I secretly hope he purposefully presents this way for his sets and when he leaves out the back door his hair is slicked, his glasses on, and his hot alter ego slips out unnoticed. Not that there's anything wrong with him the way he is, but he gets so much fodder from the self deprecation that it hurts my heart a little. This clip was one of my favorites, he's hilarious!

He did them a long time ago....then he disappeared for a few years.....and now he's making a comeback. So he's probably using his old classic jokes as a way to ease back in.
I remember my uncle once telling a back-in-the-day story about a gal he was calling "Ol' blue-eyes"; we're from a very rural area with only a few dozen families, mostly brown hair and brown eyes, and I was trying to think of who the heck he was referring to. Eventually my cousin asked "Who's this 'blue-eyes' lady?" and my uncle said "You remember Martha Nash*? She had one eye that blew east, the other blew west, we couldn't ever tell what the heck she was looking at," and we all lost it. *name not changed for privacy, I don't care if she reads this
