    I actually plan out my meals for the entire day before having breakfast. I find it a good way to track my calorie intake and avoid impulse snacking.

    Now that is what I call an *Beginner* guide. Informative, yet simple and easy.
    And yes, that is actually quite an hard thing ... can't count how often I have seen beginner cooking videos with recipes that already needed special cooking knowledge or beginner workouts that even average fit people would find insane. XD
    Also her fashion sense is awesome :)

    I consider this video to be maybe the best you've ever done. The advice is direct, practical, and do-able. Your presentation was clear, engaging, and presented with lots of energy. At the start of this summer, my MD told me to lose 16# by my October app't. I have made that goal and I found meal prepping and calorie counting was essential to success. I also got a lot of use out of buying a decent, not expensive food scale to measure my proteins and carbs to stay within my target goals. At this stage I don't much care about proportions, just total calories. My future goals are too ramp up my exercise program (partially so I can eat more!) in order to begin moving some body fat into muscle mass. I firmly believe that maintaining mental acuity, avoiding obesity, and retaining both some muscle mass & joint strength and flexibility are pretty much the formula for health. You are appreciated. Thank you so much.

      Tracey T 4 days is fine. People get grossed out because we’ve all been made into germaphobes or bacteria phobes. Anything I don’t eat within 4 days goes in the freezer

    That's basically what I'm already doing while living in the dorms. I'm too lazy to cook every single day and don't always have time either, so I prepare food for 2-4 days. Prepping is time and energy efficent. You would spen about as much time and energy cooking smaller amount of food. But meal prepping won't work, if you prepare food for many people....

      You have to up your calcium by 150mg for every cup so you might want to supplement when you drink it

      Id say its rubbish keep drinking green and other tea s. I drink 2 to 4 cups green tea daily i have no issues...

      Half of asia including Japan is consuming plenty of green tea and their diet is considered to be one of the healthiest. Never heard about this being an issue there.

    Hello Joanna! I just want to thank you for your videos and the support you send us thru them. I have struggled with my weight and self-steem always but things complicated more when I moved to Canada. As student, I am finding difficult to sustain or rework these habits, and discipline myself while keeping my budget and doing my work at University. I miss home, my mom's food and how easy it was in México to get delicious, fresh and cheaper food! But all your videos have inspired me, made me aware of this Essential and somehow challenging labor that is taking care and love and nourish ourselves, and moreover do something about it while keeping it healthy with our life and mind.     For a family , the place taken in the fridge can be too much. So , I only chop, bake, everything for the days to come and separate everything in boxes. Later, I just have to mix or finish cooking.

    Its frustrating when i literally dont know what to cook i dont know how to cook . I basically eat everything but limit them and more dancing a working out . Is that ok ?
    I dont eat much junk foods tho nowadays i dont eat in restaurants i just eat what my mom prepare , instesd of softdrinks i drink hot warm water

    And before you do any of this make sure your fridge is cleaned out and the kitchen is clean & clear. Sucks to plan and go to store and on top of prepping and cooking you have to clean fridge out.

    If im gonna bring the food to school for lunch, is it okay to reheat it in the morning then eat it by lunch? Will it spoil?

      Cinds CT it should be fine depending on what food and how long for. Hence I like to prep salad for lunch, cause that can be eaten chilled . 😉
