You're lucky to find remnants that aren't just polar fleece! I did pick up one, and it's now a well-worn and loved hooded fleece vest, but there's only so many things you can make with polar fleece haha. I did finally score a pattern this morning at Hobby Lobby that I couldn't find either of the JoAnn's stores that I'm located between. I'm at the cutting table this afternoon; all the materials I need for the costume I have in mind have been gathered and I'm cutting them all now. I should be able to get a good start on the sewing tomorrow. Getting a firm idea in mind is most of the challenge 😉. I sent you a thank you recently for the thoughtful package you sent for your giveaway. That was such a nice thing to do! 🥰
By the time my sister and I were visiting grandparents' farms, my maternal gparents were the only ones still working their fields. My grandpa Smith, who had formerly farmed bottomland near the Des Moines River, was still cutting alfalfa around their farm. Grandma would take us with her to deliver lunch to him wherever he was. My mom tells the story of her job bringing the cows in for supper. Pretty much like you've said, you just show up and they all start walking single file to the barn. 😁

Tiffany, Addy June looks adorable in that previous dress you made for her. Josh is going to have to beat the boys off her when she gets older.😊 I finished a little hat about an hour ago for my great grandson that is due next month. I made it out of a pair of my son's military pants. Am cutting out a knit t-shirt for the great grandson also. I hope you have a great weekend as well.
