Unfortunately the new Sony MDR-1A doesn't fit this case without squashing them quite (too) tightly together, going to have to return mine....(the case not the headphones!).
Nice little review - I just bought the MDR-1RBT and they are as good as everyone says they are. Mine came with the bag as well. I just don't get these mfgs provide cheap bags - cost I'm sure, but I would gladly a little more for pay for a Sony branded hard case. the 1RNC comes with a semi-hard carrying case. I wonder if the 1R still comes with a bag or a case.
