    This video is kind of old, but if you haven't figured out by now, the 4 way joy stick is for the old games like Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and other games that used a 4 way joy stick. It's actually easier to play these games with the 4 way rather than the 8 way more modern games use. If you ever tried playing Super Pac-man with an 8 way joy stick you'll realize why you want a 4 way.

    • @PrimeCollectibles
      @PrimeCollectibles  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, I did actually know that, but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference compared to the 8 way. You (and others) have made me realize how wrong I was though. - Thanks for the comment!

    It's not worth the money. You can build the same thing and put thousands of games on your own for a decent amount of money. If you have the money to spare and don't care about money then yeah by all means spend that kind of money but you can get that all done for 700 dollars.

    it's a nice set up and if it's worth that cost to you, then that's all that matters.
    we all have our own ideas on what the perfect set up is.
    I started out with a pandora stick, with 5k games hooked up to my 65Inch TV, then I got an old PC gutted the pandora into a controller loaded it all up with batocera has over 100k games.
    Now I've built a cabinet from scratch, took 2 days to build, it houses that same old PC and uses Sanwa sticks and buttons, has a 60inch screen and has 3 screen marque utilizing 3 old PC monitors and custom graphics on cab..the whole build has cost £1000

    Very late to the party but wow what an exceptional video and cabinet bro. Thanks for sharing. I will certainly be picking up a Megacade *SOME* day. As for the price, might be controversial to say, but what a lot of people don't realize is, when you buy this monster of a cab, you're getting over 200,000 games with it. Now I'm not going to get into the gray area here, but if you were to purchase every single game individually on its own, you'd end up paying over a million dollars lol. Good value for the money? Absolutely!

      @@PrimeCollectibles The other side is there's alot of tech issues that come up with stuffing multiple different emulators into a single unit and running them all. You didn't have to take the time to organize it all, program it, and trouble shot it. People obviously can collect a ton of roms on their own, but your time is not free. It likely would take you as individual many man hours to compile everything they already did. You can do this is cheaper ways(even just buy a harddrive preloaded with tons of games) but you're doing it with style. You have a one of a kind cabinet that is awesome to play games on. I can see myself owning something like that at some point in the not too distant future.

    They are very impressive and extremely tempting. However, I learned long ago; You're NOT going to play Resident Evil nor Legend of Zelda on a Arcade cab. You're NOT really gonna play Console games on a Cabinet. I took a A1UP and installed EVERY Arcade Game that boots into the frontend @ start up. Best to buy a 16TB Hyperspin HDD and install it on a dedicated PC connected to you TV.

    Awesome arcade you have, i just finished my own arcade and i can say its worth it. I hope it has a coin container, because thats the thing that makes it different, from a topbar arcade, or even holding a controller on a pc. The song of the coin getting in and giving you a credit its priceless. They arent hard to addm i can see you already have 12v for the lights of the bottons, so its easy to wire and to cut the wood. You just need some daisies for the negative and 12 v and, another negative and sharing the cable of the coin slot. But most of the time they have two pins on jamma cables.

    That is a beautiful arcade machine. In my opinion, it's easily worth $8 grand. Just setting up the software with all those roms could be hundreds of hours of work. I personally would rather have this as opposed to a dozen arcade1ups with maybe 50 games. One game recommendation for the spinner control, Disc of Tron. Hey Jayson - Dude I gotta give it up for your hot diggity taste in gaming machines. This was spectacular and the time was so appropriate because I took my 1st grader to the arcade at Pinstack Bowling yesterday and we spent the entire time playing Arcade Halo and Jurassic Park shooters. And while that awesome experience was on my mind, you just blew me away with this DOPE arcade machine.
    It just took my back to being a kid and biking on my Huffy bike to 7-11 and the neighborhood arcade afterwards to meet my brother and all our friends to basically game all Saturday afternoon and evening blowing out the entire paper route job allowance in one day followed by deep dish Godfathers Pizza and Slurpees afterwards. While I definitely don't have the coin for something as awesome as what you have, I was curious what you think of some of those more affordable bootleg Chinese arcade couch cabinets on Amazon and EBay. They claim to have like thousands of games too but many are repeats. Also, TMNT, Golden Axe and SF II were my favs too. Do you know how some players get random characters like Thundercats, DonaldDuck, and Justice League to pop up on Street Fighter? I've been seeing a bunch of replay videos on TH-cam about that recently.
    Thanks again for showing us this tour of your super fine Arcade cabinet.

    • @PrimeCollectibles
      @PrimeCollectibles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh man, yes! Spending my paper route money on candy at the local 711 then hitting up my favorite arcade. I have the same memories. Incredible times. - So the bootleg Chinese couch cabinets are probably pretty good too, just different. They likely run on a Raspberry Pie, so they won't have the newer console emulators, but I'm sure they'll run MAME and a lot of others. My concern would just be after-purchase care with those, which I would imagine is fairly non-existent, but I could be wrong. I think ppl are modding old ROMS and creating new, hybrid games to get those fighters that have other sprites/characters like Donald Duck. I have an emulator on this machine with some of those games, but they're really unreliable and crash all the time.

    I've been restoring legit arcade games for about 20 years, and polishing emulator compatibility for just as long. I build legit home cabinets, fixtures, and built-in bookcases by trade.I just built a few prototype pedestals and cabs that are way closer to actual arcade spec and build quality, based on actual machine designs, and before paint, they take less than 8 hours. I don't understand why these take so long unless they're outsourcing EVERYTHING but the build and wiring.
    Ive learned their wrap design is overseas, then printed in michigan, and they have a group that basically refines hyperspin for them.
    If I get another experienced finish carpenter under me, tell extreme home arcades im coming for them.

    Some of those games really take me back. Remember Bad Dudes, Ninja Gaiden, Rolling Thunder? As much as I enjoyed them Im a graphics snob and just cant get into alot of the older games now.

      Oh man, yeah some of those are great. I still love retro games, I like new, graphically impressive games too, but I don't put them in the same category. To me I can appreciate both types in the way that I can appreciate both live action movies and Anime (for example).
