    As someone who’s been riding and owned horses for over 25 years, when this came to broadway here in LA I saw it six times and it was even more beautiful each time I watched it, so much thought and practice went into getting Joeys (and the other horses) movements down perfectly and as a horse woman I appreciated that. I do wish this show would come back because it truly was something absolutely amazing.

    Joey is the coolest! The puppeteers really have the moves, gaits and the nuances of horse behavior down. The impression of the weight of his footsteps, and weight shifting, how his ears convey emotion and intent truly give him personality. Just wow! Fantastically natural movement.

    12:45 the light horse on the left leans towards the darker one, as if to say; 'Youknow what, Í believe.....it might be a...*whispers* robot..."

    This reminds me of the puppets in "The Lion King"! You know it's not real but you're still fascinated, believing in the magic no matter what your age.

      Equestrian Texan ive seen the movie, the show and read the book, i think all three are amazing and offer different perspectives. The play is beyond beautiful.

    • @equestriantexan3535
      @equestriantexan3535 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're right, they offer different perspectives but I personally think that the movie should have followed the book and gotten the facts right. In the book, the boy was never wounded and the horse got sick toward the end of the book. No Offense.
