soprano airs. That would make at least four performances with me singing the different parts I can. I'm training my voice for it too. 😊🙏🏽🙌🏽 Shalom, Carolyn 💐
This is the first " classical music " I heard and sang in High School many moons ago. Then years later I heard the Messiah and I am still very much in love with it and other pieces of Handel. This is definitely Heavens music 🎶 🎵
The Messish is the Story of Redemption. The story told in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Handel wrote this magnificent oratorio in 3 weeks. It is the greatest piece of chorale music ever written that tells the true story of God's love for all mankind. It takes simple faith to believe.
my soul is lost in the praise of the glory of God. I thank God for the works of George Frideric Handel. God mightily used him to make such beautiful compositions.
wonderful and awesome, it is good indeed to sing to the Lord God for in him the heart is at peace and calm. I wish to be there someday Amen. Thank you Jesus Christ
I would honestly say that this is one of the best performances of the Halleluja. Perfect tempo, good phrasing, excellent musicians!! Majestetic as it is supposed to be!! 👏🏻
One of my greatest things over the years was attending a practice session in the small church atSalt Lake City and hearing the choir. It was an a cappella event too
I've come to know God love to be worshipped in different ways .Catholics, Adventists, Pentecostals, Mormons, Wesleyans, etcetera, All for His power and Glory He deserve it all
I have always enjoyed Messiah and this is one of my favorite pieces in Messiah besides the Hallelujah Chorus. I don't think I have heard anyone sing this better than the Tabernacle Choir except for the people who were involved in the 250th Anniversary of Messiah.
My favorite chorus from the Messiah. I've been blessed to have been able to sing the oratorio about 30 times with different choirs over the years. A holiday tradition.
Handel was one the greatest composer ever existed. The perform of The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra, is Majestic and sublime; in sum, purely perfection.
Thanks for yet another gift of song. This isn't merely a performance, but rather heartfelt worship. from a lifelong Christian and newly baptized brother Mormon.
When I'm down-hearted, the Tabernacle Choir lift my spirit especially with Rock of ages song.Keeping on doing the good work. If you were local I would join it immediately.
MoTab. The Mormons have kept the music. This is the gold standard. Best choir in the world imo although there is another choir up the road called University of Utah Singers that turn heads.
This is the best music coz am also in a church choir here in Uganda 🇺🇬 Called. Amus College School charpel choir but we need some of your assistance 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I didn’t like the pause between shall be (pause) reveled at the begging. I know it’s their own tribute and perhaps wanted to make their own version of it. With Handel you don’t make your own version. You just sing it as written. It was always perfect and magnificent the way Handel wrote it !
I think that many large organs such as that one might have those pipes at the front just for show, whilst the actual pipes that are used are behind those. Perhaps they are functional in this organ though...
Handel wrote "The Messiah" in only three weeks in 1741. One of the glories of German music, Handel's oratorio “Messiah” was first performed in Dublin at the New Music Hall in Fishamble Street at noon on April 13th, 1742. Brilliant!!!
One of the greatest operatic choruses ever written.
My school days as a chorister will forever be memorable to me for the rest of my life
Must have been a joy is a wonderful holy and blessed and God bless you all
Oh, Praise God!
Me too!

This is not a "Mormon" piece.
Yes, I’m sure he did! Thank you Lord!

They are the finest choir in the world
Such music elevates the best of human emotion
George Fridriech Handel was truly touched by God. Sent to remind us of his presence.
He sure was especially since he wrote Messiah in 3 weeks!
❤ No doubt about the musical blessing God endowed him with.Amen❤
Very much so
I'm missing my choir days back at school 7 years ago when we sang this song❤so much nostalgia😢

Handel fue un genio,,,,,,,
It might seem strange to some but I like listening to the Messiah and I am an atheist.
That is beautiful. I do hope you get to experience Jesus someday. He is awesome!
You’re not an atheist anymore ✌️
You are a child of God
Whether we believe it or not, the light of Christ is in us all.

My school children sang this song in their competition and it was heart melting, Glory to the work of music.
Wow! For children to sing such a set piece would melt my heart even more. Bless them💞💕😘.
my soul is lost in the praise of the glory of God. I thank God for the works of George Frideric Handel. God mightily used him to make such beautiful compositions.
Handel was a magnificent composer, and "The Glory Of Lord" is my favourite part of "The Messiah".
Soul lifting, I feel the presence of God listening to this angelic music. We once sang it during a singing competition and I love it.
