you can hear the large red trees heart beat while ‘watering’ them. you can hear the ghastly breath of the many grey trees. you can hear the mannequins breathing. this layer is a massive fucking slap to reality of how shitty the Ultrakill universe really is. A huge tragedy really.
If the three lines in the beginning of the game doesn’t show the tragedy of the universe, then this layer will, with the terminal lore and the details that you pointed out. Mankind is dead Blood is fuel Hell is full
@@TheAbyssalStorm exactly, despite knowing that this would all end with V1 exterminating the last life - last remnant of man and perhaps entire life in the universe Violence slapped me in my face. To me it kind of symbolises Hell realising how big of a threat this at first unimportant seeming robot is - as he delves deeper into Hell, destroying its life and therefore entertainment - I mean ffs Hell has literally resurrected man’s most powerful war machines to create an environment to counter V1. And despite all that he keeps going. Relentless speed, billions killed in under a day, entire layers collapsed by V1 single-handedly. I think the slap in the face is due to how light hearted Act 1 and Act 2 were in a way. Act 1 apart from Lust somewhat was very lighthearted and fun - Heresy despite being a hellish arena is still incredibly fun. But this warzone is a completely new change of pace. 7-3 got me on edge and when I saw the blood red starry night illuminate the Earthmover I almost shat myself.
@@psychoblagger If I remember correctly from what I’ve read in Inferno, the city of Dis in Heresy is essentially the gateway unto the lower hells, Violence, Fraud, and Treachery, so they are going to be less light hearted than the other layers. I’ve only just started reading the cantos (chapters) that take place in Fraud, but I can tell you that it delves into some dark places from what I already know about the layer.
@@TheAbyssalStormFraud has some grim stuff in it, but the flatterers being literally immersed in shit is pretty funny. Looking forward to see how Hakita & co. represent Fraud in the game. At least they will do a better job than the actual Dante's Inferno game, that's for sure.
love how you just bob your head at 18:30 like "WOOOOH YEAH BOMB"
the title of 7-4 is a reference to raise your fists like antennas to heaven, pretty dope.
The boss name is a reference to earthmover by have a nice life
@@Greetanate ive heard some have a nice life
